Tuesday, 6 May Don't worry about the measurements and if the DR seems concerned they will do an ultrasound. Could be you are having a small baby. They call average 7 to 7.5 lbs so that is probably how the measurements are based. I had a friend that had a baby girl last year and she was perfectly healthy and on time and weighing in at just above 5 lbs. With my first son, I measured small and the Dr kept telling me to be prepared to be taken to the hospital that has the NICU department and my son was born 11 days early at 7 lbs 1 oz. So honestly, I think the measurements just let them know if it is WAY off to do an ultrasound and get more accurate measurements. Also, this pregnancy, I learned that the Drs don't even consider a week either way a big deal. I know we do because we are so excited to see our little ones so I get frustrated with them sometimes! pixiegurl2 -
Tuesday, 6 May My OB told me I was measuring at 25-26 weeks last Wednesday. I was pretty concerned myself. I had an u/s today and the baby measured at 30w 3d so I feel much better. He is laying sideways which is why I measured small at my ob's...I would not worry too much about a weeks difference. I've read that + or - 2weeks is ok. By my calculations I have been a week behind from the get go...until today. Now I am right on target! (based on LMP) NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
