I had been told that I couldn't have children so the arrival of my first son was a complete surprise! I had my first son shortly after I was married, I was 21. My (now ex) husband and I decided to try for another child sooner rather than later as we expected it could take a long time before I fell pregnant again. But instead I fell pregnant really quickly. (I now don't believe what the Doctors said at all). I had another beautiful boy.

A few years after my ex-husband and I split up I met my best friend and soul mate.

He has 5 and a bit children from two previous marriages, 3 boys and 3 girls. I say a bit as his first wife had a son before he met her. But we still count him very much as apart of our family.

I found I was expecting our 1st child only a month after we had started dating. We were very happy as we felt it was a great way for all our children to feel connected to each other. He has been a bundle of energy since they day he arrived.

Now, completely unplanned, I have just discovered that I’m expecting another baby.

I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster of emotions as we had decided that we had more than enough children. Having said that it was my (better) other half who had asked recently if I would like a girl? But I felt with the number of boys that I have, that my chances are very, very slim. So again we decided not to have anymore children.

I honestly couldn't tell you where this pregnancy has come from. All I know is that it has been very determined to be here..

-------------------------------------------------------

Tuesday 6th May

The children are back at school after the bak Holiday, My chicken is on the recovery but driving my beter half nuts cause it's taken over the kitchen :-), We gained an extra dog (JUST DON'T ASK), I'm still suffering with M/S, but I got some great results this morning in the post. My Spina Bifida screen is negative and my risk of Downs Syndrome is low. :-)

Tuesday 14th may

I'm having the worst few days ever and I'm feeling so horrid and low. My car failed it's MOT yesterday and I can't afford to repair it. today my mother in Law said I have to re home my dog or she will report it to the RSPCA. I just feel like packing my bags and leaving.

You do sound so much happier, sometimes we have to make a stand, and she really needs a bomb up her by the sounds of it.
Thanks for the geography of Guernsey, I knew it was somewhere in England, but didn't quite know where.
That should be a good day for you guys, your partner sounds like he loves his sailing, I hope he wins!

On the 'me' front, I am having irregular contractions with nothing really eventuating, getting very frustrated to say the least.

I can't believe the woman!! God! if I had heard her put your child down, I would have given her an earful, what a witch!!
Your partner really does need to stand up for you and the children, he really does, this is his family she is victimising, and she has no right, I do not feel that you should be fighting her on your own, you both need to make a united front, and tell her where to get off!
She has been running rings around both of you, and it needs to stop, you are miserable, and I am afraid, you are wearing the brunt of her bad moods and attacks, and that just isn't fair, especially in your condition.
Good on you for locking both doors, she has no right to enter your home without asking, tell her, if she trys to enter your house when you are not there, that you will issue a trespass order on her, that should make her take a step back!
I am really sorry you have going through this hun, it just isn't fair.
Where is Guernsey? Is it a nice place?
Hey, when you come over, you should come down and see me;)

People do0n't realize that just because it is not your first does not mean you do not worry. I worry all the time. I plan on buying something today to hear the heartbeat if not I feel I will go crazy!!!

Hi again. I have the same problem first thing in the morning. I seem to be ok once i get going but my groin area is really achy & stiff at first (& during the night). I can't seem to lift my legs out of bed! I'm sorry to hear that you fell with your little one. You're really gonna have to be careful but i know it's hard to say no when you've got young ones & they want picking up. Especially when thay're still sleepy 1st thing in the morning.
How old is your youngest?
I remember falling down the stairs during my last pregnancy when i was quite far along. About 7 or 8 mths i think. The worst thing was that i had my little boy on my back. The poor little fella took took my full weight as i fell back onto him before we both began bumping down the stairs! I felt so guilty. I was worried that i'd really hurt him but i was in so much pain myself that it was a couple of mins before i could even check him over. Anyway there was no serious damage luckily but needless to say i never tried that stupid trick again!!
You're gonna have to come clean to your MIL sometime by the way! You certainly won't be able to hide it much longer, lol. I know how scary it can be though. The people i put off telling til last were my elderly aunt & uncle. They idolize me but have always drummed into me how i'd be stupid to have another child as 2 were quite enough. I waited til i had my 12wk u/s & showed them the pic. They were a bit gob smacked but still took it better than i'd been expecting. Sorry for rambling on so long. I bet i've bored you to death. I'll leave you to get started on that diet! lol

Your so funny. If i lived out in the country i'd probably kick them out thoo sometimes. I'm sure they can be a great help also. Mine 19yr old is excited but she has a 3yr brother and sister that was born in Dec by her Dad and Step Mom. I should not have made fun of him when they got pregnant. It's all my fault but i can't wait till the bundle is here. Thanks and KIT.

