This is their idea of a plus size figure! HA! I wish I looked this good, but it's as close as

I could get to how I look. :-)

pregnancy week by week

My profile

About Your Pregnancy:

Is this your first pregnancy: Yep!

When did you find out you were pregnant: March 21st.... Good Friday!

Was it planned: Not planned, but not prevented either....

What was your first reaction: I gasped...slapped my hand over my mouth and said "Oh My God!".. then I went back to drying the dishes... in much shock and disbelief. lol

Who was with you when you found out: My husband.. and my 3 beagle babies

Who was the first person you told: My mom

How did your parents react: My mom cried and said "Are you kidding me?" (about 5 times... lol) then she said, "Oh my baby!" ..... my dad chuckled and said "It's about time!"

How far along are you: 10 wks 4 days

What was your first symptoms: I just assumed that I was going to have the most wicked AF in months because my boobs were killing me, they felt heavy.... I was cramping for about 2 weeks, I could not sleep at night, but was falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon, and I was eating the crap out of anything that was a carb or even looked like a carb! HA! A week after no AF... I got a positive test!!

What is your due date: November 20th (My 30th Birthday.. talk about giving me the best birthday ever! I am no longer dreading this day.

Do you know the sex of the baby: Not for another 2 1/2 months or so, but my husband insists it's a boy... go figure, it's gotta be a man thing.

If so, what is it: ????

Have you picked out names?: Yes, mine are good... and my husband's suck! :-)

If so, what are they: I'll let ya know once we know for sure.

How much weight have you gained: Enough to make me start taking my butt to work out at the YMCA again.. I've been lazy all winter long. I'm taking it easy, but it needs to be done.

Do you have stretch marks: Not from the baby.... not yet anyway.

Have you felt the baby move: Nope, still too soon.

Have you heard the heartbeat: Not yet, but I hope to on my next visit.... May 9th.

About The Birth:
Will you keep the baby: Yes... unless it looks like my husband... in which case that little one is going right back in the ol' womb! LOL .... J/K .... Of course I will love my big headed baby no matter what!

Home or hospital birth: Definitely hospital... and let me tell you, their birthing center is freaking' sweet. Heated bathroom floors, whirlpool tub, wooden furniture (not cold/metal looking), flat screen TV, mini fridge, stereo system... and the clincher for my husband... FREE Slurpee machine! :-)~

Natural or medicated birth: I will attempt to go natural, but I make no promises... a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Who will be in the delivery room with you: My husband and hopefully my mom... if she can make the 500 mile trip up here in time.

Will you breastfeed: As long as I am physically able to... Absolutely.. without a doubt.

Do you think you'll need a c-section: God I hope not... I want to do it the old school way

Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time: I'd bet money on it.

What's the first thing you might say to him/her: "Hi my baby.... I love you!"

Would you let someone videotape the birth? From the waist up... yes... cause I have no interest in having someone man a "crotch cam!" HA!

Are you excited about the birth, or scared: Both..... but at this point, I think I'm a smidge more scared than excited

Oh, that is soo cute! What a sweetie!

weenie - Tuesday, 6 May
P.S. My weekend was ok, but I worked the entire time. I was just happy that I was feeling better and able to get extra hours at work. How was your weekend?

weenie - Tuesday, 6 May
Well, I just saw the heartbeat, didn't actually hear it, but I will tomorrow at my appointment. It was so cute to see him/her wiggling around; it was probably one of the greatest experiences I've ever had! I'm actually surprised I didn't cry, but it was just too exciting and completely mesmerizing.
Yeah, my belly feels like it's getting bigger everyday. My work scrub pants are really snug now, and I'm thinking I'd better get some bigger ones before I start ripping holes in the back of them from bending over. That would be a problem. It is seriously the best feeling in the world right now to get home and get my pj's on. I could live in them if it was socially acceptable.
A pregnant coworker of mine was just talking to me the other day about the importance of a good body pillow. I have one, but it's pretty old, and not really supportive or intended for pregnancy, but I have been using it already nonetheless. I know I'm gonna need a better one soon. That's so sweet of your hubs to buy you a gift like that! He sounds like a keeper!
So, I can't remember off hand, when is your next appt?

xx-first-timer-xx - Saturday, 3 May

Ok, all of a sudden your tasks seem way worse than mine. :X Hee hee, so... nesting early might be good in your case. ;) I have also been de cluttering. I am not even halfway done. I have sent like 3 bags of clothes to goodwill already and have two closets left to go through. I also need to clean out tons of stuff from the bathroom cabinets not being used to make room for baby things. So, I definitely have a little more to do than just her room but her room is the biggest part right now. When I get it totally cleared out and ready to pant I will be a happy camper.

kytti - Friday, 2 May
Olive Garden was goooood. I'm sleepy today. I've been nesting the past week and am worn out from cleaning out everything and getting the baby room ready to be painted! We won't actually paint it until after the 3D ultrasound, just in case we get a different gender opinion. But, her room was being used as a spare bedroom/junk room so you can imagine the fun I am having. Jealous? :P Ugh...

