Hello all...

This is my first baby and my hubby and I are happy. We have been trying for a year now and we were finally blessed with the opportunity to be parents.

I am praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy so in September I will be the proud parent of a healthy happy baby. :-)

6/10/2008: I have gained a total of 24lbs. I thought I was worse off than that but I wasnt. I am on track and doing well. Baby's heartbeat was 140-150 which is normal. Feeling a little "frustrated" but other than that, I am ok. Pray for me ladies!!!! I am going to need it. It was 101 degrees today and it is nowhere near cooling off. Texas heat is a B*tch!!!

5/13/2008: IT'S A BOY!!!!! :-)

5/12/2008 Tomorrow is the day....boy or girl? :-)

5/7/2008: School started for me Monday. I am really trying to hang in there to complete it before the baby arrives. This is harder to do since I dont have the energy I had during my undergrad studies. This MBA will be hard earned!!! Wish me luck guys!!! :-)

4/29/2008: Dr. changed my appt to the 13th so I will find out then. :-( I dont want to wait

4/1/2008: I find out what I am having on May 5th!!!I cant wait...

I'm actually on my way to Arlington! I move there to be with daddy June 19th! I too tried to apply to UTA but the refused me :( Shortly after I found out I was pregnant...I guess God knew that I wouldn't be able to handle an MA AND being pregnant, so he made the choice for me and we are THRILLED! :) Congratulations to you on the baby boy! We are soooo hoping for a boy too, mainly because we can't agree on a girl name that starts with a T! LOL! Keep me posted on your progress! I'm only 11 weeks, so still early and still terrified almost daily; just hoping everything continues to progress and trying not to let all these miscarriage stories get to me! Ok, I've babbled enough! Stay in touch!

Yeah girl, sorry to here about the lonelyness your having between you and your man. I have learned one thing, if you don't tell a guy how you are feeling, then he won't know. I know how your feeling my man would leave me in the evening and go out and hang with his friends all the time, until i told him how i felt. I just told him i wanted to spend more time with him, and made some simply suggestions on what we could do to spend more time. It really has worked. He only hangs out with his freinds 2-3 times a week instead of everynight. Communtication is key in a realationship. What would also help me feel better is if i spent some time with my family when he was doing his own thing. I don't have much family, but maybe you can lean on your family too when you get lonely. Sometimes i would sit at home and cry cause i was sad and feeling so alone, so i know how it is. What helped me clear my mind of being sad was i would go to my babies room and just think about how happy i will be when my baby comes. You will never be lonely once your baby comes, you will always have someone to hang out with....lol good luck and hope you feeling better soon!

For some reason, guys are just so much different than girls. It seems to me that girls think too much and guys don't think enough. So to him, he is just playing games and stuff because those are fun. Nothing more. Not because he doesn't love you or anything, just because he is a boy and boys don't think the same as girls. Don't let it get to you too much. Just tell him you want to hang out with him and give him a little ego boost by telling him how awesome he is. Tell him you want to be with him because he is so funny/sweet/manly or something that will make him feel good. I know that may not be what you want to do, but I think it will help.You can't make him not act like a guy...

i went though a stage a bit like this with my partner and talking never seemed to work so i wrote him a letter and told him all my feelings, i then left the letter where i new he would find it while i was at work. it worked wonders as he read everything without been able to answer back to me and he had time for it all to sink in before i came home from work and when i did he was reallt understanding and things just turned round after that. all i can say is its worth a try. what you got to loose? xxx

hey i know how you feel, im due on my granddads birthday/ anniversary of his death, he died after we had all be out for his birthday meal 17yrs ago on the 21st sept, i kinda hoped they had my dates wrong as i alway get really down towards that date as i was real close to him, all the best im trying to think of it as a blessing that hes sent me xxxxx

Hey! Thanks! I will try that out. I have dictation to do so I have to use the foot control for that, but I might actually be able to put that foot control on top of a small box. I hope it helps because this really sucks! When I tell people my butt hurts I get the weirdest looks!

Not a problem at all! Like I said, Everyones situation is differnt! Unless your smoking smoke after smoke after smoke i seriously dont see a problem with it because in MY experiance I have not had ANY problems with any of my pregnancies due to smoking. You ever notice that women who are past smokers are alot harsher on women who smoke?

If I were you i would say something to the boss about people being sick at work... and tell him or her that its alot more serious if you get sick then if they are sick, maybe the boss could send out a memo about staying home when you are sick... Best of luck!

Yeah, I know what you mean... I feel the same way at times, like it is my first and I want the best and most of everything because I am SPECIAL! :)
I am not big on holidays because of how much the world commercializes things and makes it about spending all your money for one day. I would much rather live DEBT free... that would be the perfect gift for me. But I do look forward to my son coming home from school with interesting and unique creations that he made for me and will truly treasure those!
As for my DH... so long as he takes me on a vacation where my life is not about being a working woman, devoted wife and loving mother... I will be happy! A spa day with pampering is nice too! LOL.

Hey girl, I just read your post. I think a lot of people get confused because they don't know what to classify us as (like we are growing animals in our stomachs or not) because when I was in church (yes, of all places) a lady turns to greet me and goes, "Well you aren't a mom yet.." and I smile and asked,"Is that so?"
I didn't get any flowers, a card, nothing like that... but I did get a t-shirt with a bee and flowers on it saying, "A Mothers Love is Meant to Bee" because my family calls me "B" for short.
People did say happy mothers day, even my MIL... so don't sweat it. Just sometimes it takes folks a little longer to catch up, even husbands!!

I am one of the last siblings to have one too... my brother and younger sister both beat me... I have a younger brother but I dont think he is even thinking about a family for himself (college boy)!! :)
So yes, I too am very excited and truly enjoy the expierence. Except when I get up 5 times in the night to pee... that kinda sucks.

You find out the sec on the 13th of May right? Any preference? I wish I had twins (a boy/girl set) so I could get it done in one shot! :) But a little boy is cool enough!

i am going to have some of my aunts with me during the labor part, but during the actual delivery i want just my husband. so, maybe you can do something like that, so everyone is involved, and you also get what you want. :) good luck!!

depends on the hospital! i've used 3 different hospitals for the birth of my babies and they all had different rules about how many people you can take with you,first hospital only let your husband/partner/birth partner in with you,another let 'family members' in and the last hospital was quite relaxed about how many pople as long as they didnt get in the way : ) a friend of mine had a home birth so that EVERYONE could be there but thats not my style!
