I haven't updated my details in so long thought I would update some info. Well I am almost 32 weeks now. I still have a baby insistant on keeping secrets (about the sex!!!!) but I feel pretty good. I still have my shooting pains in the groin (not really funny those!!!!) and a little heartburn. I still consider myself quite small (I mean I could still be confused for being just a little overweight, rather than pregnant.) This used to concern me, but doctors aren't concerned, so therefore I figure I shouldn't be either.
My baby certainly is an active little tyke, and I am just starting to get those pushes in the rib cage that I have heard so many others talk about.
I am slowly getting prepared with hospital bags and the like and the nursery I would say in about 85% complete. But bub has a place to sleep so I am not too concerned about the little bit left.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Seems our hospital problems may have been sorted, just waiting on a call back from the midwives.
We still have no idea what we are having, but I guess I have just resigned to the fact that we may not find out before it is born.
I have so much action in my belly. I think my baby (boy or girl) thinks they will become a professional sports person, although not sure bladder football is a sport!!!!
I am very excited because last weekend all our bedroom furniture was delivered and we now have a fully set out baby nursery. It looks adorable, but we still have some pictures and things to put on the walls to make it really cute. I can't wait until the baby arrives to be able to use it. I keep peaking round the door just to see how great it looks.

I am so depressed at the moment!!! Hubby and I went to finalise Hospital booking to be told, they are a small hospital with a no intensive care ward, so because of my BMI (Body Mass Index) I was in a high risk anaestic category and I would be unable to have my baby there. I guess I am mostly angry because no one in my 20 weeks has mentioned this being a possible problem (not even my doctor). If I had known it would be an issue I would never have got my heart set on this particular hospital and I would have taken measures to ensure it say under the limit (not dieting of course). Also because Doc was on holiday I have been unable to see him to discuss my options (my next appointment is notfor another week) . I feel scared that my options of having the baby in another good hospital may be reduced.
I am so pleased this baby has been an absolute angel to me and my body, because the Medical industry has just let me down time and time again. And we are told, in Australia, we have one of the best systems in the world!!!!! Go figure...... Pregnancy should be enjoyable, but this keeps bringing me down.

We didn't get to find out what we are having!!!!! Little bub didn't want to show. I so wanted to know what I was having, but we will have to wait.
But on a very happy note, everything is progressing wonderfully and all is developing where is should.
I have expereinced more movement this week. At first I wasn't sure what I was feeling, but now just before I go to bed I usually have unmistakable little bumps. Very exciting!!!

12/27/07 Hope everyone is well and had a safe and Happy Christmas
I go for my next scan next week, 3rd Jan. I am pretty excited because we are going to find out what we are having. I hope little junior co-operates. I'm not sure if his/her father and I will handle not finding out!!! I had my blood pressure monitor fitted, and as far as I can tell, everything seemed OK, but have to go to Docs to confirm this for sure.
I still have not (at least I don't think I have) felt my baby move, but as I have read from other people, this does not seem uncommon especially in first time Mothers. Just before I go to bed, sometimes I feel what appears to be a pulse or steady heartbeat in my belly area, but I'm not sure if that is it or not!!!
Have a wonderful New Year!!!_______________________________________________________________________________
11/23/07 I am feeling very well. Thanks to all the wonderful personal messages I have received!!!
We received our test results from our 12 week scan and blood test. There is not incidence of Down syndrome or other chromosomal problems. However I still continue to have highre than normal blood pressure. It is not through the roof, but I have always been so consistant, so the doc is mildly concerned. I will be having a blood pressure monitor fitted for a day which takes a reading for 24 hours to establish whether it is not just me being worried when I enter the docs surgery.
I also have slighly elevated liver function, but at this stage to doc is not too concerned about that either. So fingers crossed these two little things sort themselves out.
Hope everyone else is doing well

11/16/07 - Thanks so much to everyone who responded, made me feel a whole lot better.
Well my fears have been dropped now. I had my first proper scan yesterday (had a mini one with the doc about a week ago) and everything appears to be normal. Length is 52mm, head diameter is 20mm, heart rate was 152 beats per minutes, which apprarently is also normal. It has two legs and two arms, which is always a good thing!!!It was pretty amazing seeing it on the screen. Every time it moved, my husband jumped, it was so funny. But when we went to print the photo's etc, it didn't want to play anymore and rolled over. No matter what we did (Dr made me cough etc) it definately didn't want it's pics taken. Maybe it will be a good sleeper!!! It did this the first time too!!! So we have some pretty sketchy pics. LOL
I feel so much more relaxed now, but we had some test done for Down Syndrome and a few other things so we will find that all out next week. Then I hope it will be smooth sailing.
Still feeling great, but still a little tired

11/2/07 I haven't updated my page in a while so thought I would let everyone know how things are in my part of Australia!!
Well so far I have suffered no sickness whatsoever. I still believe this is tempting fate as I have heard of people getting sick much later in their pregnancies. However I do know of people who just have had it like this. I have sore and enlarged boobs, I tend to get a bit of gas (burping mostly!!!!) when I eat and I feel tired. But as I have mentioned before, apart from the fact I have not had AF for almost three months (and I was a regular as clockwork since I first got it) I worry that I am not pregnant at all. I so far have not gained an ounce of weight and there are no outwards signs at all. I have my first scan in about a week and a half, so hopefull that will put any concerns I have to rest. A blood test has confirmed my pregnancy and I have had not spotting or bleeding. Being my first I suppose you do worry about things more when you haven't got any benchmarks to compare to.
I have not told anyone but family yet and plan to do that after my first scan.
Anyway, hope everyone else is doing well. I love this site as I feel like I can share my experiences and learn from others, so thanks!!!

All my updates went missing, so I thought I would update my page on how things are going with me.
I am now six weeks pregnant, nearly seven. I can't quite believe I am already here, but I am sure it will slow down and I get a chance to enjoy the experience.
My husband and I had tried to conceive for only one month. obviously all the star were in line for us, because one month after making our decision to try, we received a BFP from the HPT. At first we were a little freaked out and quite nervous. The words "what have we done" certainly fell from our mouths a few times!!
But now almost three weeks since finding out we have settled into the thought of parenthood. We agonised for some time about telling anyone, but finally decided to tell our respective families only. We will break the news to the wider family and friends between 8 and 12 weeks.
So far I have suffered no morning sickness (however I am not tempting fate on this one!!) and have had sore breasts and a bit of gas.
I have had an appointment with my doctor and had a series of blood tests which confirmed all is heading the right direction however I am yet to confirm an appointment with the GC, but will sort that out tomorrow.
