Friday, 6 June We just trimmed Byron's hair at home. My husband has a hair trimmer and we just did it ourselves. At least no one thinks he's a girl anymore

Friday, 6 June both my cats are indoor kittys so they don't get burned but the vet did tell me that if Gizmo got too much sun he would have an increased risk of cancer.
Byron was also eating every 2 hrs for a long time but since he's been about 4 months old he can go longer between feed, especially if we are out and he's distracted. He's gone a maximum of 4.5hrs in the daytime without nursing. Do you nurse from both breasts? You could try to feed him from both breasts (when you are not pumping) and he might go a little longer in between feeds. But 5-6 months they will definitely be able to last longer between feeds. Also, most babies have growth spurt around 3/4 months (mine gained almost 2 lbs in that month) so he could genuinely be more hungry. karenc -
Friday, 6 June hey there - I feel like I got hit by a truck i'm so beat, lol! what's going on with you guys - mack not sleeping well? wasabigizmobunny -
Thursday, 5 June I use the medela freestyle which is a double pump. if you are just trying to see how much your son's eating then I would suggest you just forget about it. He's probably getting enough and you really cannot gauge how much milk you have with pumping. On the other hand, if you are trying to store up on expressed milk and create a freezer supply, I would suggest you pump while he nurses on the other side. This why, your son's sucking will create letdown and you will probably be able to pump more. wasabigizmobunny -
Tuesday, 3 June I think peach fuzz hair is so cute though! I needed to cut Byron's hair because everyone assumed he was a girl LOL. There are so many "dos and don'ts" of parenting, I just think we should do what we feel is best for our kids. I try to trust my instincts.

Tuesday, 3 June Byron went for about a month pooping only once a week or so but now he's back to regular which means pretty much daily. I remember him being VERY gassy though when he was going around a week at a time.
well, we are officially those moms who have whole conversations about poopy diapers LOL wasabigizmobunny -
Tuesday, 3 June "Many parents think that walkers will help children learn to walk. As it turns out, walkers interfere with learning to walk. In addition to decreasing the desire to walk by providing an easier alternative, walkers strengthen the wrong muscles. The lower legs are strengthened, but the upper legs and hips become relatively weak. The upper legs and hips are most important for walking."
"For children who want to be upright, an exersaucer can be a nice alternative. These look like walkers, but without the wheels. They allow children to bounce, rock, spin, and sit upright -- without satisfying the urge to move across the floor. They are safe and developmentally appropriate.

Monday, 2 June my baby has gone 8days without pooping once. As long as they have plenty of wet diapers it's not a problem! jenmarie82 -

Thursday, 1 May Thanks for your response. How long did it take for the poop to go back to normal. I've been doing the block feeding now for about 5 days, and the color is going back to yellow from green, but the mucs is still there. NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
