uuTHE BOYS ARE HERE!uu

Yay! I can't wait until March gets here. In August, I found out that I was 5 weeks pregnant. It was completely unexpected! I'm thrilled now but, was really scared on how my family would take it, being that I am not married. They were upset with me but are now just as thrilled as I am. When I found out I was pregnant, I secretly...okay, not so secretly wanted a boy!! After going to see my OB/GYN for a few times, he scheduled my first ultrasound for 14 weeks. I was thrilled to get an early peek at my baby, but surprise, surprise....the sonographer found TWO babies. I thought she was joking with me b/c when I had heard the heartbeat at 10 and 12 weeks, only one heartbeat was found (but once they found a heartbeat, they didn't look for another one). My co-workers and friends joked that I was going to have twins, but everyone gets that....No one expects to be the lucky one!! My sonographer was even able to tell that they were boys @ 14 weeks, but told me to wait until the next u/s before I started buying stuff for them, just to be sure. She was also able to tell me that they are fraternal. I can't wait to see if they are going to look alike or completely different. Ever since 14 weeks, I got an ultrasound every 2 weeks, and starting after I turned 22 weeks, I get ultrasounds weekly!! I feel so lucky b/c I see most don't get to do this! I feel spoiled, and I love it!! They are definitely boys!! I love them so much already. My babies biological father left us.... which really stinks (what a prick!?! long story) but, recently I have been dating someone who is completely wonderful. He takes care of me and I definitely think he is a God send. I am determined to be a good mommy and I have a wonderful mother that can't wait to help and wants to be called "Nana." I don't know what I would do with out her and my dad who wants to be called "Papa." These will be my first babies! If you have ANY tips or, if you find any neat web-site for twin stuff feel free to let me know!! :0) I am really enjoying my pregnancy. I worked full-time and was a full time student until I got to be 20 weeks. My doc. made me go on maternity leave, due to the fact that having twins is a "high-risk" pregnancy. I had some pretty bad back pains but, now they are all gone since I have quit work! Other than that, I haven't had any complications! Now that classes are over, I'm just relaxing and getting ready for the boys. I stay busy doing this n' that. I don't know how I do it but, I rarely get bored. I have a miniature dachshund, named Checkers (because she is black and red! :0)), that keeps me company all day. She's like another child, seriously. I think she will do fine around the babies. She's been around a few and she loves them! She doesn't know what to think of them, but lets babies hit and yell crazy babbles at her. I've pretty much finished the nursery. I'm just busy letting my little buns of joy bake in my oven! Good luck to all you other moms and moms-to-be! Pregnancy is a miraculous thing! God Bless!

One plus one is two
and that's the both of you.

Twice as much to love
two blessings from above.

Two precious lives to mold
Two little hands to safely hold.

God touched my heart
so deep inside,
my special blessing
multiplied!!

To The Mother of Twins

A meeting convened one day
in Heavens sacred hall.
The Ideal mother must be found
for twins so sweet and small.

She must be patient, first of all,
And kind and calm and wise.
And capable of chasing tears
away from little eyes.

She'd have to put her children first
And be so very smart
Have dedication and resolve,
A sweet and loving heart.

They all
agreed you were the best
No other mom would do.
Yes, Heaven found the perfect one
And sent those twins to you.

LAST DAY OF WEEK 27 (WEDNESDAY: JANUARY 2, 2008)

Okay, so I have decided to start a journal!! :0) I have been thinking about it for a while & finally I have decided to jump on the bandwagon. Tomorrow I go for my 28 week appointment and ultrasound, so I will update you tomorrow on how the babies are doing/growing. Today was a pretty eventful day. I finally ironed the babies bedding, so it looks WoNdErFuL!! I washed their little sheets and mattress protectors. I also washed all of their recieving blankets and hooded towels in Dreft today. I just love the smell of all their stuff. It smells like a baby :0) I also got a glider, car seat, and swing from my cousin. I am very lucky to have my cousin and my best friend who also gave me her car seat and swing. The car seats don't match but, as always, beggers can't be choosers! :0) And on the bright side it is all in excellent condition! And, I didn't have to pay for them! The cribs & matresses were expensive as it is! So many people want twins but, they forget how much extra there is to buy/get and do. Hope everyone had a great new year! I know mine was quite boring but, it's all worth it! 9 or less weeks to go!

