I'm Lisa. We had been TTC since 2006. I have 2 great kids. We stopped using birth control to find that I have PCOS and was not ovulating. My OB started me on meds...and then we started Clomid in June of 07. I started metformin in Nov. Temping too. We took a break from all the meds and what do you know: I found out I was pregnant 2-25-08!!!!

UPDATE: I am concidered high risk. I go in bi-weekly for cervical length checks (done by ultrasounds) and I have to be given P17 (by my wonderful hubby) Progestrone injections weekly, usually Friday nights, to prevent any pre-term labor due to my history. Feel free to ask any questions you my have about TTC or pregnancy!! Nothing offends me, I promise. I have also developed SPD (it's when your pelvic bone seperates way before delivery).

We love the name JESSE JAMES

James is a family name and Jesse is just a good old name noone really uses anymore.

And YES we know he was an outlaw in the 1800's and yes we know the other one builds motorcycles! We really don't care. That just means he will have to be a little bad @ss to pull off this name, now won't he~!

I figure with a mohawk and some fake tats, he and daddy can be bad @sses together. LOL

Hi All! i hope every one of you is doing well! I just wanted to drop alittle update on my beautiful little man. He was running a fever last week and I "know" he's teething, but I thougth maybe he had an ear infection. My middle son, Andrew, always had ear infections and unfortunately teething has the same symptoms. So, anyhow, I took Nicholas in to the doc to have his ears checked only for the doctor to tell me, "It looks like a classic case of infant teething syndrome to me" Okay...make a fool out of me..lol. You will never guess how much Nicholas weighd when he stepped on the scale (yes, he's too big for the baby scale) My little Pork chop is 27#. He will be 1 year old on Saturday the 26th and I am eagerly finalizin all of the plans for his Birthday bash. We invited everyone we could and It will be overwhelming for him, I am sure. I will post LOTS of pictures afterward. I did add our 4th of July vacation-week photos so if you haven't looked at those, take a peek when you have a minute. Okay, well the orajel & tylenol are working for now so I better get to bed. 5am wake-up for work comes awfully early. Love all of you, my girls (& guy) Take care of you & your babies! You said feel free to ask questions...so here goes. How did the doctors know you needed progesterone injections? I have had 2 MC and wonder if I may need this. I don't even know what questions I should ask.
I asked my doc. if I had PCOS because I read about the symptoms. She said my testosterone level was a little high (which can be a sign) but said she was ruling it out because I have completely regular cycles. Anyways, how do I find out if I need the injections and how soon should it start? Thanks for any advice, I really want a baby.

i dont look like im showing at all and im 24 weeks! i mean.. i cant fit into my old jeans or anything and shirts feel tighter.. but i look at other people who are 24 weeks and im like ahhh is my baby not the right size.. but the drs say he is.

I wish I was with you with lookin small but unfortunetely I feel huge! If your dr says everything is ok,I wouldn't worry!! That just means the less weight you'll gain and the less your skin will stretch(which means less stretch marks!) Consider yourself lucky =)

I just wanted to say Thank you to you all for your support! I could not have gotten this far TTC for the past months without you all backing me up and reminding me to keep my faith. Right now, I am grateful for my miracle, Please pray for me that it is a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby, this is our first and I was completely shocked by the test. My joy is over whelming, my mom keeps telling me to be positive, and I am like, I will be positive, but I am waiting for my doc appointment Wednesday to make sure all is well. Either way I have to believe God is taking care of me. No matter what, I know DH and I concieved a life and that is the most amazing feeling for me right now.

Hi ladies, you all know I returned Sunday evening from NY. My BB's have been sore and I was soo tired yesterday I wanted to lay down. Well, I went to Walmart this morning to buy a first response and I had to go soo bad I went to my car and opened the box and got a test, then went back in top the back. I told the lady I forgot something. LOL I took it and in no time there was two lines!!!! I got my first BFP in Walmart LOL! I was shaking and I asked the lady that worked there to confirm what I was seeing LOL! She said "yyyeeeaaahh, that is 2 lines," I told her That it is a good thing but I expected a negative LOL. I ran to my car to grab my phone and by that time I was crying with joy. DH said what's wrong, I said crying, "nothing, I took a test and it is positive!" He said it is a good thing. I said I know but I am scared now. All the what if's I am just going to enjoy that positive and not worry for now. When we were in NY, the elderly man who lives above my FIL, he told DH, "I hope you have a healty baby" I was like,. does he know something I don't? So anyway BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited, I just want the confirmation from my doc.

Hi ladies, I am finally home now. We drove 4.5 hours to SIL and then another 7 hours to Upstate NY. Then back yesterday to VA, then we drove tonight home. I missed my home and my dogs, I had to clean a little, but all is well. I have sore BB's and dizziness theis whole week. I have some slight cramping but no AF. I did not pay attention this month or should I say 2 months, so we will see.

Oh, I really feel for you hun! I was really expecting the same kind of 'theres nothing I can do for you response' from my doctor, but then he totally suprised me by putting me on immediate referral to a senior physiotherapist at the hospital. I was so relieved that he had done something positive for me! He said they are going to have to make a belt for me to wear, or else I think I might be one of those ladies that ends up in a wheelchair!

I know what you mean about people thinking we're lazy, daddy to be and other family don't give me any sympathy whatsoever and just keep telling me to stop complaining, but they just don't know how bad it really is!

Explain how you feel to your doc, and I'm sure they will sort something out for you.

Hi just read your post about bed rest and although I've not been put on bedrest, I have been signed off work for the next two weeks by my doctor due to back problems. It's been going on for about 4 weeks now, but last time I went to my doctor, I did openly say that I needed a doctors note and he was quite willing to give me one. - I was only expecting a few days though. Not 2 weeks!

It might be worth mentioning to your doc, I guess it just depends on how sympathetic they are? xx

Hi all, I am most likely not going to be around for the rest of the week. We are trying to get to VA to catch a ride to NY for the funeral. We spoke to my FIL this AM and he said the funeral is tomorrow, and we are going to just ride with my SIL, it is safer for all of us and then we will just stay there with her til she returns. woke up in a very thoughtful mood today, my man has been cheating no suprise there the guys a born bastard! but there comes a time when u have to look at your situation and ask if a nice lifestyle and stuff is worth all the stress and humiliation and sleepless nights? answer no its not !! ive got that used to bein around him living in his house working for him ect that it just seems like the big wide world is a scary place at the minute! my friends are determined that i leave him this time as his latest fling has been goin on for over 14 months yeah long time considerin how we ttc'd for over a year at his suggestion ????? so feeling pretty low and shitty today and hoping for sum divine intervention lol??
