My profile

My name is Dianna Im 19 and about to be single mom. i will be 19 by the time my baby boy is here. Im also currently a junior in college about to finish my nursing program. Im very excited to be a mom even though this was completly unexpected.

How`s my pregnancy doing?

How`s my pregnancy doing?

My (teen) Pregnancy

I had just turned eighteen and making plans to continue college, dreaming about how much money I would make by the end of my nursing program, already planning the next 20 years out. But in my plans I never had a baby in mind or struggles of being a single mom. January came and went and one day to my surprise I found out I would soon be a mom. “My life is over” I thought to myself, “No one will want me with a baby”. Yes, friends who I thought were my friends turned out not to be, but my relationship with my parents who I thought would never support me, are now the biggest supporters in my life and my best friends. To most eighteen year olds being pregnant would be a nightmare in life; to me it’s an unexpected blessing. I learned to grow up and put someone else first, I learned to love unconditionally and to be thankful to have such wonderful parents of which I hope to be like in a matter of weeks. Being a single mom wont be easy but I know that even though I wish I could take that one day back, I would rather not, because I cant imagine myself without my soon to be son, without growing up and finally seeing life through two innocent eyes. My life is not over, my life has just begun but not for me to live it, but to live for my son, to be the best mom I can be, the best role model, his greatest hero. And Jeremiah James, I know you’re listening inside there and I want you to know even though we haven’t met, I love you more than you will ever imagine. I promise to be your best friend, to love and protect you more than anyone ever will.

I love you and always will.

This week has been the craziest of my life....Monday I found out I was pregnant, Sydney has been a handfull and then there was yesterday. I had an apt. with my doctor to confirm my pregnancy. One day a week she works in a sonography clinic doing consults with pregnant women, so she told me to go on in this friday which just so happened to be her "clinic" day. I got an ultrasound which was exciting, my dr. said she would rather have the dating via ultrasound that by my LMP because they are still quite irregular as a result of breastfeeding. So, I had the ultrasound and to my horror, no pregnancy was dectected. My dr said it could be one of three things, 1- I have had an early loss 2- Its too early to show up no an ultrasound or 3- its a tubular pregnancy. I had blood work done after the ultrasound and I have to go in for more blood more this thursday and another ultrasoiund this upcoming friday. My Dr. will look at my HCG levels are increasing as they should and if I have not had an early loss we will try to find the little bean on the ultrasound again! Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies! Ill update you next friday.

Hey girlys, quick question.
Could anyone know what's going on with my stomach?
I posted more detail in my blog but generalizing it my stomach feels hard. I thought by now it would've subsided but for the past month or so my stomach has felt hard, like skin is normal but underneath is all tough when i push on it. I don't usually push on it that often but every once in a while i'll look in the mirror && my stomach looks outwards more so i'll push on it to see if i can suck it in && i can't, it hurts to. I've only been gently pushing on the top part of my stomach, but the other day i pushed a little under my belly button to see if it was soft as usual there or hard like the rest of my tummy. Well not only was it harder but it was bulging... There's a distinct bulge right in the middle of my abdomen under my belly button. So i'm completely at a loss here, can someone tell me what's going on?

Hey Ladies!!! Sorry I havent been on in a while....life has been so hectic, wedding planning and getting everything together for our big move on april 1st, not to mention trying to content with my 7 month old....Boy'o'boy she is such a handfull.....Oh! And I have an update, Sydney has started saying Dada, at first she said indiscriminately but now she actually knows who dada is and she calls him by that name...Its awesome! Iwas hoping momma would have been her first word but Mike can have this one. He was just too thrilled she said dada first and I wish y'all could see the look on his face when she calls him dada...its too sweet! Anyways, hope all is well with you all.....Labour dust to those waiting on their little ones to arrive, baby dust to those of you trying to conceive and sanity dust to those of you having to care for and keep up with little ones! hahaha! xoxo

Okay ladies, so this morning I was about to throw out the expired pregnancy test that I had. And my hunny was like I dare you to take one and I was like no, for what. I have absolutely no symptoms. For those of you who don't know, we're not actively trying, just doing the do and praying it happens for us soon. He basically told me I was just scared, so I humored him and took one of the good test. I had horrible middle pains on the 16 and 17 so I assume I ovulated around then, which would make me about 12 dpo today. Well there was a faint, faint, faint line on the test. So faint that I think my eyes are playing tricks on me! When he looked at it he was like oh okay its negative and I didn't tell him that I could see the faint line because I don't want to get either of our hopes up until I'm absolutely sure. And besides, it should be a dark line by now, right? Before I took the test I was not even thinking about it but now its all i can think about! Uh! I was so better off when I didn't know anything.

Hey ladies, goshhh, how long can babies kick for? It feels like my little man hasn't stopped kicking me for half an hour!! I keep telling him to shush in there while i eat, because it feels so weird getting kicked & eating at the same time aha.

23 weeks today, time is flying by! I'm really getting scared for the birth now though. I'm getting the epidural but i'm scared of getting that, because you can't feel your legs or something can you once you've had it? My mum keeps telling me to not worry, but i just can't help it!

I hope your all well mamma's & mamma's to be. :)

Love Kelly & Leo xx

Hey ladies. :) Just thought i'd tell you all that my little man has finally let someone (apart from me) feel him kicking outside the womb! :) He was kicking away for about 10 minutes so i told my mum to hurry up and put her hand on my tummy, and she did.. and there he was kicking away haha! :D I'm soo pleased, i've only been wanting this to happen for about a month or soo now. :P

Anyone know when i should start buying some of the essentials, like pram, crib, nappies etc.?

Thanks ladies, hope your all well xx

Hey ladies. I hope your all well. :)
I was at the hospital this morning. Thought i had a tear in my amniotic sac as i was leaking fluid and i didn't know what it was. (TMI) When i got to the hospital i was giving an internal(My first one, i was petrified, lol!) and the nurse told me i may have caught thrush, and that's all the different stuff i'm 'leaking.' So i have to phone the hospital up on Wednesday to see if i do indeed have thursh or just alot of discharge. Anyone else had thrush in pregnancy? I know the nurse i saw said it was common. So i'm pleased to know i'm not the only one! :) xx
