It's a boy!

5lbs 9oz, 18" long (birth story in blog)
I'm Lisa. We had been TTC since 2006. I have 2 great kids. We stopped using birth control to find that I have PCOS and was not ovulating. My OB started me on meds...and then we started Clomid in June of 07. I started metformin in Nov. Temping too. We took a break from clomid (the 6th round) and what do you know: I found out I was pregnant 2-25-08!!!!
UPDATE: I am high risk. I go in bi-weekly for cervical length checks (by ultrasound) and I have to be given P17 (by my wonderful hubby) Progestrone injections weekly, usually Friday nights, to prevent any pre-term labor, due to my history. Feel free to ask any questions you my have about TTC or pregnancy!! Nothing offends me, I promise. I have also developed SPD (it's when your pelvic bone seperates way before delivery).
EXPLAINING PROGESTRONE: There are two types, progestrone you take early in pregnancy to prevent miscarriage (if you have a history of them) and progestrone you inject later in pregnancy (week 16 or so thru week 34 or 36) to prevent preterm labor. I have never had a miscarriage and only use the P17 injects to prevent preterm labor.

I really hope so! I really appreciate how you help clear up some things that I was not sure about because from my knowledge if you Prog level was over 15 you are pregnant so that goes to show you how much I know, you would think that I would be a pro by now being that we been trying for so long! LOL My doctor doesn't really give me a lot of answer to my question so that why I was so confused but I just want to say thanks for all your help and I can't wait to see your beautiful baby boy!

Wow I cannot believe how small you are!! :0) As long as your baby is healthy and growing, I say 'cheers to you' at least you won't have to worry about struggling to get all the extra weight off that some of us have put on! is driving me mad!! i cnt trn over in bed sumtimes i cnt even get up the pain is un bearable!!! sum days im fine its bed time it seems worse!! ive soo had enough i feel great need to clean and do washin ect it just hurts sooo much xxxx

I am sorry you are not getting the kind of support you deserve! I am on bedrest too and my husband and I are one state over from our friends and family, but my mom has spent a lot of time visiting us from AZ and cooking, cleaning, painting, gardening, etc. My girlfriends are very good about emailing and calling. I wonder if you need to reach out to them again and let them know you need some company, let them know you are down. If you don't get enough attention from your friends and family, be sure to make connections on this site. Sometimes it takes another person going through the same things - aches, pains, lonliness, man troubles... so you don't feel alone.

we have the same story except i dont have any other kids but hubby and i were ttc since 2006 and i was diagnosed with pcos and put on metformin and found out i was prego feb too! i was put on bedrest when i was 16 weeks dut to contractions and my cervical length shortening and i went thru the same stuff you are....some of my so called best friends came to see me once or twice and they live minutes away. i was so upset and felt so hurt cause i would be there for them but my family was great and some friends that i wouldnt expect stepped up to the plate and were amazing. i used to hate when people would say you are huge or you must be having twins and then when i couldnt go out anymore i was like this sucks i miss the attention. so hang in there and if you need to vent or chat im here it will all be worth it in the end!

That is awesome. I am hoping for a boy too. I have a little girl and my husband is dying for a boy. Our little girl is daddy's girl all the way so I don't know what he needs two fishing buddies for. Wow 14 huh? Is he excited. I bet that is a little strange for him. So does it not hurt when you take them in the butt. That sounds weird but I was always afraid it would hurt worse. I had one shot of fenergan in the butt and thought I was going to die.

i got my 3 hour test result. i failed the first hour i was at 183. Doctor told me since i only failed one out the four test. I will only need to take a diet class n follow some kindoff diet. No medication!! I will be monitor once in a while for diabetes. I guess im not consider diabetic at this time. THANK GOD! Good luck at your 3 hour test.

Progesterone can also be taken as vaginal inserts because I have been taking them for 7 weeks now to avoid a miscarriage. I was never prescribed a crème. I also had a pre-term labor at 4.5 months.
