Our little angel has arrived!! I can't believe our day finally arrived, but Eden made her grand appearance on September 8th at 9:29AM. I will post my birth story soon. God bless you expecting mothers. There is no greater feeling than to hold your baby in your arms for the first time.

Well, ladies.....I went to the doctor today and both my high risk specialist and OBGYN agreed that I needed to be induced at 38 weeks!! OMG! That is 5 weeks away and I am a little overwhelmed by the news, but I know God will put everything in place in order to prepare for Eden's arrival. The docs say I am doing really well, but they don't want to risk any preclamsyia developing in my last few weeks so they will induce me as a preventive form of action. It will be a two day process whereas I will be admitted the first day and given meds to thin my cervix in preparation for delivery and the second day I will be given meds to help me dialiate and increase my contractions in hopes for a vaginal delivery. I will only get a Csection if my cervix does not cooperate, my blood pressure rises or the baby's heartrate drops. So, it looks like I will not be with my fellow preggers for too much longer! I have so many emotions going through me, but it is mainly happiness as well as thankfulness to God.Soon I will meet my angel. Keep us in prayer you all as we will continue to do the same for you. :)

Is this your first pregnancy: Yes, my first successful one praise GOD!
When did you find out you were pregnant: January 14th
Was it planned: Kind of. We weren't anal about it, but were sure we would be blessed when the time was right.
What was your first reaction:Fast heartbeat, shortness of breath, disbelief and then the tears came!
Who was with you when you found out: My co-worker. She scored the test from the nursing station for me!
Who was the first person you told: My co-worker, but she also helped me find a special way to give the news to my husband. We got an idea from the internet and went to the gift shop to get a piggy bank. Then I made a label to go around the box that read: "Our baby's college fund:Only 18 years and 9 months to save". He was overjoyed about the news when I surprised him at home!
How did your parents react: My mother was super happy yet cautious from my past experiences. My father was very excited and seemed proud
How far along are you: 31 weeks and 4 days
What was your first symptoms: Sore BB, nausea, frequent urinating and 2 days late!!
What is your due date: September 19th
Do you know the sex of the baby: Yes
If so, what is it: A girl
Have you picked out names?: Of course
If so, what are they: Eden Makenna
How much weight have you gained: 22 pounds
Do you have stretch marks: Nope! Thank God
Have you felt the baby move: Of course! She is super active and running out of room
Have you heard the heartbeat: Several times and each time is like a miracle
About the birth
Will you keep the baby: Absolutely
Home or hospital birth: Las Colinas Medical Center
Natural or medicated birth: LOTS OF MEDS PLEASE!!! Low tolerance for pain
Who will be in the delivery room with you: Husband and my mother
Will you breastfeed: Yes
Do you think you'll need a c-section: I really hope not, but since I am a high risk patient due to previous high blood pressure condition it is always a possibility if my bp gets too high. With meds we have been doing great!
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time: No doubt in my mind.....I cry just thinking about holding her
What's the first thing you might say to him/her: Hey punkin doodle!
Would you let someone videotape the birth? Yes, my husband as long as gets the appropriate shots! LOL No bellow the belt please
Are you excited about the birth, or scared: Both, but more excited than anything

Thank you for the comment :) I can't believe it's almost over!!!! I'm so ready to not be pregnant any more, but so scared of actually having him here all at the same time. I'm going today to get the finishing touches for his room.... maybe that will send me into labor.... my husband answers the phone with this tone each time i call him.... thinking i'm calling him to tell him my water has broke, haha... well, this comment got awful long for just wanting to say thank you :) have a great week!!!!

So sorry to hear about your loss hun; however, keep in faith that she is no longer suffering from the horrors of cancer, and is hopefully in a more peaceful place. It is always hard to loose someone close to you, but the secret is always keeping them alive in your heart long after their departure from this life. I am sure your aunt will keep your baby well protected, and I am even more sure your baby will mirror aspects of your aunt to serve as a constant reminder of her.
On another note hun, you had 3 showers???? WOW! I am having one shower, and it is on the 23rd August, as my mom has been organizing it. Just keep praying that I make it past that date, as these days I feel he could really make an entrance at any time. Sure you got lots of fabulous stuff for your shower, and I look forward to seeing the final product of the baba room.
Oh you are so lucky about the induction, I really wanted to be induced by 38 weeks, as I wanna ensure I do not go past due, as I am scared about the size of the baby. I asked my doc about induction, and she said we will have to see closer to the time. I wanna know how it all goes, and when you are going in for induction eh!!! Make sure and give me the exact date, so I can keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Anyhow have to run there, but will talk again soon. Take care xoxo

Thank you for your reply. I have another scan on the 12th. If they see the baby and the heartbeat they will start me on daily injections if not then it is not a continuing pregnancy. I am taking asprin everyday now and multi vits etc The consultant I see is a specialist and is very good. Every reply I have had has helped me to relax a bit. I will just pray until the 12th. xx

Thanks for sending congrats our way! OMG..You are going on your 3rd baby shower..you must be exhausted by now! I don't think I could handle another one..lol! I was tremendously exhausted yet really grateful for the numerous amounts of gifts received! Well I wish you the best of luck they say the third times a charm so hopefully you get all that you are lacking!

Thank you! :) We worked pretty hard on her nursery, I should have taken a before shot of the room, it was a jumbled up nightmare, one of those spare rooms where all the junk gets thrown!!!! And yes, I think I gained too much weight just from my shower alone, haha!

Yeah reality is now striking me yes, that only in a matter of weeks I will have my own little baby, it is so exciting and scary all at once. Your right, so much to do and feels like so little time. I felt that I had so much time on my hands, and then now, I am like time slow down... well not really as I amd ying to meet my son.
So glad to hear your shower was a success, and it sounds like you really got some great gifts. I am looking forward to my shower also, but thats not till august 23rd, so hopefully i will still have enough time after that to put some things in place.
Have to run there, but have a great day, and chat with you some more throughout the week.

So how was your baby shower?
MY aunt has also got cancer and she is going through chemo at the moment, kinda sad seeing her like that as she was the one that practically brought me up and not my mum..
and yes, i cant beleive im already 30 weeks! only 10 more weeks left, dont know if i should be nervous or excited at this point? I have planned my water birth at home with my midwife also, but however if i end up having him before 37 weeks i have to have him at the hospital..lets hope that doesnt happen!