She sounds like a biatch!!!
That is just not on!! What does your partner say about it hun, or haven't you told him?
I would be a bitch back to her, stuff her, you are pregnant and you can't get stressed out!

Tell her, you will lock the doors all the time from now on, and that she can bloody go and buy her own bread! the cheek!
And tell her to go and clean up her mess, or you will report her, surely there is somebody that could help you in this matter, just because she is your MIL, so to speak, she can't treat you like that, don't stand for it, you are not her doormat, treat her with ignore, and if she continue's to act like a child, I would treat her as such.
I come from Tauranga, actually Mount Maunganui, that is where I grew up and went to High school, my brother and sister-in-law live their with my nephew and my little baby niece. Beautiful place, the Bay of Plenty, warm and sunny, beautiful surf beaches, I miss it soooo much!
No more signs yet, had contractions all last night, but they fizzled, nothing today, very frustrating

chin up hun, and don't worry about complaining, I like to help if I can, even if it is just a shoulder to cry on;)

Hi EmB17.I sympathise with you so so much about the Pubis symphysis condition. I too got it with my last pregnancy. It started at exactly 20wks & it absolutely ruined my pregnancy! It got so bad towards the end that everytime i tried to move i ended up in tears, mostly through frustration & self pity (why oh why did this have to happen to me, & so on!). My 1st 2 pregnancies were quite close together, i think thats why i got it! As my last pregnancy was nearly 7yrs ago i was praying that it wouldn't happen again this time. Unfortunately i'm almost certain it has already started. I feel it mainly when i've been quite active during the day & sometimes when i've been sitting for a long time. It's not nearly as bad right now as it got last time but i'm only 18wks at the moment & this thing seems to only get worse as pregnancy progresses doesn't it!
Sorry if i seem to be having a good old moan but you're only the 2nd other person i have discovered that has had it . No-one else really understands what a horrible condition it really is when i try to explain.

Thanks hun for the Mothers Day wish, I know a lot of my friends had Mothers day earlier on, but I thought you guys would all love to get something anyway:)
I am sorry that you are having a rough few days, cars be such a problem at times, can't they? I see you don't get on with your partner's mother? Does your partner stick up for you when she shouts at you, or does she make sure he is not around?
Not good!!

Wow, sounds like you have a hand full. I am only on my second but my oldest is 19. I'm scared of starting over again.

LisaJ - Sunday, 11 May
Well I'm feeling pretty positive today. Today is day 25 of my cycle. In the past four cycles AF has arrived today, but no sign of it yet. You never know this month might be my month.

If not at least myself and my hubby have had the first tests done to see what is happening. We go to see the doctor a week tomorrow when we know all test results are back. Then we'll see what the next plan of action is!

Take care

I dont think you are a bad mother if you are encoraging your kids to go out when is nice out. I too think the same way. My hubby works on the computer and as a result he is always on it! I know is work but sometimes i miss him and often i want to go out when is nice out but we cant bcs he is always working! so i wouldnt want my kid to be like tht. Plus i love been ouside. You have chickens? so do you have like a ranch? If you do, wow tht is so cool. I love nature, and i would love to live in a place where you see more trees then buildings.. LOL
I think you are a great mother. Sometimes I go to visit my borther in north carolina and he has 5 kids. I usually stay for only a few days and even thought i love the kids they drive me off the wall...LOL So i still dont know how you do it. So God Bless You!
tTake care and hope you are well.

Ivette - Saturday, 10 May
That survey I think would end up showing there are many of us the same. This is my 2nd pregnancy, the first was a breeze! How about you? Feeling better today?

Oh yes! Transport can be a problem, we have a Nissan Serena van, and it seats eight people, as I only have four children that live with me, it suits just fine.
Sounds really cool what your hubby is doing over here, is it is his boat?
Wherabouts is he building the boat?
I bet you will be excited about coming here to NZ, make sure he takes you, hehe.
Thank you my friend for being excited for me, I am excited too, just wished she would make an appearance soon, the D day is looming up quickly, it would be cool to have her on Sunday, it's Mothers day!
