***********IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!**************
November 15, 2007......Yesterday we had our 20 week U/S and found out that we are definately having a boy.. absolutely no doubts :)... So far he weighs 14 oz. and the doctor said that at that rate he should weigh close to 9 pounds when he is born!! His HR was 150bmp and he seems to be doing great. My husband and I are so excited about having a boy.. mothers' intuition must be correct because from day 1 of this pregnancy I felt that the baby was going to be a boy. It never even crossed my mind that we could have a girl..lol.. even though I would have been just as happy! My husband is excited it's a boy so that he can pass down his name and to be able to teach his son what his dad taught him. We got a really good 4D U/S picture of his face, but I haven't had a chance to post it yet. They also moved my due date up from April 1- to March 27. I couldn't be happier about that either. The sooner that I get to hold my little man in my arms. .the better!!! It's amazing how you could already be so in love with someone that you've never met....
November 16, 2007... Well today hasn't been the best as far as how I feel. I am extremely tired today and my body just aches. I am 21 weeks pregnant and have already been experiencing bouts of back pain which radiates down my legs. My joints feel achy and I'll just be glad when 5pm gets here so that I can leave work and go home, prop my feet up and relax. What I wouldn't give for a noon time siesta....zzzzz...... My energy level hasn' t really been down too much, but I think today I am making up for it. Being pregnant is definately not always easy, but I am thankful to have such a supporting husband. He is great about cooking dinner and doing dishes when I'm not feeling good. He always reminds me that I am the one that's pregnant, not him. So since I have to carry our baby he can handle everything else. Might I also mention that he gives great massages. Hope everyone else is feeling well today!!
December 4, 2007..... I thought I'd add an update to my page because I haven't posted in a little while. Last week I had to go to the doctor because of an extreme soreness that I was having in my lower right side ( close to where the baby is ). I wasn't having any other symptoms other than back pain but decided to get checked out to be on the safe side. I was certain that I had a cyst because I am famous for getting cysts on my right ovary, but as it turns out it is very uncommon to get cysts this far into pregancy (23) weeks. The doctor suspected that I could have a possible hernia or a kidney infection. After having a deep and shallow U/S.. it turns out that I have a severe muscle strain.. wow.. who would have thought that a muscle strain could be so sore. The doctor said I could have injured myself simply getting up from bed or a chair- because things are loosening up in your abdominal area it's easy to hurt yourself. Other than that I have been feeling well and just counting down the days when I can hold my beautiful little boy in my arms :)
December 20, 2007.... Just wanted to post a quick update. I had my glucose tolerance test done on December 12 and got the results back yesterday. The nurse said my level was 118 and that was in the normal range so I am very excited about that. Every hurdle that me and baby pass with no complications I feel more and more relieved. I can't believe there are only 14 weeks left before he is here. We still haven't picked out a first name yet, but I believe that it will come to us. My husband and I have both compiled lists so hopefully we will be able to narrow our choices down soon and stop calling him baby or junior all the time. I have also been day dreaming a lot lately about what my life will be like this time next year. I can't wait to spend next Christmas with my wonderful husband and baby.. I have been feeling so thankful these days about my life. I am married to my best friend, we are fixing to have our first baby, and it's the holidays and we get to spend a lot of time with family.... aaahh... life is good :)
January 4, 2007.... We have finallly picked out a name for our son. We have known from day one that is middle name would be Wayne because that is my husbands middle name. The first name on the other hand has been a major task. I have asked advice from friends and family who all gave me their input ( some names were good and some well.. not so good :) ).. anyways, we bougt a baby name book with 100,000 names in it which I will admit was very overwhelming.. my advice to anyone is to find a book with way less choices than that or go to an online sight and look. My husband went through the entire alphabet for boys names and made his list. I on the other hand became stressed at the task of actually giving someone a name that they will have for the rest of their life that I hesitated for a while. I went through the top 100 boy names each year for the past 10 years and compiled my list of about 15-20. We each narrowed our lists down to the top 10, then the top 5, then narrowed it down to 1 name a piece. My husbands' main choice was Mason and my main choice was Logan. So we went shopping this past Saturday at the Hobby Lobby ( looking for some craft materials so that we could make some of our own decorations for the babys room ). So here we are, standing in the aisle with the wooden letters and my husband lays out the letters for Mason and Logan. We are determined that we are not leaving the store without buying those wooden letters. So after about 5 minutes of debating on the pros and cons and everything in between. we decide on Logan.... so his name will be Logan Wayne Williams.... I hope he likes it and I can't wait to meet him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
January 24, 2008..... Went in yesterday for my 30 week visit and everything seems to be going fine. I had my normal OB visit and then I had my keepsake appointment. ( They do a video and take U/S pictures in 4D for 15 minutes). Well, Logan was laying in his typical position, with his hands over his face or close to his face. We got some pretty good pictures but they could have been better if it weren't for the umbilical cord getting in the way too. Anyways, I am thriled because after my 20 week U/S, I wasn't supposed to have another done unless there was a problem, so paying the extra $100 was worth getting to see my little baby again. I can't believe that the next time I see him he will be in my arms. At my OB visit yesterday I was measuring in @ 32 weeks and the midwife said not to worry because Sunday I would be 31 weeks, so I was pretty much on schedule. I also asked how my urine sample was and she said it was good and then said- " You had a little bit of protein in your urine but it's normal and there is nothing to be concerned about ". Well if only it were that simple. Of course I hope there is nothing wrong, but in the back of my mind I fear that it could be a sign of preclampsia. From what I have read today, there are several things that could contribute to protein buildup and that it would be a concern if the levels were around +1. So I guess for now I'll stop worrying about things that I don't need to because the extra stress isn't good for me or baby. I just want this pregnancy to be super healty and am scared to have any complications. I guess we will see if there is still a problem when I go in on February 6... I hope all you mothers or mothers to be are having a wonderful pregnancy!!!