I actually lost weight since I've gotten pregnant but alway I was having really bad m/s. Yeah they say the first couples months you might not gain any weigh but you very well might have lost weight and not realized and then the baby put you back to your normal weight. I wouldn't worry about because they say the most you should gain the first few months is like 2 or 3 lbs not very, I hope you doctor appt goes well, the last appt I had they recorded the baby's heartbeat and then played back and it was strong it was really cool, so hopefully you get to hear your little one's heart beat.

raechelle - Friday, 2 May
thanks again Raechelle

Thank you, I hope everything is going good with your pregnancy also. No I'm not really showing yet, I have a small bump but you really can't notice it. That is cool that your baby is due around your birthday also. My baby is due Nov. 19 and my birthday is Nov. 23 and my husband's is Nov 26. So it will be a wonderful birthday present for us to.

hi me again. the doctor did do an u/s at my 9 week visit and i did get to see the heartbeat. I am just so afraid that from the time i went at 9 weeks till when i go at 13 weeks something will go wrong. guess i am just nervous. the more people i talk to the more i learn that we are all feeling the same way ...... nervous, scared, worried etc. so now you probably think i am crazy since i saw the hb and i am still freaking out. like i said earlier i just cant help it. thanx again raechelle

Well, my favorite food to eat this whole time so far has been pizza and Italian. Those were my favorite beforehand but now I want it all the time. In fact, I am about to meet some people at the Olive Garden for lunch. lol Chocolate is the second thing... cupcakes, cakes... candy... my baby is already addicted to sugar. I don't feel as small today... yesterday was just a weird day. I am in week 22 now and I read she can now feel things so she can definitely feel me poking at her. She also wasn't thrilled about the shower today... moody. :p I've never had sugar free jello but I am pretty sure I would hate it. Jello does sound good right now. Well, off to get Italian, heh!

K~teaNewMommy - Thursday, 1 May
i googled 'madame z' its fun!

SO I guess it's true that the worst of the sickness ends with the first trimester. Good to hear you're doing better! Yeah, my heart defect is fixed, but I still have to kind of watch myself, and my MD wants me to switch my OB doc and deliver at a major hospital different from what I had planned. He just wants me to be where specialized care is available if necessary. Also, I have to have a Level 2 ultrasound, so they can look closer at the baby's heart to make sure it doesn't have a defect, and just continue to visit my cardiologist throughout the pregnancy. Other than that, he says I should be able to have a normal delivery.
I have good news though. Last night at work I did an ultrasound again, and we were able to see the heartbeat! It was beating so fast, it was amazing! And the little baby was squirming and jumping up and down and kicking it's legs. It was so exciting to see it moving, and it is SUCH a relief now that I saw the heartbeat. After that, I slept like I haven't slept in months last night. Now if I can just make it through one more week, and then we're out of the "high-risk" phase.
I am definitely getting a bit of a belly! Although I was weighed at the office the other day, and it was pretty much the same, my clothes are getting quite snug. My belly is bigger, but I think part of it might be just that I've been eating more lately. I am actually excited for it to really start sticking out, though. Have you had to buy new clothes yet?

kytti - Wednesday, 30 April
Huh it is hump day?? I always miss my memos... heh... I am stressed out today and hungry actually and I woke up somehow looking smaller so now I am freaking out. :P Hope you are doing better!

weenie - Wednesday, 30 April
Things are going great! I'm still having some nausea and headaches, but I think they're getting a little better. I found out that I'm a high-risk pregnancy, because I was born with a heart defect, but so far my body is handling everything perfectly. I am anxiously awaiting next Tuesday, when I FINALLY get to hear the heartbeat!
How are you doing? Are the cravings still crazy? I finally went out and got my sweet pickles, and they were SO worth it! Are you getting any bigger in the belly yet?

kytti - Wednesday, 30 April
Psh, she's the one who commandeered me. She is probably going to make me walk the plank before it is all over with.
