daisy's birth story

I went to the doctor Monday April 14th for my 39th week checkup. My doctor had to go home for family things so I saw one of the other ones. I asked about being induced because my doctor wanted to induce me before my due date. And again my doctor decided to have a full week at the hospital so the one I saw had to do because I was ready to get her out.

They put me in the hospital that night to do a cervix induction to thin out my cervix. So I hung out at the hospital Monday night.

At 7 am Tuesday April 15th they broke my water, which hurt really bad and was extremely messy feeling. My contractions started soon after that. Then around 9ish they started the pitocin drip to make my contractions stronger. Then about 10ish they gave me an epidural at 2.5 centimeters cause the contractions were really intense. It wasn't the best feeling getting the epi in between strong contractions. When that was done my left leg went numb and the right one didn't. Around 23 or 4pm I was 4 cm took forever so they upped the pit drip even more to get things going faster. An hour and a half later I was 8cm Around 5:30 I was ready to start pushing. And by this time my epi was wearing off, pretty much no help at all.

I pushed for two hours, feeling it all, something I can't explain...Finally at 7:39 Daisy was here. April 15th, TAX DAY! She was 9lbs14.4oz, 21 inches long. Adam watched the whole thing and he cut the cord.

howdy people

Just wanted to say hey to all my friends! Gosh i have finger nails now and that make sit hard to type on the computer. anyways...daisy and i are great. shes doing good growing like a lil weed. she went for her 2 wk check up on the 2nd of may and she was 22inches long and she weighted in at 10lbs 4oz. shes a big girl!! But she is wonderful. She has a small heart murmur but nothing to worry bout, and it took her a while to pass her hearing test in her left ear, but she passed!

Shes the best thing that could have happened to me in my life. Sleeping is the issue. She doesnt want to be put down alone so if i lay her in out bed...i know i know...she will slp a lil more and longer if im laying with her!

Eating is good. I didnt get to breast feed as i intended to because the lil stubborn girl didnt want to latch on to me so i got mad and gave her a bottle because i just wanted to cry because i felt she wasnt getting food. But shes doing good with the 3rd formula we had her on! She had to be put on Simliac Soy formula cause the regular Simliac wasnt doing her well made her gassy and all!

She with be a month on the 15th of May! Cant believe i only have 2 wks until i have to return to work! It sux! But thats life!

Well im heading on! Hope to be able to update sooner or later! Miss my friends bunches!!!!!!! MWAH

Daisy is going on 2 months now. Havent been able to put anymore pics up been way busy with things. Shes doing good. Eating and pooing and growing ya know all the normal stuff. She is cooing alot now and totally smiling. Shes trying to laugh but doesnt come out as good. Shes a good baby. She has her days of where she wants to be cranky and be the boss. But shes totally loveable!

Hello Mummies. Just an update on Olivia. We took her to her physio appt on monday. Her feet are getting better but still have to use a brace til September. She doesnt mind it so its ok. Tuesday we had injections and her 4 month check-up. She weighs 5.36kilos which is 11 lbs 8 ozs, she is a little bundle. We havent started solids as yet, so when we do she might get a bit more meat on her, she is happy with just the booby juice for the timing being. Thursday, we had her hearing test and i am pleased to let you all know that she PASSED!!! The audiologist she is a very placid baby. The cause of her hearing loss was due to the mecconium that was in her middle ear and also she has a bit of a cold. As most of you know she had pooed inside me before she was born. I just want to thank you for all your prayers and well wishes... obviously the big man upstairs heard you all. Thank you ALL so much. Take care of yourselves and families. God Bless.... Well its allready been 13 weeks since i had libby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where has the time gone.

she is now very alert, very strong/willed developing such a charactor, hardly ever shuts up unless she is tired and found out that she can roll!!!!!!!

she has such a little temper on her it is unreal,lol.

waking up now, after 5-6 hours sleep through the night to libby smiling is too precious.

Hi everyone! Aloha from Sierra. She had her 4-month Well Baby visit on Monday and weighed 13 pounds 9 ounces (50th percentile). She's long and lean at 23 1/2 inches (75th - 90th percentile) but has a peanut head (25th percentile). Overall, she's doing splendid.

We're on the plane right now - heading to California to see the family. It's rather exciting except that the oil filter on the plane has to be replaced so rather than revving the engines and taking off, we headed back to the gate for a repair. It's a little scary if you ask me and we've successfully missed our transfer flight. At least the kid is chill! So, if you hear about Flight 92 crashing, you'll know who was on it!