WEEK 28 (THURSDAY: JANUARY 3, 2008)

I went to the doctor today! Every appointment starts off with charting my weight and an ultrasound. I gained 3 pounds. So that puts me at the grand total of 21 pounds. Today I brought my cousin with me. She wants to be a sonographer, so I thought she might like to see what all they can do, plus it gets lonely going by myself every week. She loved it! My cervix still hasn't thinned any! Wahoo! It's still 4.1! After she measured my cervix, we just looked at the babies and got their heartbeats. Aiden's heartbeat was 137 and Alex's was 142. They look great! Really packed up in there but, great. In fact, they are both breech (butt first). They are never head down! Oh well, I keep thinking...there's plenty of time until they are ready to come out. We are going to try to do 3D/4D next time if the babies cooperate. She said it may take her a few appointments to get some really good pictures. So maybe next week I can see their faces! But guess what?? I found out something really neat!! My sonographer said, "Do you see that?" I said, "uh-huh." She said, "Do you know what that is?" I said, "No??". She said..."That's hair!". You could see Aiden's (Twin A) hair just floating all around his little head! I wish I knew how to upload my DVD and I would show you guys...It's the weirdest/coolest thing. I was thinking the whole time I was going to have some little bald babies and whaddaya know!! We couldn't see any on Alex's...He'll probably be bald when he's born. Just like his momma was! After the ultrasound, a nurse took my blood pressure...still a little low like normal (it's genetic). And my pee was good so, the head nurse told me that I could just come back next week like usual b/c my doctor was delivering a baby at the hospital so, I got to leave early! Which suits me just fine b/c all he does is ask how I'm feeling and all the usual. Also, I got the results back from my Gestational Diabetes test. I scored a 126! Wahoo! The only other thing that happened today was pretty scary. Ya'll might have experienced it already but, it freaked me out! If you haven't already...lemme tell you about it! I was lying on my back getting my cervix measured, everything going just fine. Then, she began to look at the babies...I started to feel very nauseous and light-headed. I thought it would pass but, the room started to go black. I said, "I know you are going to think I'm crazy but, I need to sit up. I feel really light-headed." She said, "No problem," and explained to me that I had been laying on my vena cava (my main arteries) and that's what caused me to almost pass out. She says it happens in her office at least once daily. So, she had me lean a little on my side, and sure enough, it didn't come back. So ladies, know that what the books say is true! And that we do sleep on our sides for a very good reason! I hope this doesn't happen to you, but if it does...sit up and take some deep breaths immediately! Hopefully next time we will measure the babies so that I can know how much they weigh! Normally we do it every 4 weeks but, today we didn't :0( It's been 4 weeks so I'm sure next time I will have an update on their weight. Well that's it...have a good rest of the week!

WEEK 28 (TUESDAY: JANUARY 8, 2008)

I figured out how to upload video! Well here's the deal...my ultrasound was a lot longer than this but, I cut out the part where you could see Aiden's hair. It's on the back of his head but, on the video, it will be on your right...I know a lot of you wanted to see it! Enjoy!

WEEK 29 (THURSDAY: JANUARY 10, 2008)

