Hi my name is Emma and I have been married to cliff for 8 years we have two boys one of 10 and one of 6.We are expecting our third child on the 6th may 2008 and have found out that we are having a girl.

Your 1st trimester: July 31, 2007 to October 29, 2007. (0 - 12 weeks)

Your 2nd trimester: October 30, 2007 to February 11, 2008. (13 - 27 weeks)

Your 3rd trimester: February 12, 2008 to May 06, 2008. (28 - 40 weeks

BIRTH STORY

I was due to be induced on tuesday 13th may as I was 1 week over due.I started having contractions monday night after having a show,wasn't sure if this was it has had serval nights of pains and sometimes contractions berfore,so still went in at 8am as didn't want to miss my slot as so fed up and hot by this point.I had gel at 11am as contraction not regular enough to call labour and not dilated enough to break waters I was 1cm at this point.Contractions increased in both time and pain until at 1pm they were every 5mins,I asked at 3pm to be checked again as in quite a lot of pain but was told would have to wait the 6 hours and would be put on monitor at 4.30 to see if contractions showed up.Cliff had to leave at 1 as it was rest time so when he came back at 3 we walked and walked around hospital for an hour as in too much pain to stay in ward.At 4.45 I was put on monitor for 20 mins which I found hard as really needed to walk through contractions.I was finally checked at about 5.20 and was 4-5cm so could go over to labour room.Once there contractions increased more so at 6 started using gas and air.Midwifes decided to leave my waters intact as I was dilating and they hadn't gone til the end last time.Checked again at 6.30 as we were deciding what pain relief I should have I was now 6cms but babies head still quite high so was told proberly no time.I had had the feeling of pressure in my bottom for a long time but this increased and I kept saying I wanted to push but because I had had a cervial tear last time midwife kept telling me I couldn't, checked again at 7 and was fully dilated and babies head had come down,midwifes couldn't believe that had happened in such a short space of time.Pushed for 13 mins and at 7.19 pm Emily Lousia was born.I gave birth in the end kneeling on the bed leaning over the back.After she was born I lifted her up between my legs and meet my daughter for the first time,she was and is beautiful.Cliff cut her cord which was the first time he had done this and had also seen her being born where as before he always stayed pillow end.I asked midwife when my waters had gone and she said she didn't know I couldn't have had much fluid. She was my quickest birth although I had contractions for longer and my most painful but she is all worth it.We stayed in room for a few hours feeding and bonding,then I had a bath and went to ward to stay overnight as it was late and I had bled a little more than expected and they wanted to check this because of last time ,everything was ok and we came home the next day.She is now 1 week old and seems like she has been here forever.We are all in love with her and the boys can't do enough for her,she is very good feeding about every 3 hours and waking twice at night and going straight back down after.
