Me and my sister. I was 19 weeks in this photo and she was 31 weeks. I'm having a BOY! Yeah! We are so happy!!

About You

Name?: Emily
Age?: 27
Height?: 5'7
Pre-pregnancy weight?: Not sure, somewhere around 140lbs after a poop and if I'm sucking in

About The Father

Name?: Thomas
Age?: 29
Height?: 5'11
Are you still together?: Yes, happily married

About Your Pregnancy

When did you find out you were pregnant?: January 16
What was your first reaction?: I thought the test was wrong, so I bought 5 more to be sure.

Who was with you when you found out?: I was in a Walgreen's bathroom by myself. Classy, huh?
Who was the first person you told?: My friend Amber (I didn't want to tell my husband over the phone) because I needed to know how red the 2nd line had to be for you to REALLY be pregnant.

How did your parents react?: My Mom cried which created a ripple effect through the room so I cried too so I'd feel included :). Tom's parents said "I knew it" and tried to act like they were surprised.

How far along are you?: 17 weeks right now

What was your first symptom?: CRAMPS (just like I was getting my period)

What is your due date?: September 23, 2008
Do you know the sex of the baby?: No
If so, what is it?: My Husband will cry if its not a boy
Have you picked out names?: No
If so, what are they?:
How much weight have you gained?: None... I'm the non-cute pregnant girl that looks like she is growing a little gut.
Do you have stretch marks?: Not Yet...

Have you felt the baby move?: I think so, it feels like an eye twitch in my stomach
Have you heard the heartbeat?: Yes at the last appointment. I've seen it on an ultrasound though

About the birth

Will you keep the baby?: Only if its good looking and doesn't cry or hurt coming out :)
Home or hospital birth?: hospital
Natural or medicated birth?: Drug me up. I want the babies and I to feel feel like we're at a Grateful Dead concert :) J/K. We'll see what happens, maybe I'll surprise myself.

Who will be in the delivery room with you?: My husband and hopefully a doctor and some nurses. Anyone who wants to stay by my head.

Will you breastfeed?: Yes if they work, they almost touch now!!

Do you think you'll need a c-section?: Whatever is needed to have a healthy baby but I would prefer not. I have them good birthing hips.

Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time?: Are you kidding?!? I cry at the ultrasounds. Do they have a drug for that?

What's the first thing you might say to him/her?: I'm glad you're not a puppy.

Would you let someone videotape the birth?: No,
Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: Birth, I'm not even ready to be pregnant!!!

If i were you , I'd call the place that you went for your ultrasound and complain about the tech. That is very unprofessional. This is supposed to be a happy time for you, especially finding out the sex of your baby, she should have walked you through what you were seeing. Congrats on the baby boy though :)

Sorry your u/s tech was so negative and horrible. Request someone different do it in 3or4 weeks at your next one : ) I wouldn't worry too much if your doctor reviewed it and said it looked good. I'm sure it will work out just fine. And congrats on your BOY!!!!

Yes. It's that much less time we have to carry around extra weight. Also, maybe it will keep our backs from hurting and our feet from swelling and maybe keep away other symptoms. We'll see. Best wishes.

Did you get your ultrasound today?

I was so miserable with the strep throat, thought I had the flu... I felt so bad that I had to take meds, only Tylenol but still.... I am on amoxicillin now for the bronchitis and can't wait to feel better. I am going to avoid any big social gatherings for the remainder of my pregnancy!

I totally popped in my belly! I feel huge already- it happened so fast. I just bought a pair of maternity pants and will probably start wearing them soon because they are so comfy! :) Cute pic by the way!!!

total ditto! i found out i was pregnant at 3 weeks (which is really early) and started out with twins.. so the very begining was soooo very terrible! double hormones ><

near the end of week 10/11, i snapped at my husband for something stupid.. and than stopped and said 'aw babe, im sorry >< i have felt sick for going on 2.5 months now- and it's taking a toll on my ability to stay cheery' he understood though, and has been a champ ^^

have any cravings? ive been eating mexican like crazy (cheesy enchiladas!) and right now i would KILL for a tasty bowl of cereal :) also, sushi ^^

happyinvention - Wednesday, 26 Mar
isn't it so much nicer now? i am still cranky, but am able to sit bak and say to myself 'you're just being irritable... DONT SAY WHAT YOU WANT TO!'
^^

cheers to feeling better ^^ the weeks are passing by faster now too :) i remember sitting at week 6 thinking 'WHEN, WHEN WILL I FEEL BETTER?!'

happyinvention - Wednesday, 19 Mar
my baby hasn't really ever moved around during the US's we've had (3 to date). I read that babies have their own sleeping patterns- and will often nap the day away only to wake up when YOU finally lay down and get comfy :)
that seems to be true for me, i just KNOW the little thing is keeping me awake at night!

Congratulations! Hope the morning sickness get's better soon. I found a bag of opalfruits (I think now called starburst or somthing) In your pocket helped at work. Also a packet of digestive biscuets hiden in my desk or bag helped. I used to be an estate agent so trying to do a viewing and not be sick was close to imposs. Take care and let us know if it gets any better soon. Or if you can think of any other tricks to help.
