About Your Pregnancy:
Is this your first pregnancy: Yep!
When did you find out you were pregnant: March 21st.... Good Friday!
Was it planned: Not planned, but not prevented either....
What was your first reaction: I gasped...slapped my hand over my mouth and said "Oh My God!".. then I went back to drying the dishes... in much shock and disbelief. lol
Who was with you when you found out: My husband.. and my 3 beagle babies
Who was the first person you told: My mom
How did your parents react: My mom cried and said "Are you kidding me?" (about 5 times... lol) then she said, "Oh my baby!" ..... my dad chuckled and said "It's about time!"
How far along are you: 10 wks 4 days
What was your first symptoms: I just assumed that I was going to have the most wicked AF in months because my boobs were killing me, they felt heavy.... I was cramping for about 2 weeks, I could not sleep at night, but was falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon, and I was eating the crap out of anything that was a carb or even looked like a carb! HA! A week after no AF... I got a positive test!!
What is your due date: November 20th (My 30th Birthday.. talk about giving me the best birthday ever! I am no longer dreading this day.
Do you know the sex of the baby: Not for another 2 1/2 months or so, but my husband insists it's a boy... go figure, it's gotta be a man thing.
If so, what is it: ????
Have you picked out names?: Yes, mine are good... and my husband's suck! :-)
If so, what are they: I'll let ya know once we know for sure.
How much weight have you gained: Enough to make me start taking my butt to work out at the YMCA again.. I've been lazy all winter long. I'm taking it easy, but it needs to be done.
Do you have stretch marks: Not from the baby.... not yet anyway.
Have you felt the baby move: Nope, still too soon.
Have you heard the heartbeat: Not yet, but I hope to on my next visit.... May 9th.
About The Birth:
Will you keep the baby: Yes... unless it looks like my husband... in which case that little one is going right back in the ol' womb! LOL .... J/K .... Of course I will love my big headed baby no matter what!
Home or hospital birth: Definitely hospital... and let me tell you, their birthing center is freaking' sweet. Heated bathroom floors, whirlpool tub, wooden furniture (not cold/metal looking), flat screen TV, mini fridge, stereo system... and the clincher for my husband... FREE Slurpee machine! :-)~
Natural or medicated birth: I will attempt to go natural, but I make no promises... a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
Who will be in the delivery room with you: My husband and hopefully my mom... if she can make the 500 mile trip up here in time.
Will you breastfeed: As long as I am physically able to... Absolutely.. without a doubt.
Do you think you'll need a c-section: God I hope not... I want to do it the old school way
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time: I'd bet money on it.
What's the first thing you might say to him/her: "Hi my baby.... I love you!"
Would you let someone videotape the birth? From the waist up... yes... cause I have no interest in having someone man a "crotch cam!" HA!
Are you excited about the birth, or scared: Both..... but at this point, I think I'm a smidge more scared than excited

Ok, so your u/s is tomorrow. YEA! Are you going to find out what your having? I want an update. Wow, It seems like almost everyone in my friends network has gotton, or soon to get their big u/s. It's so awesome! Also, almost everyone is able to find out what they are having. If you want to find out try drinking sprite; I think the sugar is waht got my little guy moving like crazy. So awesome that you go right before the 4th!!! I hope the rest of this pregnancy goes by quick and easy.

We go for our 20 week on Thursday. I am so excited!
Sorry I haven't been writing lately, I've just been busy working and whatnot. Everything is good, but I've had some swelling in my ankles, so my cardiologist wants me to have some additional tests done to make sure things are functioning properly. He is actually going to meet me at my appt on Thursday to see how things look. Hopefully, it all goes well!I know what you mean about people touching your belly. I am still not obviously showing yet, but my coworkers have tried to rub my belly, and I feel like they're just rubbing my gut. It's kind of embarrassing, and I hope I "pop" soon. I've felt a lot of movement now, too, and my husband has been feeling my tummy every night in bed, trying to feel movement, but he hasn't felt anything yet.

