Birth Story -October 4,2007

Well it started on Tuesday with slight contractions that were irregular. so i thought nah it`s not going to happen this time either. well they got closer together and regular are stronger, so i paid attention to them and figured i`d wait to go in until i couldn`t handle it anymore. well that wasn`t until thursday at 1 am. so went to triage and yup i was in labour and was already 4cm. so into labour room i went. I managed to handle it for quite a while, then when i was about 5cm, they figured it was going to slow and the doctor broke my water. well things started to pick up and i got an epidural.well after only a couple of hour the epidural wore off and wasn`t working at all and they couldn`t figure out why. And to top it off they had to give me some pitocin, my body decided it didn`t want to go past 6cm and stayed there for a long time. So with the inducing and my natural labour, i wasn`t getting a break inbetween contractions, and they were horrible.couldn`t breath,etc... hell! scary thing happened next the babies heart rate dropped down to 52 and i was going in and out. they were ready to do an emergency c-section. Thankgod they cut the pitocin off and things returned to normal, and when they checked me i was 9.5 cm. Still in horrible pain with no break. It took about 30 minutes and i felt like i had to push, and was told not too. Ha like that was going to happen how do you stop ur body from pushing. Well i was 10cm, and the pushing did start. 45 minutes later he was out! The doctor was shocked at how fast my pushed him out, since this was my first baby. The cord was around his neck so he was blue, and his breathing was little fast which he had to go to the nursery for a few hours after until it was back to normal. So he`s here weighing 7 pounds 10 ounzes and 21.5 inches long. I couldn`t possibly be more in love with him!

2 week update -Oct 18,2007

Well Bryan had his 2 week doctors appointment. He's gained 1lb 3 oz he now weight 8 lbs 13 oz. He has a very healthy appetite. and 22.4 inches long. He was so good at the doctors didn't even cry. He just managed to poop on him though, which of course i started laughing. He's still not on any schedule but wakes up twice a night to feed, get changed and burped. which so far has gone well. lets only hope it stays that way.my luck doubt it. He is such a good baby, and everyone can't seem to get enough of him!

3 week update -Oct 25,2007

Well my poor little boy officially had the a cold and the flu. It was so heart breaking, because like his daddy he's a little suck when he's sick. It's cute! He's continuing to eat very well, i don't know what he weighs now but my guess is just over 9 lbs. he's outgrown his newborn clothes already. his night sleeping has gotten a little rocky, he's getting his nights and days mixed up, but i think that has a lot to do with him being sick and sleeping so much during the day. Probably my fault i hild him so much, and he loves that. Such a little cute suck!

4 week update - November 1, 2007

Bryan continues to eat like crazy, a good 6-7 oz every feeding. He is 100% on formula now, my breast milk just quit producing. My doctor has no idea why. If i'd guess i think bryan weighs about 10 lbs now. We can really feel the weight when holding him. He has decided that 3am is bedtime, so me and him have our days completely messed up at the moment. Hope it changes but guess we'll see how it goes. Anyone have any idea to switch the sleep cycle with babies, please let me know. He continues to be such a joy to everyone he's around. I'm more in love with him each and everyday!

5 week update - November 8, 2007

So Bryan started sleeping a lot better at night now. and he did start sleeping for a 6 hour stretch at once now, so that's so much better. He's eating alot still, going through a lot of formula. He had his pictures taken by a photographer today, he loves getting his picture taken. So hopefully if they aren't too much money and turn out ill get some of them and post them by the end of the month. There hasn't been too much of a change in his weight, or not that i've noticed but im with him all day every day. I'll keep everyone updated with him.

6-week update - November 15, 2007

Bryan continues to eat a lot and grow up. He's started laughing out loud, and smiling when anyone enters the room and comes into view. If i'd guess he's about 11 lbs now and getting longer each and every day. I love him to pieces!

7-week-update - November 22,2007

Bryan has started to become super loud now, squealing in delight, laughing etc... He still eats a lot, and is becoming a big boy.

8-week-update - November 29,2007

My little boy, wanting to grow up so fast. He's constantly moving, trying to go places. Not that he gets there lol. I think im going to have my hands full soon. He'll be crawling soon. He's roughly 12 lbs now and how long, no clue. He has his two month doctors appointment in a week, where he gets a needle. So we'll see how that goes.
