I am a 35yr old brest cancer survivor and am pregnant. I have a 14yr old son and I miscarried at 14 weeks in 2006. My boyfriend and I are very excited. We haven't told the kids (his/mine) yet due to the past m/c or our family/friends. My first doctors appt is dec 12 so hopefully they will discuss my past m/c and how to prevent another one. Wish me luck!

FINALLY! I went for my first U/S last tuesday (Jan 22) and the baby is doing great. That is what I was waiting for. They did determine that I am a little further along then I thought. So my due date has been changed to July 20th. As of now my chance after this of a miscarriage is 5%. I think the odds are in my favor. I posted the best pics from the U/S and scheduled my 20 week for March 4th. Its funny because my boyfriend kept saying "I see testicles!" while the nurse and I were like Nooooo its too early silly. lol.

Hey there,

Glad to hear that things are well with you! So, has the bleeding subsided? How are you feeling? I also turned down the amnio and other tests, i wouldn't terminate regardless. It's scary with all of the tests they throw at you! I try not to stress about it all. So, do you have any names picked out?

What was causing your uterine bleeding? I had it at 14 weeks also and the doctors don't know why. It was bright red blood and it lasted 4 days like a period but not as heavy.

Hi There, i am so glad you are feeling good! Has the dr. put you on progesterone and or prometrium to prevent miscarriage this time around? Just curious. My dr. has me on progesterone supp. and prometrium pills.

hey, you asked how I have been feeling....yucky! I get sick alot in the morning mostly. We only have 3 more weeks until week 13! I hope I feel better after week 13! I have my first prenatal appt this week on weds! I am excited, I want my husband to hear the heartbeat! I had a u/s to validate the pregnancy at 5 weeks but my husband couldn't go. He's soooo excited! I'll keep you posted. Ps. My mother in law is a breast cancer survivor, she's the strongest person I know! For being so young, you've overcome something so big. I think it's amazing.

I also had a m/c at 14 weeks, and another one at 16 weeks. I have to take prometrium to stay pregnant. Another thing my dr. told me to take was a baby aspirin everyday. Who knows..it seems to work. I wish you all the luck in the world and I would call the dr. back...you need answers.
