She's Here!!!!!

Happy Birthday Cloe!!!

Clovia Marie

July 30th, 2007

8 Pounds 2 Ounces

10:01 a.m.

20 inches

birth story below.......

I am expecting my third daughter around July 28th, 2007. Even though I've done this twice before, I still can't wrap my head around it. THREE!!!!!! What in the world were we thinking (well we obviously weren't thinking at the time!).......I mean, life with two works so well...car for four, table for four, I only have two hands........how will we cross the street? Even booking a vacation will be hard, most hotels only offer rooms for four!

Obviously , I am starting to be nervous. After two misscarriages two years ago, I thought I was done with my two girls. Then I spotted with this one and figured another misscarriage, but after switching doctors and taking progesterone, this one stuck! I was too afraid to feel excited, then morning sickness kicked in and was too sick to feel excited. And right about the time I could eat human food again, this wierd (never experienced before) sciatica kicked in and again was in too much pain to feel excited. NOW I am 31 weeks pregnant and to scared of Labor (again!) to be excited!!!! besides the fact that we are in the process of moving (needed a bigger house, right?) Who wants to pack up and un pack in their 8-9th month of pregnancy while watching two kids in the middle of summer....I can't breath in the heat!!!!!

Obviously, I have joined this website just to vent!!! On that note, I really REALLY HATE it when people ask what it will be,

"Oh, Do you know what it is yet?"

YEs, it is a girl!

"ANother Girl!" said in high pitched voices, with these scary frozen smiles on their face.

Yes, I am like the fricken Little House on The Prarie family with all these girls and no boys (my husband can adopt a boy from the street just like Charles did or Angelina Jolie) Seriously, I am so grateful to be blessed with ANY children, much less give a damn about their sex. I am also so used to lil girls, I wouldn't know what to do with a boy....BUT WHY do people feel the need to be so wierd about it . Why do people feel the need to comment on PREGNANT women, their weight, what they eat, drink, breast feed or bottle feed, co sleep or family bed.....DUDE its not your BUSINESS and I didn't ask for your opinion.....I DON't even KNOW YOU!!!!!!

WHEEEEW/.......I feel so much better now, don't you? Now if only I could push this kid down a lil bit. She is pushing on my ribs and it is a lil uncomfortable.

At least my hair is REALLY shiny!

July 5, 2007

I have developed a serious Love/Hate relationship with my body pillow! While I mostly sleep comfortably with it, some days I hate it. This morning I woke up to pee, and couldn't fall back to sleep with it. Turning from side to side at 36 weeks is hard enough without flipping this gigantic pillow with me and No matter if the AC is on, I wake up drenched where my body is hugging this pillow, specially between my boobies. While I look foward to meeting my daughter, I really really can't wait to sleep on my back again!!!! ALothough how much sleep I will get for the first few weeks, (months? years?) is questionable, at least I will be able to snuggle up with the hubby again. The closest we get at night is when i push his leg off my body pillow or when i get back from the third bathroom visit to find him suggled up with it. We can't even cuddle anymore as, I am just TOO DAMN HOT!!!!!

July 28, 2007 DUE DATE!!!!!!!!!!

So I am now at my due date, as many of us are. I never thought to get here as this is my third and I (wrongly) assumed the more you have the earlier you will be! DUH! I guessed wrong....I am now under the assumption that the more you have the longer the baby WANTS to stay in as she has heard all the craziness that is goin on in my home and she has decided she likes it where she is...... I was induced with my first due to low amniotic fluid 2 days before due date. 24 hour labor. IT Stunk And I had my water broke for the second baby two days before due date...3 hour labor. STILL HURT. Well now my new Doc is all for for letting me go on my own. I complained about fear of big baby..last one was 8.9 but she said baby had PLENTY of room to grow and gave me an appointment for next FRIDAY! HELLO!!!!! who goes into 42nd week in this day and age?????

BIRTH STORY
I went to bed Sunday night expecting to be pregnant forever. At 3a.m., I woke up and could feel fluid leaking and knew my water broke. It was very surreal. I went to the bathroom, collected the bags, made a bag for my girls and then called the Doc. The wierdest thing was that I always woke up at 3 to pee EVERY night for the past three months. Doc said to come in even though I was not having comtractions. I was three centimeters dialated the last visit and my last labor was only three hours. By the time I dropped the girls off and got to the hospital it was almost 5. I asked for an epidural right away. Since I was 5 centimeters they said yes even though I was still having very few contractions. Doc said they would start pitocin by 9 if my contractions didn't kick in. I was pretty comfortable.... after I threw up and used some oxygen to calm down as I was nervous.....especially after i got epidural. At 8:30 I told the nurse I felt some pressure. She freaked and called the Doc. Turns out I was 9 1/2 centimeters dialeted. They pulled out the catheter (i felt that later!!) and got out all the supplies . Next thing they are pushing my legs up and telling me PUSH! I didn't realize I was that ready. I pushed like six times. My contractions were still eratic and at one point her head was half out but I had to wait 5 minutes for my next contraction to push!!! Clovia Marie was born at 10:01 a.m. and was 8 pounds 2 ounces. She is beautiful, dark hair and eyes just like my husband and her older sisters. All my children look the exact same when they are born. Its like I had triplets, just born at different times.
I am just now starting to feel better 9 days later. I was soooooo sore down there. I also had a hard time peeing as it would burn. Eventually I just peed standing up and that worked till I healed more. I stopped using those witch hazel pads as they made it burn worse. I didn't tear but I think I got a something like a rug (tube?) burn when they pulled out the catheter. I also had very little energy and everyone kept telling me I looked pale. So I figured I needed some iron and have eaten only red meat for the past few days....suprisingly I think it worked becasue I feel better. I am also strictly breastfeeding, which makes me very thirsty and extremely HUNGRY. I want to eat everything in site...I feel like I am starving.
Cloe is a good baby. She freaked a little before my milk came in, but now she is fine. My daughters love her, they want to hold her all the time which is hard but we are all adjusting. So far so good, although I haven't left the house since I came home. I think we will go for a walk tomorrow. I could use some sun.
