I'm 23 years old and live on Camp Pendleton(CA) with my husband , our daughter Calli Mae, and our son Caden Houston. Im former Army Reserve, and my husband is an Active Duty Marine. My husband just deployed when our son was 2 weeks old. We just found out that instead of being gone for 6 months he will be extended for 10. Anyone who has gone through a deployment with children I will gladly take any advice! :o)

I have a question for you guys. My cousin just told me she is 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant, due on July 27, 2010. Her HCG Blood results were 112, the blood test was taken even before she missed her period, her docs said it was low, and today she will find out what her 2nd test numbers came out as. Her doc told her it should have been anywhere between 5 to 456. Does 112 sound low to you guys even if it was taken before she even was due for her AF? Thanks, Dana

Ladies thank you all for your comments, info and reassurance about the heart palpitations. I had no idea how common it is during pregnancy. It is nice to know I am not alone and my heart isn't going to jump out of my chest! It sure feels like it at times. I will be sure to take my iron as many of you said this is a sign of being low on iron, which I was at my last apt. I will also mention it to the doctor at my next visit but feel so much better knowing it is pretty common and will go away soon! Again....thank you!

Another strange symptom-The last couple days I have felt my heartbeat really fast, usually while I am laying in bed or sitting on the sofa. It is really fast, makes me short of breath, kinda dizzy and just overall a weird feeling. It last about 5 seconds and may repeat 10 seconds later or an hour later. It is very inconsistent. I know the heart works harder during pregnancy b/c of the increase blood flow, but has anyone else experienced this? It is really a strange feeling!

Well I think I have everything I need-My bags for the hospital, Carseat, Kids are packed and ready to go to grammy's tomorrow morning... If I forget anything I'm going to be pissed! haha I've been packed since the beginning of October-but I've checked and re-checked my bags so many times I shouldn't have forgotten anything!

I can't wait-I will be in the hospital this time tomorrow morning! I'm not scared anymore so far so that's good. I'm just hoping for a good night's sleep and a wonderful birth experience!
Good luck to those who are being induced tomorrow as well and those who go into labor! Also to the ladies that aren't very far behind!
I will be updating on my facebook all day tomorrow and probably every couple of hours on here!

so i am having mini panic attacks every once in a while when i think about being induced on monday morning! I don't know why I'm worrying, it's not like i haven't done this twice already! Maybe it's because it's been 6 years since my last time-idk!
I haven't been concerned at all this whole time and now i freak out here and there for a few min and i'm fine. is anyone else like this or were you like this before?
I know everything is going to go just fine and i'm not worried about that-i just can't put my finger on what the problem is!

I just got back form my apt. I didn't see the doctor I see the Nurse Practitioner again...one day it would be nice to meet my doctor!!! Good news is she checked my cervix and it is closed and thick, so I am very thankful for that. But still very disappointed with the situation b/c she then told me she didn't feel it necessary to do an ultrasound since my cervix is closed. I honestly do not know if she is simply uneducated about incompetence cervix and how it actually starts from the inside of the cervix rather than the outside, or if she was just busy and didn't want to take the time or if she is just plain careless?! I don't know but it is disturbing! On one hand I feel good knowing I am not dilated at all and my cervix is nice and closed but on the other hand it doesn't give me much reassurance everything is okay inside. I go back in 2 weeks at my regular apt and if I am having any issues I will address them then if not sooner. Thanks for everyone's concern, for now....all seems well!

Congrats to my ladies that have had their babies in the last few days!!!!!

i just found out yesterday (finally) that i am being induced on monday morning-i could go before that, but monday for sure! i am dialated 2 1/2-3 cm and by monday who knows i could be at 5 already! crazy! can't wait-i will have my computer w/ me the whole time at the hospital and i will be keeping everyone updated as much as possible while we are there!

Hello ladies
As for the cervix pressure and cramping I am having, I woke up this morning and it is back. I called the nurse line again and talked to the front desk and she informed me that they have 48 hrs to contact you, I told her I am high risk for an incompetence cervix and was a bit concerned, she then seemed to take me more seriously and told me she would have them call me back. So now I am waiting, still having the pressure and cramping. Just staying off my feet as much as possible. ~*~ On with the GREAT news....I felt baby today stronger than ever before and could actually see baby from the outside! OMG!!!! It was so neat. I had a big cup of coffee this morning (it helps with constipation every few days) and about an hour later I felt baby, it wasn't like before a little popcorn or butterflies, this time it felt like the baby was doing a summersault! lol I then looked down at my tummy and seen little ripples for just a few seconds. It was so neat. I guess that coffee got baby moving!