I did go for that scan, but it didn't work out. I didn't have my referral with me, and the place refused to wait like 5 mins to get it faxed over, so they would not do the scan!!! They rescheduled me AGAIN !!!! But I refuse to go back to that place. So narky !! Anyway, Paul and I are going to have a NON medical elective 3D/4D scan on the 17th of July. I am really looking forward to that. Then I can start shopping too !!!! I love shopping too
I have been feeling baby kick for about 2 weeks now, and hubby has even felt it. Yes it is a precious feeling. I look forward to hearing who you are having.

When you submit the loan, if you say the two of you have no other income, you are sure to get more, a lot more. It is really tough living on one income after your used to two, but the first year flies by so quick and your so busy with Baby you don't evem have time to spend money!
Hey I have an idea, why don't you start your own internet business, like the doppler sites. When people put in orders, you just mail the stuff and collect the cash. Seems easy enough.
I'd like to do something like that, get rich with minimal work or risk... but is there really such a thing??
Money sucks... and I want to have lots... so badly that every time I see Angelina Jolie's picture I swear under my breath out of jealousy. Imagine being perfect, born into money, and having the ultimate husband....
Well I guess it could be worse.
Us, we found our next house, put in an offer and now the bank doesn't want to give us a loan!!! Matt's new job to blame. Because it's during his probationary first 3 month they consider that "no income" at all!
So when your out hookin' on the corner, don't forget to knock on my cardboard box. You can stop in for a tea... or better yet a shot of something stronger, we'll both be needing it!

Ooooh! Your ultrasound is coming up soon! We get another 3D tomorrow morning, this one is free! I am so excited. I am not sure if we will get take home pictures this time since it is just me "modeling" for a girl who is in training to take over for the girl who did mine... but if we do get any pictures I will post them! I am exhausted... I just had my week 30 visit yesterday, everything is going normal. You are almost halfway done, woohoo. :) My week 32 visit is on July 10th and then my baby shower is a few days after that. Everything is moving pretty quick now but I know the last couple of weeks will drag out almost as long as my pregnancy.

Hi girls thank you everyone for your concern, I'm sure you read my comment this morning and heres the news.......I went to my u/s with my hubby, kids and bff and everything is ok, my cervix is closed and measuring 4.7 cm or whatever they calculate (which is in normal range), the baby weighs 12 oz ( a can of pop, lol), h/r 154 bpm and I am measuring 20 weeks 3 days, but my due date will remain the same. Heres the big news..........................ITS A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Omg he is so cute and we saw him swallowing the anmniotic fluid and he was kicking and moving all around. I was in tears and my husband was so proud! I got pictures and a mini video on a dvd that my hubby and I are going to look at later when he comes home from work. I am so excited! The u/s tech told me not to worry about the spotting since my cervix looks good. Also, we did not get the afp test as most of you know , but the u/s confirmed that the baby is healthy. Sorry to update everyone so late but I spent the day at my bff's house, but I'm home now. Thank you all for your concern; I had 15 messages waiting for me. Hugs..Christina

Hey there I saw your post...and I totally know what you mean! So now the only time I ever tell people how far along I am in weeks is if I know they're a mother or are pregnant ...for anyone else I tell them in months....I don't get as many blank stares

Hi there, we are due on the same day! It isn't my birthday, though, so you have me beat there. Are you finding out the sex soon? Our u/s is on July 2nd and I can't wait. I've had 3 dreams that it is a girl and the Dr guessed girl from the heartbeat and my husband seemed disappointed. I thought I wanted a boy originally, but now I don't care either way. I have to admit that I am confused myself what month I am in bc they say 9 months, but 40 weeks is actually 10 months? Does the 9th month just last forever? Congrats on 18 wks tomorrow! Any movement yet for you? None here, but I am so gassy, I doubt I would even notice haha! Take care

I have tried the month method when explaining to people how far along I am. I tell them I'm 4 1/2 now or into my 5th month...I just get blank stairs back lol. So now I just say 17 weeks and let them figure it out.
