october 22- went to the gyne for unusual pains 'down there' and suprise, suprise (big suprise) .. IM PREGNANT :) ESTIMATED DUE DATE: JUNE 21, 2008
october 30- first ultrasound - i am 6w 3days &...we saw the little heartbeat!! :)
november 14- first batch of blood work!
november 16- MORE blood work :(
november 20- 2nd gyne apt. - i gained 3lbs!! and got to HEAR the heartbeat ( 171 bmp ). i am just about 10weeks.
december 18- 3rd gyne apt. - i gained 1 more lb!! We also heard the heartbeat again and it was 141 bmp. my cramps are normal, dr. said they are growing pains.. and i'm scheduled for an ultra sound to determine the sex on december 26th!! :)
december 26- scheduled ultra sound apt to determine sex!!!
^ could not determine sex. baby was too active, jumping, and twirling inside mommy. we are scheduled to go back on January 15th!!
January 15- 4th scheduled gyn apt!.. I GAINED 10 LBS SINCE DEC. 18!!!! oh my!! baby's heart beat was 150bmp & growing like crazy! Pushed back u/s to determine sex because another woman was having some bleeding, & needed one right away
January 17- SCHEDULED ULTRA SOUND TO DETERMINE SEX @ 11:30AM!!! want a girl, but think its a boy :)
the baby was totally healthy, & everything was in check. She weighed almost 9oz @ 17 weeks, so she should be measuring around 10oz. now! Can't wait for my little girl!! :)
January 19- Blood work!! (Quad Screen).. should have gotten it done @ 16 weeks, but they got my blood perscriptions confused with someone else, so i had all tests done ( YES 8 TUBES OF BLOOD AND HAD TO DRINK THAT NASTY DRINK) all in one day!.. now i have to do it all over again.. BOO.
February 4- steven felt our little girl kick for the first time!!!!!! :)
February 10- My birthday! I'll be 19!
February 12- baby's heart rate was 132bmp. I gained 6lbs (dr. told me to stop eating junk food, which i am not already) Everything else is going good, she's moving like crazy!
March 11- 6th scheduled gyn apt!
I gained 7 more lbs.......... Oppps. Baby is growing "healthy"!! I was scared I am too big, but dr assured me she is just very healthy. Her heartbeat was 138bmp * can't wait to meet her!!! My next apt is in 3 weeks then after that, I will be going every 2 weeks!
March 15- My baby shower!! RUBBER DUCKIE THEME! *
shower was so much fun! got soo much stuff, more than needed actually!! 14 more weeks and my precious baby will be here - i cannot wait to meet her!!!
March 30- Glucola blood test.. Ugh.. i hate this.. they accidently gave it to me early and the stuff you have to drink is horendous.. its just water & sugar, tastes like a melted super sugared down popsicle, GROSS!!
April 3- 7th scheduled gyn apt. & tour of the labor/delivery center! Yay!
I gained 6 more lbs. Total weight gain is now 32lbs (ah!). Heartbeat was 152. Measuring very good! Next apt is in 2 weeks then after that i go every week!
I PASSED MY GLUCOSE TEST, YAY!!!!
April 17- 8th scheduled gyn apt
ELLIE DROPPED & IS HEAD DOWN WAITING TO MAKE HER ARRIVAL INTO THE WORLD!!!!
she weighs a little over 3lbs and her heartbeat was 150bpm. I also gained 4 more lbs, therefore, I have to go on a diet. Dr. would like me to only gain 5 more lbs for the rest of the pregnancy. The worst part is one of the restrictions is no juice. I'm going to die without my juice!!! lol
May 1- 9th scheduled gyn apt
Ellie's heartrate was 140bpm. I gained 3 more lbs ( total gain now 43lbs). The doctor said she is measuring 1-2 weeks early but nothing to be too concerned about (meaning, no due date change, boo!) She is dropping more and more, which you can tell from my pictures.
I've been having HORRIBLE back pain and heart burn ( leaving me in tears) I can't WAIT for her to be here. Everyone keeps telling me "She will be here before you know it" and "the last few months fly by the quickest"... um I don't think so. I feel like i've been pregnant forever.
May 15- 10th scheduled gyn apt.
I gained 2 lbs. Ellie's heartrate was 139 bpmI am also 1.5 cm dialated.
May 20- 11th scheduled gyn apt
I gained 1/2 lb. Ellie's heartrate was 140bpm
May 23- Ultrasound for size & dates (she is huge)
May 29- 12th scheduled gyn apt.
I gained 3lbs. Ellie's heart rate was 138bpm! Dr did not check if i was dialated anymore (i had a retarted doctor that did not know what he was doing, i swear) I hate having to see every doctor in the practice because of never knowing who will be on call!!! Stinks!!! 3
June 5- 13th scheduled gyn apt
It feels like I have been pregnant forever......
June 11- Ultrasound * They predict eliana to be 9lbs at birth......
June 18- they scheduled my induction for June 30th. I am 3 cm and 100% effaced.
June 21- Estimated Due Date
June 25- Labor started!!!
June 26- My baby girl's birthday!!
June 30- My scheduled induction date (thank god I didnt have to wait this long!!)

