My profile

Hello all! I am currently pregnant with a baby girl. My technical due date is August 22nd but I have a C Section scheduled for around the 14th at 12:30. I lost my first baby two years ago at 33 weeks pregnant on July 21st 2006. Her name was Keira. My second and third pregnancies were miscarriages at 11 weeks and 4 weeks so this one is a blessing! Sometimes the twice weekly doctor appointments can be overwhelming but it is nice to have an ultrasound per week! All the testing for this pregnancy has been normal which gives me some peace of mind but I worry about the movements every day.

My husband, Chris, and I have two dogs and we've been married for almost seven years. I'm out of work on bed rest now but will be back to work around November. I currently work in finance. I LOVE power yoga, running, lifting weights. Pretty much anything physical. I was devastated when I was told I could only walk or swim! But now that I'm down to the last few weeks I'm just looking forward to getting back on weight watchers and getting back into working out!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Im still here.. no baby yet I will find out Monday if I will be induced or not... are you excited 1 more day right... I have been thinking about labor pains all day... : )

barron06 - Friday, 8 August
My DR is going to induce me but if my body doesn't react to the induction he is gna go in and do a c-section I told him I didn't care as long as i have my baby... so has the baby started to move around... I always go to L&D even if I am by myself... I have been there so many times, and to the office... so the first time they saw something wrong and didn't take the baby? that is crazy...

I feel the same way when people ask me I pause and say yes this is my second and I feel bad about not mentioning John but at times I will say well we have a son but unfortunately he passed... I don't tell either because I don't want to talk about it to others it's still so fresh with me... I didn't go to baby showers but my daughter is old enough to go with my mom and she would just pick a gift of the registry and go on behalf of me.. so many people would ask why aren't you going im like HELLO I just lost my son I don't think some understand what you go through... Ur time is getting so close do you get more worried and anxious as the time comes near?

They tell you not to eat or drink from midnight on becuause if you have food in your system 6 or less hours before your surgery it can cause complications. I think it has to do with your lungs. I can't remember. I had my c-section a week earlier than it was scheduled becuase I began to dialate and contract. I ate breakfast that AM and she was born at 2:15 PM. It wasn't that big of a concern. Ask your doctor if you are still concerned. They might let you have ice chips!

Yes I was 33 weeks and we don't know what happened I was a lil sick at the time but the DR's said nothing came up in the report.. I had the nursery set up and everything I would look at it everyday and imagine myself laying my baby there and then when we lost him it was devistating.. my husband had people go over and clear everything out before I got home from the Hospital.. I still have a few items of his.. this time around we didn't have a shower or get a nursery ready we will get everything once the baby is here.. We couldn't bare to go thru that again but we have faith and leaving it in Gods hands to get us thru this... So what are you having a Girl?

I can't believe they are risking it either, w/ them saying your fluid is low and the baby's heart rate is low, that's not good. You'd think they would at least want you in the hospital monitoring you. I don't get that one. I knew someone once who had a "leak" in their bag of waters somewhere and she was slowing losing amniotic fluid, and they kept her in the hospital for weeks monitoring her. Anyways, good to know you're movin up w/ me! Good luck w/ everything, I hope they figure it out! :)

you asked a question regarding eating or drinking anything the night before the big day and I think it is due to the anasthesia that they administer....I think if you eat or drink it will cause you to vomit and get you really sick....Let me know if I'm right and Good Luck.....

Finally done work, thank God! How are you feeling?? The pressure on my cervix is a cramping...feels like the friggin speculum that they put in you at the gyn office! Sometimes I just have to stop what I'm doing and sit down cause it's too painful to keep walking! .....my next appointment is tuesday morning. Hopefully they will check me out ...bc the last 2 appointments they just checked the baby's heartbeat and said 'yup he's still breach' I'm over it! Tell me something good! Lol.....and yeah I lost the last pregnancy around 7~8 weeks. Thank God everything is ok this time around....!!! ;)