Today I have reached week 29! Wahoo. Music to my pregnant ears :0) 8 more weeks until I see my little boys, well that's my goal anyway...to make it to 37 weeks. I'm not eating more than normal but, I gained 4 pounds last week. Woah. I guess I am just catching up with everyone else. That puts me at a total weight gain of 25 pounds, and I found out how much the boys weigh this week!! Wahoo! They both weigh 2 pounds and 10 oz. They have been the same weight every time we weigh them! This makes me feel like I'm being a good momma, even though I have no control over all that. We tried to look at them in 3D but, Aiden was facing my back and the only pic of Alex we got was with 2 legs, 1 arm, and part of his umbilical cord covering his head...so all you could see was his cute little nose. We are going to try again each week, hopefully we'll get one good picture of each. My sonographer was training a girl today, so it was different. It was okay though, she was really sweet. Also, I got light-headed again. From now on, I have to lay on my side. My sonographer said that they are just getting too heavy, and next time not to even try to lay on my back. My doctor gave me a perscription today for folic acid, because I have a methylenetetrahydrofolate (MTHFR) gene mutation. Okay, you're thinking...what in the world is that??? Basically only 10% of the North American population have this but, lucky me... When I first found out I was pregnant, I was really freaked out because, what my gene mutation means is: my blood can clot a lot quicker than normal people and, it can cause neural tube deffects in my offspring. But, my doc had the homocysteine level checked in my blood (when I first went to see him), and it came back perfectly normal. Next week, I have to get those levels checked again. If they are not normal, blood thinners are an option. Pray everything goes just fine again for me. I really think that everything will...I just know a little prayer could help :0) This gene mutation wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have another gene mutation. Okay...now you are thinking...omg, is this girl okay? First off, I am just fine! I promise this is the last of my gene mutations, lol. It's called Factor V leiden. Only 5% of caucasian North American's have this mutation...this also means that my blood clots a lot easier than most. Although I am at a very low risk for blood clots. I (and others who have these mutations) am the reason that the birth control commercials say, "may cause blood clots, etc...". That's how I found out I had the mutations, and another reason I got pregnant. I was taking birth control, and got some pretty awful chest pains. If you are like me, you would not think that chest pains would come from birth control. It took me a while to figure it out, but I realized that on the days I didn't take my pill, I wouldn't get the pains as bad...finally, I stopped taking them and the pains went away. My family thought I was crazy but, when I went to the gyno, I told him about it and he thought it was probably just a coincidence, but had blood work done anyway. Sure enough, I have gene mutations! So, my advice to you is that if you ever have chest pains while taking the pill, tell your gyno! If I would have continued to take the pill, I could have died! Crazy, huh? Okay...I feel horrible for writing a book about my gene mutations...but, just maybe I could save someone from some pain and suffering if they read this...pretty much that was all that happened at my appointment...I hope everyone is doing well! Hang in there...we're almost there!!

WEEK 30 (THURSDAY: JANUARY 17, 2008)

Well, I've made it thus far complication free :0) I lost 1 pound, lol. Pregnancy weight just confuses me. Last week I gained 4. This week I lose 1?? And I eat the same?? Oh well, I'm letting nature take its course, so that puts me at a total weight gain of 24 pounds. My fundal height is right on track for where it should be with twins, and my cervical length is still over 4 and no funneling! Still no luck with the 3D U/S. I picked my pediatrician today. He was my pediatrician, lol. I really liked him and he was very good at what he did because, I used to be a severe asthmatic and he always took great care of me. I'm sure he will be good to the boys as well. Also, it came as no surprise, but the boys are still not head down. Aiden (Twin A) is breech and Alex (Twin B) is transverse. Yup, yup...my doctor said every week it's looking more and more like I'll be having a c-section but, not to be worried b/c it's just for the best. He said that if they were both head down he'd still be glad to deliver them vaginally, but the boys have never been both head down since my first U/S (14 weeks). I know there's still time but, I'm definitely not getting my hopes up. I signed up for a childbirth class anyway. There were 2 options to choose from: one that lasts six weeks and one that was only one day! I picked the one day one! :0) It's "all day" but the lady told me that it starts at 8 and is done by 2:30 and you get a lunch break. I figure that I might as well be prepared. It's gonna be on Feb. 9th. Mom is going to go with me. I'm really excited about it! I just feel like time is starting to fly by now. Only 7 more weeks (or that's what I'm saying...I hope my babies are thinking the same thing, lol...I'm ready to see them). Well, I think that about sums it up. Hope everyone's doing okay! Oh and by the way, my blood work came back normal!! Thanks for the prayers...

