Hi,

My name is Lisa and my husband is Russ. We have been TTC for almost a year now. We finally broke down and decided to go to a fertility specialist. I got testing done and I was fine. We got my husband tested and he had a lower than normal sperm count (28 million) and the mobility was at 30% rather than 50%. That was a big downer. We decided to try and IUI and that was unsuccessfull. We also found out he has a balanced chromosome translocation that could be passed onto the baby if/when I get pregnant. If he passed on balanced that would be fine, but the unbalanced translocation is when the child will either miscarry or be born with severe birth defects and probably die soon after birth. I may get CVS test done at 11 weeks to see if the baby has gotten the unbalanced chromosome translocation or not; we haven't decided for sure if we're going to do that yet.. We're trying to stay as positive as we can, but it's frustrating. Good luck to everyone out there TTC.

**** UPDATE 8-16-08**** We just got the results back from our CVS test and our baby has 46 normal chromsomes and not even a carrier of my husbands translocation! We are soooo happy! Also, my husband got his wish, we're having a little BOY

**** UPDATE 8-12-08 **** We got the CVS test done last Wednesday, so now we're just waiting for the results. I pray everything comes back fine!

Hey Lis-Just wanted to say I got a moment to say hi on here. My lil one is sleeping and I'm watching the Packers game and having a Vodka and Cranberry...Ha Ha. You're jealous! I saw you were concerned w/ not feeling movement. I didn't feel Mira move until around 22 wks, I think. You will feel the little bubbles, but after 20 wks or so, you will KNOW when he's moving. And believe me. It will get to be so cool to feel feet, hands, butt, head, etc. down the road. And then it gets really old when they stretch out and your belly goes out sideways....and at night when all you wanna do is sleep and all he wants to do is gymnastics. I wish you the best, girl. Wish we weren't so far apart, cause I miss you. And all the trouble we got into together. I sure wish we were able to raise our kids together, and Mira would be able to pull a Tyson Ison on Ethan! I have gained like 10lbs though but I think that is more b/c I am taking time to eat more often now that it's not just me being hungry - I have to grow that baby too! I have been measuring and grown only 1in since 15 weeks - day 1.

I can't tell if I feel it or not. If that is the baby it only began yesterday & feels like very faint bubbles popping. But, could just be my belly moving??? My mom didn't feel her first baby till 26 wks! No worries, I'm sure you're fine. Just think in a few months they'll be kicking the heck out of us!

Usually with your first baby you won't feel it move until later. I felt a flutter with my first when I was about 16 weeks and then not again until around 22 weeks.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling skinny in the morning! I'm two days off 16 weeks and sometimes I think, 'oh, maybe my bump's finally starting to grow' but then sometimes like this morning I feel flat as a pancake!

I know! 4 months next Tuesday! Everything is going well, the belly is growing! Slowly but surely. :) I've only gone up 4 pounds. But I feel great!

Keep me posted. When do you find out the sex? I have the sonogram Sept. 2. CAN'T WAIT!

Well i was never sick sick. I've always been super active, I"m a marathon runner (of course, i'm not running like that with the pregnancy!!) but I keep myself active by walking/jogging for an hour every day. That really helps it keeping the sickness away. I do have symptoms though, I get suuuuuuuper tired every day, extremely! I get dizzy every now and then and unfortunately, I am constipated (eating SO MUCH FIBER every day....it's the iron in the prenatal pill). Besides that, I feel great!! THANK GOD that you and I aren't throwing up at all times, imagine how awful that would be...... we're almost done with the first trimester! Can you believe it???? Enjoy!!!!! Hug!

Hi! So far, so good. I am feeling great, also 9 weeks and 6 days. Exciting!!! I also have a little pooch, one day it's big, the other small. Varies! hahaha! I go jogging/walking every day, more walking than jogging (like you!). It's very important to keep that up, exercise makes me feel so good every day and keeps the nausea away. Are you eating more than before? More hungry? I pretty much feel the same but I get hungry more often so I'm doing 6 mini meals a day.

With my first child I was NEVER sick. Not so much as a butterfly in my tummy. She was EASY. It was crazy bc I didn't "feel" pregnant (at least not til the first tiem i felt her kick!!) You're fine I'm sure especially if they said all looked well. BIG CONGRATS.
