hi everyone my name is tanya...im 29 and mummy to five children jonathan 12yrs born 40 wks...cameran 30 wks due to sprom at 27wks...abbie born at 42 wks...liam born at 36wks due to preavia...callum 2 1/2yrs born at 36wks...and am currently 24+3 wks preggas with my 6 child...i am a grand multiple birther as the medical profession likes to call me hee hee...i always giggle at that one...

anyway my afi levels have been low since 20+2wks measuring 11cm at that time...at 21+5wks they were 8cm...then my waters ruptured at 22+3wks and i had 1cm left...at 23+5wks they could not measure any im due for a scan on the 26/02 to see what my afi levels are now...

thank you to everyone who posted their stories on the oligohydramnios blog you have made me realise that no matter what the docs say my son does have a chance...i have been a blubbering wreck these last 2 wks and was even offered a termination...well not any more i am determined to stop feeling sorry for myself and start supporting my baby in his fight for life...he is fighting so should i...these little babbys are a lot stronger than i give them credit for...and i can tell you if my baby survives hes gonna know it... he will be one cherished little monkey...

My water broke at 25 1/2 weeks with my 4th daughter.She was delivered healthy at 28 weeks.They filled my uterus with water through an i.v and some sort of pump.I had two i,v s. One into my arm and one into my...She is a healthy 14 year old and a grade ahead!M son Chris broke his water at 26 1/2 weeks and was delivered at 31 weeks.He is 11 and just fine! With my son Joshua,my amniotic fluid was low at 19 weeks.A level 3-4 and some of the pockets had none!I delivered him at 32 weeks by emergency c-section.My fluid stayed low the whole time and they recommended termination several times.He stayed in the NICU for two weeks and appears to be fine at 2 1/2 months,except a lot smaller. Don't give up!Stop by and read my page!Ihad a horrible pregnancy,but a beautiful baby!Keep me updated if you can.Good luck and my prayers are with you.

My fluid got low to. It was down to 4cm when I was 23 weeks. but as long as they keep watching the baby to make sure he is doing good and you take it easy hopefully you will be able to build the fluid back up. Mine is now back to normal. Prays are with you!

hiya i read your post keep your chin up that happend to me except i was 32 weeks my waters where slowly leaking but it was watery disharge so they kept on saying it was all discharge till they finally did a u/s and seen i had 5 cm amniotic fluid they did fetal monitering every week and a u/s every 2 weeks they didnt induce me because the babys heart beat was fine they estimated on the u/s the baby was 3lb 4oz i had her at 37 weeks and she was 6lb you and the baby will be in safe hands they can inject your sac with fluids aswell bacause your only 24 weeks they didnt do it with me coz i was 32 wks my sac healed over but the fluid started to top itself up i had bedrest at home and drank gallons of water keep your chin up and let me know how ur doing xxxxxx