WEEK 30 (MONDAY: JANUARY 21, 2008)

I'm so happy; that I just have to share why. Hopefully no one will judge me. So...I've been dating someone for the last couple of weeks and he's is such a southern gentleman. I mean...God sent this man to me. I'm so glad. I really thought I'd never find someone to take care of me and the boys, well not a good man anyway. He's got a great job, he's cute, and he's not selfish! He never lets me open a door, he takes me grocery shopping, he gives me back massages, he takes my dog to go potty for me (I have a hard time reaching my feet to put on my shoes, lol), he bought me flowers...I mean...I'm floored; He's one of those guys you read about or see on TV, but never meet...It took me a while to open up to him...I'm scared, you know...It's hard for me to trust men...especially since how my babies' biological father reacted to my pregnancy...It has taken me 3 weeks to even give him a kiss. I can't believe he hasn't given up on me already. I was perfectly happy when I was single but, it's nice to know that I just might have a good father figure for these boys...and even though I love my parents to death...It's nice to have someone to hang out with besides your parents every night...lol...Well...enough about me...just thought I'd share my happiness :0)Here's a pic of my man:

WEEK 31 (THURSDAY: JANUARY 24, 2008)

Hey yall! The appointment went well! I gained the pound I lost plus 1, lol. So now the grand total is 26 lbs. The babies still look good and have strong heartbeats. Aiden (Twin A) is breech still. He is just not giving up. His brother on the other hand has turned to be vertex. Their heads are close together and they seem to be looking at each other :0). We tried the 3D again...and again no luck. I saw Alex's hand though, lol...it was right in front of his face, very cute. Alex kept opening and closing his mouth on the 2D. 2 more weeks until they get measured again. My cervical lenth is a 3.9. Still good and long...That's about all...blood pressure was good; pee was good, lol...I'm boring...but, that's for the best...I don't want any sudden surprises! :0)

Okay...I got bored...here's what I'm thinking they are looking like in there...LOL!...

WEEK 32 (THURSDAY: JANUARY 31, 2008)

Well...I made it another week complication free! 5 more to go! I gained 3 pounds this week. That puts the total at 29 lbs! The boys are looking good and bigger! :0) They were still facing each other so, no 3D...again :0( Alex is now Oblique. Aiden is still breech. I'm telling yall, the boy's just not going to flip. He's comfortable just the way he is. My cervix measured 4.1 today, crazy huh? I know that there is a small margin of error, so it hasn't really grown, but I am thrilled that it is still so long...My cervix is tough! I'm proud of it, lol. I was excited to get to talk to my doctor for more than a few seconds today. We had a discussion about me having a c-section. It made me feel a lot more relaxed about the issue. He asked me how I felt about having a c-section. I told him I was sorta scared but, I know if it has to be done, I'm more than willing. He told me that he wasn't trying to promote a c-section, b/c he would like to do a vaginal if we could but, it's just starting to look more and more impossible. He calmed my fears a little by telling me some of the pros of having a c-section and told me not to worry. (Which is good b/c I read too much, and mostly about the negatives). Well, I'm going to childbirth class tomorrow anyway...It's free. I guess I might as well just in case...Oh yeah...my belly measured 36 cm, and we're going to measure the boys next week!! Yay...I can't wait to see if they are 4 pounders yet...I feel like it!

WEEK 32 (TUESDAY: FEBRUARY 5, 2008)

Okay, I changed my mind. I didn't go to the childbirthing class. I just didn't want to spend hours learning something that just wasn't gonna benefit me. I mean, I pretty much know I'm going to have a c-section. So, oh well. I can't wait until Sunday!! Yep, yep...BABY SHOWER!! Yay! I can't wait to see all my friends and family. I've been such a homebody for the past couple months. I think it will be a lot of fun. I'll let y'all know what all the boys get! Oh and guess what? I feel completely spoiled...my boyfriend bought me a phone for my valentine's day present! :0) How sweet can he be? My phone was looking pretty pitiful. Now I have one of those cute little slider phones. I really like it! Well...I'm gonna go! God bless...

WEEK 33 (THURSDAY: FEBRUARY 7, 2008)

Well, today was weigh-in day for the boys. Aiden, twin A, who is still breech by the way, weighs 3 lbs. 6 oz. & his brother Alex, twin B, who is vertex, weighs 3 lbs. 10 oz. These measurements kind of scared me b/c they are borderline ten percentile but, my doc said he thinks they are doing fine and that twins start to lag at this time anyway. My sonographer also said that the measurements could be off because, they are so squished in there, that the measurements are not as accurate. I gained 2 pounds; that means the grand total is now 31. We didn't measure my belly this time, which doesn't bother me. I hate climbing to get up on that table, lol. I also asked my doc about when does he schedule c-sections. He said he would schedule me one for 39 weeks if I made it that far. If I go into labor naturally before then, he'll gladly deliver them. Yall...I'm nervous, lol. I haven't really had any complications so far, so I'm thinking I might be the weird one to make it to 39 weeks. I hope not but, if they want to keep baking, that's fine by me. I don't mind really. Besides the stretch marks...I'm a tough cookie & I can deal with being uncomfortable if it means they will be healthy. We'll see! It's all in the Lord's hands, and he knows best! Gosh I can't wait until Sunday! Until next time :0) P.S. I use Palmers everyday but, these crazy stretch marks keep popping up everywhere, at least I don't itch a bit. I stay coated in lotion, lol.

