I had been told that I couldn't have children so the arrival of my first son was a complete surprise! I had my first son shortly after I was married, I was 21. My (now ex) husband and I decided to try for another child sooner rather than later as we expected it could take a long time before I fell pregnant again. But instead I fell pregnant really quickly. (I now don't believe what the Doctors said at all). I had another beautiful boy.

A few years after my ex-husband and I split up I met my best friend and soul mate.

He has 5 and a bit children from two previous marriages, 3 boys and 3 girls. I say a bit as his first wife had a son before he met her. But we still count him very much as apart of our family.

I found I was expecting our 1^st child only a month after we had started dating. We were very happy as we felt it was a great way for all our children to feel connected to each other. He has been a bundle of energy since they day he arrived.

Now, completely unplanned, I have just discovered that I’m expecting another baby.

I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster of emotions as we had decided that we had more than enough children. Having said that it was my (better) other half who had asked recently if I would like a girl? But I felt with the number of boys that I have, that my chances are very, very slim. So again we decided not to have anymore children.

I honestly couldn't tell you where this pregnancy has come from. All I know is that it has been very determined to be here..

I'm Struggling for baby names, I can't get that baby namer thing to work it keeps setting it's self to privet So I'm gona just put a few up when think of them. It would be great if everyone could let me know what they think?

Ossca for a boy and Poppy for a girl :-)

We have thought of some girls names, they are Millie or Lisia.

We still don't know what sex the baby is, so it will have to be a surprise.

I am really so sorry to hear about your dreadful day.

I hope that you are feeling better and able to walk. It must have been horrible for you and I can't believe that the doctor wouldn't come out to where you live, especially bearing in mind how close you are to your due date! Mind you, the way that doctor's seem to operate it shouldn't really be any surprise at all...

From the message that you sent on Monday I take it that you are having a home birth? It is great that you will be able to have your baby at home - apart from the excessive amount of kitchen cleaning that you are having to do

Have you had any home births before? I think I would be inclined to do the same apart from the fact that my previous deliveries have been plagued with problems (I had to have a ventouse-assisted delivery first time around and then was unfortunate enough to have a retained placenta second time around!) I think it would have been far too troublesome to have tried to organise a home birth this time around. So, I am stuck with a hospital birth and just praying that this time things may be a little less complicated!!

Today is my due date and there is no sign of the baby coming at all. Strangely I feel much more OK about it now that I have reached my due date than I did before...I seemed to have been counting down the days before today, and now it is just seems a bit irrelevant. The baby will come when it is ready (the weekend would be nice though LOL!!)

I am not especially well as I have quite a bad cold, so I am not sure that I have the physical strength for labour at the moment, so perhaps a few more days would be better for me anyway!

My baby is still very active even now - I thought they were supposed to run out of space, but apparently not in this case. Last night she was wriggling about like mad. Perhaps she is confused about how to get out! LOL!! I am trying not to wish the time away too much as this is the last time I will be pregnant and I just know that as soon as the baby is here I will miss having her inside of me!! It is a bitter sweet irony!

I have got an appt with the midwife tomorrow so it will be interesting to see what she says. My baby is so low down now she is almost around my knees!!

Let me know how your are - I was really worried when I saw your post! How many days is it now until your MIL returns?

Hello. Just checking if you had any updates? You seemed to be getting BH all the time when you didn't want them & when you're finally ready, nothing!!

I still keep getting that feeling of pressure down low from time to time but it doesn't seem to be developing into anything right now. I've never had braxton hicks even with my other 2! My milk must be coming as i keep getting that strange feeling in my bust that we get.

Most of the time i feel ok but at times like everybody i get really uncomfortable & don't know quite what do do with myself & at those times i just think 'I wish this baby would hurry up & come'. I know everyone feels like that at this stage. I just feel like i've waited long enough already! Lol

Well yet again i'll wish you luck & hope that next time i hear from you it's to tell me your little one is here x

Pregnancy...so unpredictable :-) Don't count your chickens before they hatch though, that may just be a little quiet down for now, but this too much energy is not normal either!

Awww bless ya, yep you sure defo needed sum sleep, i think pain sometimes makes you like that.
Then again havin a baby of 2 days old also makes you do that...No wait....10pm-6am we were both AWAKE!! Sooo ummm gonna go with a No on the sleep front

She is worth every min im awake i tell ya.

My Midwifes annoyed me, yea yea ill be round to see you both in th morn at 8-30.
Having had no sleep i set my alarm...9-29 still NOT here! Grrr

Damn these MIL's! Mine came over today and before she got here I asked hubby if he would just tell her that I was sleeping because I was in no mood to tell her what she already knew and I didn't want to be touched! Hubby was like "shes not going to touch you" and I said well then Hell truly froze over. LMAO when she got here I managed to avoid being touched by having my pet potbelly pig sit next to me (my pig doesn't really like her and nips at her LOL) but not even after 5 min here come the questions...Whats going on with the baby? I replied very dry I DON'T KNOW. Then she asked well I thought you lost your plug... what did your Dr say. I wanted to scream! He told me nothing has CHANGED so what do you freakin think I DON'T KNOW AHHHH It took everything in my power not to just walk to my room and lock myself in there till she left!

A week and a half ago I went into full on labr ( mighty painful) for 8 solid hours, The hospital keep checking my cervix but there was No Change at all! The nurse told me that sometimes when the mother has more then 1 pregnancy they can go into labor on and off for days. During the 8th hour I was so tired I finally managed to fall asleep, Hubby told me the min I relaxed and fell asleep that my contractions stopped. The hospital packed me up and sent me home.

I agree with that, sounds scary! Luckilly we have alot of medical staff in our hospitals, just depends how good they are based on the hospital they work in.

I work at the Panorama Medi-Clinic Hospital which is a very upper-class hospital, I can tell you that the ex-president of our country before Nelson Mandela, in being treated here for his cancer. So that should give you a good idea of what a nice hospital I work for, just too bad I can't afford to have my baby here

I will be paying it back for the next 20 years IF i get accepted in the first place

Well, I hope things are still going okay for you and that you still feel the contractions in order for the birth to come sooner

First of all holly crap I didn't relize you had soooo many babys! WOW your like super mom! I thought I was experianced with my 2 and #3 on the way. That is awsome. I would give your midwife a call just to give her a heads up. You never know. and it probably wouldn't hurt to fill the pool just in case. Also for the lil ones put a movie on for them maybe that will keep them away from the pool.... hopefully. Good Luck momma

I guess she is going to they said today that she is so far down that my cervix is being pushed up so I might have to be induced Thursday night because they dont do it on the weekends and the daddy has to go back to S.C. on Monday. They want me to come in Thursday morning to see if there is any change. I hate this I wish everything just went easier, I am going crazy LOL.

LOL.. sorry, didn't mean to cause you pain. I don't think alot of people on here appreciate the hard facts or should I say sloppy facts of what a woman's body goes through to get ready for birth. I am crapping my pants but excited at the same time. Good luck with your contractions.. hope your baby shows up real soon xx
