My husband and I are very excited to be expecting our second child. We have a son, Devin, who is 5 years old. He just started Kindergarten so it has been an adjustment! We have been married for 3 years. Anything else you want to know...just ask! I'm looking forward to meeting other moms and women who are pregnant!

Tuesday, 22 July I started having panic attacks a year ago. I sought help from my primary care doc, from my ecclesiastical leaders, as well as counseling. I started on Celexa last august and have stayed on it since. I took 3 months of counseling as well. The combination of meds and counseling really helped me. FYI- sometimes panic attacks are situational and sometimes they are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain (possibly inherited). In my case I have a deep family history of anxiety and depression. And while I can certainly point to a stressful event that caused my first panic attack, the attacks didn't go away easily. I believe that I inherited the chemical imbalance and I'm not sure how long I plan to be on meds... maybe my entire life. But that's OK, I'd rather be a normal peaceful person on meds that to be the irritable, anxious person without meds. I have seen what happens to family members when they are off meds, and I don't want that to happen to me. So I say to you get help... from any good source you can! Keep your husband in the loop too. Let him know that he can help too. When I feel anxious my husband scratches my back to help me relax. It's also recommended to get out of the house and walk or exercise. I go out with my friends and walk or just chat at their houses while our kids play and that helps. And because of that I found a close friend with the same problem and we help each other out. I hope this helps, beat of luck, and keep me posted. Sunny1 -

She is also starting to pull herself up (did it only twice so far, but I couldn't be more proud!) =))) I am loving every moment with her. She loves to be outside, play with her toys, sing out loud =), crawl, touch everything and anything in her reach! She is such a fun girl and I am so proud of her. =)) Hope all of mommies and babies are doing GREAT!

Monday, 7 July i have had anxiety attacks for many years im not on anything because i am pregnant and i dont believe in taking medications during pregnancy, also i have tried for years to controll it without medications thinking that it was a mind over matter thing but once i figyered out how to controll it another thing would trigger it and i would be back at the start. i dont know what to suggest to help you since i have never been on medications and i dont know how sever yours is compared but if i were you i would seek professional help, talk to you doctor. its a horriable thing to live with especially while being a mom. i hope it works out for you. good luck. paxtynmom -