WEEK 33 (TUESDAY: FEBRUARY 12, 2008)

I thought I'd write a quick update to say that my baby shower went pretty good. It was wonderful until the very end but, that's a whole different story that just makes me cry and I don't really want to talk about it...I got so many well needed presents! The only thing that I am going to have to take back is a couple of packages of huggies and one thing of bottles...all the outfits were so adorable and it was so great 2 c all my friends. There were about 30 people who came, so that was good! Here are a few picture:

WEEK 34 (FRIDAY: FEBRUARY 15, 2008)

Well, I hope everyone had a great Valentine's day!! I know I did! Yesterday's doctors appointment went well. My cervix has shortened to a 3.1, which my doctor says is very good. I'm happy that it is a little shorter. I really don't wanna go the full 39 weeks. I gained a pound. Grand total: 32 pounds. I can't believe these boys will hopefully be here in 3 weeks! Time is starting to fly by. I told my doc how concerned I was with the babies growth and, he said to calm my worries, we will measure them next week and he sent me for an NST. They did wonderful on the NST. I can't wait to weigh them again. Pray for 4 pounds! My doc said basically, twins grow slower now and that as long as they are growing some, then we are in good shape. We just don't want their weight gain to plateau. On the ultrasound, I got to see Aiden practicing his breathing! He was just moving his chest up and down so big and fast! I think he will be just fine! He's getting ready to meet his momma! Aiden is still breech. Alex is still vertex. No surprise. That was about all that happened at the doctor's office. My boyfriend met me for lunch after the appointment and he brought me a dozen roses later on...He took me out to eat for dinner and then we watched a movie. I had a really good day!

WEEK 35 (THURSDAY: FEBRUARY 21, 2008)

Well, I gained 2 more pounds. Grand total: 34 lbs. Looks like I'm gonna go a little past my target, but that's okay. These babies have got to keep growing. We weighed them today, because last time I told my doctor how concerned I was with their growth. Aiden (Twin A) is now 4lbs. and 3-4oz. and Alex (Twin B) is 5lbs. 2-6oz. This is good news. Aiden in the 12th percentile and Alex is in the 34th percentile. They are growing at the same rate as 2 weeks ago pretty much so, that's good.: they are still growing, but...since there is a pound difference between them, he wants to make sure Aiden is still doing alright in there. So, now I have to go for NSTs on Mondays and Thursdays and my appointments have changed from Thursdays to Mondays. He said that way if something is happening in the first part of the week, we can schedule a c-section. Also, he said right now he's not going to set a date for the c-section yet but, he's looking at 38 weeks! Wahoo...better than 39. So, I guess you know by all my talk of c-section that Aiden still hasn't flipped, still breech, and Alex is still vertex. This is gonna be their positions for now on probably. They just don't have the room to flip now. They were both practicing their breathing this morning! It's so crazy to think that those 2 little black and white pictures from the ultrasound are 2 little wonderful baby boys. I can't wait to meet them! :0) Take care mommies!! Until Monday...

END OF WEEK 35 (WEDNESDAY: FEBRUARY 27, 2008)