Hey Emma, the family is good! How is yours? Wow Emma she does look like her Daddy! So adorable! The pics came out good considering she was not a happy baby! I really wanted black and white pics of her naked and in her Daddy arms but she was not having that at all so I go simple pictures done, and I am happy with them, You should really have it done, well worth it all. How is everything else?

To say the truth, I would buy the pumps that are 200-300$ because if you rent from the hospital, I am not sure about over your way, But I'm sure you know where Johnstown is, well that's the hospital I delievered at and they're pumps monthly are about $50. So if you plan on having another kid, I would just buy them expensive pumps it would be cost effective for you. Just make sure you sterlize the parts and what not after each use. I use the medela steam bags, they are a life saver!! =]

Make sure you are drinking a lot of fluids. While breastfeeding it is necessary to have lots of fluid intake. Next, what kind of pump do you have. A medela or avent pump are recommended for pumping. DO NOT use any of the walmart brand pumps, because they do not pump well and does not have a suck like a baby does. No pumps have an exact suck of a baby's suck but medela pumps or avent pumps are the best. Medela pumps are quite expensive. I bought a manual avent pump from toys r us and it works great.. about $45 dollars. I used my pump like when alexis was about a couple days old kuz i would be SOO engorged it was painful to even move.! But i haven't used it in so long besides the day mark got fixed. I pumped about 5 oz. But i used to pump 8 oz in between feeds but thought i should quit it so my body can adjust to making milk for the baby.
yea once your body gets enough milk for just the baby it's hard to pump milk to save because your body isn't used to making that much and then when you pump your body thinks to make more and if you don't keep pumping and feeding the same time all the time you will lose your milk supply.

By the way, how did your stiches get infected. How did you know they were infected besides the pain?? What did they tell you to do? I don't think mine got infected. I just kept using my spray bottle to clean down there everytime i went pee then put that spray they give you on my stiches.

Wow. that sounds like it hurts!, make sure you take it easy, but as new a Mom I know its hard. We are all doing good, Dave and I had Natalie pictures done at Jcpenny today and she was not a happy camper! It was a long ordeal today! But we finally got some good pictures! whatt?? theyre infected? shit!! i cleaned and disinfected mine like seriously every 30 mins hah. i wa so nervous about something happening down there! we had sex for the first time afterwards the other night [[4 weeks after]] and ohh man. i should have waited til 6 weeks. i could TOTALLLLY feel where i tore. it was AWFUL

Hey girl you look beautiful for just gibing birth to a beautiful baby girl! How is motherhood feeling? Do you like it? We had a great Anniversary. Hubby bought me a Picture frame that says Mommy and Me for baby Michael and I's picture to go into. I gave Hubby nothing but Sex and a card lol. We'll atleast he got what he wanted lol. He took em to smokey bones my fav resturant! I couldn't drink Alcohol though cause I am breastfeeding. Are you still breastfeeding? Hows it working our for ya? is she latching on to your nipple pretty we'll? I hope she is doing good and I hope your well as well.

i bet being a mom is totally differnt, im ready for it tho! im glad you went into labor on your own that, thats really cool! i will keep that in mind for the breathing thing, anyhting to help!im so nervous that im not going to know when to go to the hospital, i dont wanna over react. like last night i had bad contractions for 4 hours, 5-7 min apart, an alot of pressure an discharge, an then all the sudden they stopped but i was going to go to the hospital but i didnt an now i wonder if i should have lol but im fine now so idk!? im just so confused because its differnt for everyone, the on call dr said unless i cant walk through them or its hard to breath thru them then i should prob just stay home, but im almost 3 cm an im 75% effaced as of last wednsday lol so i just really dont know what to do!

Are you going to stick with breastfeeding?? I'm glad i did after the first week it was rough but got so much easier. At night it's easy kuz all i do is whip it out and feed her instead of going downstairs to make a bottle.

We all are doing great! Dave and I have a bad habit of putting Natalie in bed with us, I sleep better knowing I can look at her, when she is in the bassinet I feel so far away from her, I miss having her inside but I am extermely happy that she is here though, and she is such a good baby at night and during the day she sleeps like a champ, she takes after me lol. How Ellie doing with the nights?

they say to always offer the other breast at each feeding but now alexis eats off one and then the next at the next feeding. sometimes she eats 10 mins of each side. I would encourage you to keep bfing. at the hospital alexis would eat of hours & it made me very sore to the point where i was bleeding. once your body knows how much milk to make it gets easier & less painful. i used to be engorged a lot now i'm never full but she still is getting enough. as long as your baby is pooping && peeing a lot i wouldn't be concerned. alexis goes through at least 12-15 diapers a day!
