yay i had my shower last friday it went alot better then what i expected i got alot of the things i put on my registry my mom and dad bought our car seat and stroller some off the ppl got mad at us lol bc we didnt put alot of big things on there had i know that i wouldve lol but all in all it was great hope ur having a good day

Thanks for the congrats. It was perfect timing! I am so glad the shower is over now. It was awesome but now I can finish everything up. I will post pics of the nursery soon when I get it all organized. I am trying to be done in the next week or 2 so I can just try to relax before the baby.

Well I must say that my first was a LONG labor, well 12 hours but I pushed for 2 hours. With my second I noticed my mucas plug came out, called the doc and he said to get checked just in case. I had NO PAIN at all, no contractions, no pressure, didnt feel a thing. Wen to the hospitalas my dr's request and the nurses there were annoyed like I was wasting their time. So they checked me and I was 6 CM!!!!! I couldnt believe it. 30 minutes later my water broke... 10 minutes later and 4 pushes my son was born. No epidural and yes after my water broke I felt so much pain, it was horrible cuz I had nothing to build up to the bad pain, just it came suddenly! So yah, second wzas FAST! No time for an epidural. With my 3rd was even faster. I noticed the plug again, went and had a shower, started having contractions, did my hair and makeup!!! LOL then woke up hubby, we went to the hospital and he ate some breakfast, we went up to L&D&R and they checked me and I was 5 cm!! The nurse closed the curtain to leave and go get my room ready and 5 minutes after she checked me I said "the baby is comeing NOW". I had warned them I labor fast too. The nurse RANin and RAN me to my room. I HAD to push and they kept telling me not to. Screw that! 2 pushes later my daughter was here. No time for an epidural again!

So I would agree labors get faster. I am TERRIFED this baby is gonna fall out!

Take pictures of the letter when you are done. I would like to do something similar too. I haven't bought anything to do it yet though. I am getting a little more lazy too and I just imagine how bad it will be in another week or 2 or 3. I am trying to finish the nursery so I can relax (sorta) my last few weeks. Good luck on your appt. Keep me posted. I love going to appts. On my next in 2 weeks I have the strep test which includes an internal exam. I hope they can tell me something about whether I am dilated or anything.

Thanks so much for the compliments!! I am so happy with the room already. I can't wait to set up the changing table and armoire and hang a few pics. It is not too far from done though. I know I have so much, my mom!! She is crazy! She bought 85% of that stuff at least! It helps so much though. I also have a "baby fund" which is money set aside (not in an account) so it doesn't get spent on anyting but baby stuff. I am so excited for my shower this Sat. We are getting closer and closer. Isn't it fun to do the nursery and set up stuff though??

Hey, I am glad you had a good weekend. I was alone while Chip partied it up in Myrtle Beach, SC with some guy friends. I was jealous but he had fun. It was good timing with the baby coming really soon. I got a bathing suit but haven't gotten to the pool yet. It was hot enough finally today but I was busy. I am very much looking forward to it. I got soo much done this weekend by myself. I washed all of Buddy's clothes and blankets and bedding. I organized everything. All his clothes are hung up or folded into specific piles. I just need to armoire to come in so I can put it all away. I am so proud of myself though. It was a lot of work. I have a boppy pillow!! That was one of the first things my mom got, at a discount too! My registry has been having some issues, the highchair someone bought and was delivered today never came off of it. Hopefully I won't get too much repeat stuff at the shower! I can't wait until my shower Sat. I am also excited for Chip to put together the changing table I just bought. It does feel like it will be here so soon!!

I think we have the same crib but mine is a diff color. Babi Italia pinehurst collection? I have posted a few pics of my nursery. My bro gave me my bedding set today. I washed it and put it on. Your room is starting to look good. I have been working on my stuff this weekend. I bought a changing table today (diff brand) and the the armoire that matches the set. I had good coupons a babies r us. Keep posting pics of your nursery as it comes along.

I did feel special. It was great to see how nice people can be too. So many women have stories of how rude people have been. There are a few good ones out there. I have heard the diaper genies are worth it. It stinks that you have to buy their bags to go with it. Hopefully they aren't too expensive. If it works well I am sure it is worth it. You know what kind of sucks.. I think only about half of the people I invited to my friends/family shower can make it. I don;t know if I chose a bad weekend or what. I should still have 20-25 people. I am also sure that most that can't come will send a gift.. But I want people there to support me! I am trying to feel more optimistic and be happy for anything. Any little bit of money or gifts help too. Chip said the other day he doesn't know how people would do it without a shower.. It is soo expensive to buy everything!

I had my shower yesterday at Chips work. My first shower. I was a little nervous because I walked into a room full of people. I didn't think it would be so big! 25-30 people. It'll be close in size to my other shower! It went really well. They decorated, had all kinds of sweets too. I got a few gifts, mostly clothes and a diaper genie. Most eveyone though chipped in together and gave us cash!! YEAH BABY! It was like $200! We were so happy, had a great day.

No such luck with moving the due date. Baby has average measurements on his head and abdomen but his legs are huge! I have no idea where he would get that from, both dad and I have stubby little legs =) Just as well though, I can use all the time I can get. It would have been nice though to shave a week or two off of sitting and sweating like a pig during July!

I'm glad it worked out so well for you. I have my first shower tomorrow at Chips work. I don't expect it to be that big, maybe 10-20 people. It was so nice of them to do it for us though. I wil let you know how it goes!