Sorry I didn't post an update on Monday. During my NST, I started to feel really nauseous. I thought perhaps it was from the way I was laying. I adjusted the bed about 5 times and nothing changed. As soon as I got home, the toilet became my best friend :0( It got lots of hugs :0( Turns out I got a severe stomach virus. It realllllly dehydrated me, and it caused a few BH and some minor cramping. My mom called labor and delivery for me, because It hurt to even talk. I've drank 2 whole things of Pedialyte and lots of water. Yesterday night I was finally able to hold down some chicken noodle. Today, I feel MUCH better. I was so scared Monday b/c after all my tummy problems, I didn't feel the babies moving at all for hours. The hospital said that was normal. I guess they were right b/c they are moving like crazy now. It just worried me! Anyway, I got swabbed for Strep B Monday morning at the doctor's. That was an experience. It didn't hurt a bit. It was just a BIG surprise when he stuck one of the swabs in my hiney...lol, TMI, I know. EW. My eyes got big. I looked at the nurse like WTH??? lol. The biophysical profile looked good, both boys passed. And I gained 3 pounds. How? I don't know...Grand total: 37 pounds. But, I bet I don't gain much at my next appointment b/c of that stupid stomach virus. The boys did well on their NST as well. Tomorrow I go back for another NST. Oh yeah, and the one of the receptionists at my doctor's office (my favorite one!) called me yesterday...and she said there was a lady...very nice and clean that had a double stroller. She asked her was anyone having twins...She told her that there was only one lady (me!!) and that she would ask me if I wanted the stroller. OF COURSE!! My parents picked it up from the office yesterday afternoon :0) Nana and Papa need a stroller too!! :0) It's a really nice one too! It looks like it was maybe used twice?? God is so good! God bless people with hearts like this ladies'...

WEEK 36 (THURSDAY: FEBRUARY 28, 2008)

Well, I boiled the bottles today and washed the new car seat cover and bouncy seat cover in Dreft. I'm feeling more ready! Tomorrow I'm putting the car seat bases in my car! I'm so anxious, especially since I just got back from my NST. They babies are doing great and apparently I'm having contractions that are 7 minutes apart! I don't even feel them. I mean, maybe I do, but it doesn't hurt if that's what they feel like, I don't know. There are 2 other twin mommies-2-be having NSTs here lately, that's what Labor and Delivery told me! Wow-ee! Those doctors better get ready!!Haha. What if we all pop at once?? LOL.

END OF WEEK 36 (MONDAY: MARCH 3, 2008)

The doctor's visit went well! I've been having some really bad swelling here lately. Now I've even got a little in my hands and face but, not much. My blood pressure is still great so, the doc is not worrying so much about pre-eclampsia. I'm still not on bed rest or anything. Everything seems to be smooth sailing. The boys both scored an 8 out of 8 on their biophysical profile and did great on their NST this morning. The big news is that my doc finally set a date to take the babies (if I don't go into labor beforehand). The big day is set for March 19th. I'll be 38 weeks and 6 days! Holey Moley!! Pray for me, lol.

WEEK 37 (THURSDAY: MARCH 6, 2008)

Well, the NST went great! Still no signs of labor...one day at a time, the stretch marks are taking over :0(

Free Image Hosting at allyoucanupload.com

END OF WEEK 37 (MONDAY: MARCH 10, 2008)

There is progress ladies! I am dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced! Yay, I feel more normal, lol. The doc said we aren't changing the c-section date even though there is a chance that I won't make it until then. I'm still not feeling any contractions. I've gained a pound. Grand total: 38 pounds. We also weighed the babies today. Breech Twin A (Aiden): 5lbs. 3oz. Vertex Twin B (Alex): 5lbs 13oz. They are small but, still growing at the same pace. They just don't have any room! So, I'm sittin at 11 pounds of baby! Gah! :0) They did good on their NST and got an 8 out of 8 on their biophysical profile too! It's just a matter of time...I'll keep you posted!

WEEK 38 (MONDAY: MARCH 13, 2008)

Well, the boys did well on the NST. I am officially 38 weeks pregnant with twins. Yep. I think I should be diagnosed with "super cervix." LOL. Maybe something will happen over the weekend? Still no contractions or Braxton Hicks...

