Hi! I am 30 years old, pregnant with my second child, due July 26th. My first is already 8 (!) years old, and is excited to have a new baby brother on the way. Just to be clear: profile picture is from a trip to Ireland -BEFORE I was pregnant, hence the beer in hand. :)
I plan on a natural birth in a Birthing Center, not a hospital. My first was induced, so I got an epidural. This time I am committed to an all natural birth! I would love to hear from others who have birthed naturally (or plan on it).

16.2 hours ago I just got back from my new pediatrician office.Doctor clipped the babies tongue,I told him that the other doctor had said he needed to go under and have some stiches done and he said no that only babies that are older needed to have that done. But that babies can be done at the office, the last baby he did it to was 2 weeks old and had no movilty on the tongue and he clipped there.I had to step out of the room but heard him cry. After it was done he blead for a little bit and fell asleep he then woke up to eat and fell back to sleep again.Hope this helps and good luck. jessyd76 -

Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject. We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder. If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence. You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.comSx

Wednesday, 1 October Hi. Was just checking out your page as I've seen your name pop up a lot lately. I was also committed to a natural labour each time (although was induced when at least a week overude with this last one), but luckily the labour progressed quite naturally, and I was also able to do it without pain relief. I agree that the contractions are far worse than the actual pushing. I always tell my friends who are having their first kids that, as that's the part most people fear. But I get excited at that part, because you don't notice the contractions anymore, and you also know it's nearly over and you're about to meet your baby at that point! About the other day, I am also against giving rice cereal early, but believe that each Mum does what they believe is best in their own situation. It's just not for me that early (I have a child with peanut anaphylaxis - and in hindsight I fed him too early, about 12 weeks old, but didnt' know any different at the time. But I've often wondered if that caused his allergy, as their digestive systems just aren't ready) So now I'm super paranoid. But that Logic chick sure phrased it all the wrong way! You can't push your own ideas onto others hey?! three-for-now -
Wednesday, 1 October lock myself in a bathroom?? more like run away for a few days! ..lol.. I would never hurt my children, but some days I would like to but know I couldn't and never would. Supernanny.com I will check that out, you know I watch that show I should just do what she does, thanks alot!! why didn't I think of that..DUH!! I sometimes wonder about myself..
Not only am I taking care of the children i work full time as a CNA (demanding job) and come home to a dirty house almost everyday!! At least my b/f cooks so I shouldn't get to mad, right?? Thanks again.

Tuesday, 30 September I never really did all the research myself. I have to admit a lot of this stuff goes over my head a little bit. I have two brother in laws who are both doctors and they themselves are a little torn on the issue. They both believe you should vacinate them for sure the main question is when and how many at once. I have a cousin in Cali has done a lot of research with a friend and she gave me her schedule. I like it because my baby will recieve all vacinations but less at a time and when he is older and stronger...I am breastfedding also so I know he has a stronger immune system then if I didn't. Obviously my schedule takes a little more time and a little more money but I feel it is going to be worth if. If you would like the schedule send me your e-mail and I would be more then happy to send you a copy. phonics -

Monday, 29 September I'm on the same page as you. It's my job to do the best I can for him. I was able to BF (after 6 weeks of him not latching on, I had to pump that whole time) so I do. I don't agree with giving them cereal yet unless there is a reason (besides needing sleep, even though I fully understand being desperate for sleep) and the juice and baby food are just beyond me. I don't know what everyone's rush is. But to each her own, I'll just keep doing my best, day by day! phonics -
Monday, 29 September I agree with you about the cereal and juice, but 4 weeks ago our doctor said to start giving her rice cereal. Not a lot, but to start. veroki -

Tuesday, 16 September Thank you for the support. I wasnt supposed to return to work for like a year until we saw how expensive insurance was with adding the baby. Its just not fair. I'm going to keep trying but if I dry up there's not much I can do but make the switch :( I hate it! But you're right, at least I made it this far. jessyd76 -
Sunday, 14 September Tell me how your goes. jessyd76 -
Sunday, 14 September ok I went today doctor seen the baby and said that the baby's tongue was not that bad.The baby has movility on his tongue.I asked him if he will have problem with his speech he said that no 100% but if we wanted to do the surgery to wait until he is 3mos and they will put him under general anestesia and he will have stiches that they will dissolve and he will be uncomfortable for a couple of days. But I think we are going to wait because doctor said it was not bad. jessyd76 -
Saturday, 13 September also my son has a little heart shaped tongue does yours have one too? jessyd76 -
Saturday, 13 September The hospital didn't tell me,the pediatrician told me that he had tongue tied. She told me the same thing the hospital told you,but as I did research I read that he wont be aable to pronounce the N,L,TH and to this early because if its done after he is big and talking he will need a speech therapist after the procedure is done.WSo right away I set up an appointment.I also read that babies this smal wont bleed and that they can feed after the procedure is done.Go to ask dr sears website and you'll get more info.I am going today and let you know what they told me at the consult. clairelouise -

Sunday, 7 September Thanks Emilyanne. Thats what I would like to be able to do (nurse straight after delivery). I still have 9 weeks yet so will continue researching as much as I can, plus I will be having the breastfeeding workshop soon so that will be helpful, but breastfeeding is definately the way I would like to go. lizamafers -

Monday, 28 July I saw your post on week 40 - I'm from weeks 38 (3rd child). I just wanted to tell you that all the nonsense that your 2nd and 3rd babies comming earlier is nonsense. My first was born right on his due date with a 15 hr labor. My 2nd was 11 days over due and his labor was about 18 hrs. Don't worry your baby will come soon!!!! I'll send some labor dust your way!!!