YEAH RIGHT>>>>Next update: End of Week 38 (Monday: March 17, 2008) FINAL DOC VISIT & FINAL NST!!

uuTHE BOYS ARE HERE!uu

OKAY!!! I'm just stopping by to say my BEAUTIFUL boys have made it into the big world. I will get back to you all when I get a chance. On Saturday morning 12:15am...38 weeks 2 day pregnant...asleep in my bed...I woke-up thinking I just needed to pee yet again. NOPE. My water broke! I went to the potty and luckily my mother had decided to spend the night with me because I had been having some minor pain in my pubic bone all day and she just had this "motherly intuition." I called mom...."I think my water broke!!" She came running, took a look, and it was confirmed. I sat on the toilet, while mom gathered everything! She got my cell, I called Labor and Delivery, alarmed them that I was coming. We got up there...not to much pain, contractions every 10 minutes. Got to the hospital, my doc was not on call this weekend. There was a new doc. HE WAS AWESOME. It freaked me out that I was fixing to have twins delivered by some "new guy in town." But, no way...He came in and told me he had twins (B/G)! Awesome!!! To the labor part...

IT WAS HORRIBLE! CHILDBIRTH HURTS! AH. LOL. B/c there was only one doc on call I had to wait for an emergency c-section to be performed and then the OR to be cleaned...then I could have them. Needless to say I was in SEVERE pain by the time I had the c-section. These babies wanted out. I was having contractions 2 minutes apart when I got to the hospital. Then they went to 1 minute apart for an hour and a half!!! I felt the need to push, but Aiden was breech, so I couldn't or he could be injured. So I was screamin' like crazy, lol. Breathin only worked for a while yall. MAN...then the anesthesiologist (an-man) came in!! They wheeled me down the hall to the OR and made me strattle the table for my SPINAL (YAY!!!) I could hardly lean forward for anything. I was dilated to a 4 30 minutes prior so, I know I was a 5 or better. My belly was on the table, how in the world could I bend over more??? So, they physically pushed me and then in went the spinal. That was around 3:10. I had the babies (BOTH OF THEM IN THE SAME MINUTE!!!) at 3:21 am!!! 321, blast off!!! Those boys wanted OUT!! It was an awesome experience!!! THE BEST IN THE WORLD!! Aiden came out first weighing 5lbs. 5oz. and Alex second at 5lbs 11oz.!!! YAY!!! Both healthy as ever, perfect APGAR tests! In fact as soon as the nurse layed down Alex to clean him he started peeing!! I have lots of pics. I can't wait to show yall! By the way...My c-section recovery is going well. Today is a good day. Yesterday was HORRIBLE. The 3rd day is the worst in my opinion. We are just now able to get things on track. There are on a perfect schedule! They sleep like angels. Sometimes it's hard for them to eat the full 2oz. but now...they are pros! They have both gained at least 2oz. as of yesterday when we left the hospital, so I know they are doing good. I LOVE MY BOYS!! Oh yeah...YALL...they have GOT to be identical!!! We cannot them a part, except finally we figured one thing out...the very top part of the ridge of their ears is a little different. Crazy huh?? Tell me what you think in the pictures...They look a LOTTT like me, in fact, nothing like their biological father really. My boyfriend was there every step of the way. He stayed up 48 hours when I had them and he helped out all weekend with feeding, diapering, EVERYTHING. He stayed there and everything. He's so tired. I love him so much! And he loves these boys too! Good luck with your pregnancies ladies and CONGRATS! Having children is SUCH a blessing from God!!! :0)

UPDATE!! 8 DAYS OLD

Way too busy to write yall back, SO SORRY!! It is realllllly hard with two...That's all I can say. There is no way I could have done it by myself. I get 3 hours sleep a night, NO MORE. So much for the angels on the perfect schedule. They eat like every 2 hours now, and they eat 3oz. sometimes...somebody tell me this is normal, lol. They still look exactly alike! When they get older I'm gonna have them tested for being identicals. Every day I love them more and more...

UPDATE!! 3 WEEKS OLD

The boys are doing great!! At their 2 week old appointment they weighed 6lbs. 4oz. (Aiden) and 6lbs. 8oz. (Alex)! They measured the same in head circumfrence and they were both 19 inches long. I think Aiden is trying to catch up with ol' Alex! Things are getting a little easier. As you can see I got some time to get on here and give an update. Sometimes I get a break but, I just take a nap, lol. They are now eating 4oz. 3oz. just wasn't cutting it anymore. I can't believe that they will be a month old on next Tuesday, only 6 days away. They don't go back to the doctor until they are 2 months. I really like their pediatrician. She has 3 month old twin girls and has plenty of tips and her head nurse has twin boys. It's so nice for her to know what we are going through!

Little man & mister macho, lol...
