Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

I think the most comfortable clothes after c section is a dress. It's warm enough now to wear a summer type very loose flowy dress. Or if you prefer pants, I wore yoga pants with very wide stretchy elastic band above the incision. honestly the incision did not hurt, plus it is protected with tape so you can't really snag it with clothes. The only discomfort I had was the feeling that your abs muscles are gone! You can't do any of the normal things for about 3 weeks! My baby is breech so far (25 weeks), I am hoping he will turn. My first turned when I was 9 cm dilated and ended up in a c section! Good luck!

Hi! I just wanted to drop you a comment regarding your baby being breech. Did they offer to try an external version, where they turn the baby? I actually went to the hospital this afternoon and had that done b/c my baby had turned to the breech position just in the last week. It only took them about a minute and he was turned and is now head down. It was a little uncomfortable but we are very happy that it worked! Now we just cross our fingers that he stays head down. Good luck with everything!

bring maternity pants, the kind that fit over your entire belly. I had my c-section 13 yrs ago but I still remember what I wore....they give you this kind of "belt" to wear after your c-sectoin to protect your belly. but you don't want anything causing any pressure against it. the bigger, the better!

i would imagine that it would be big knickers to go over the scar, dresses or skirts or big trouser depending on weather. good luck

Hey thanks for ur comment...yeah i know, the lady who did my u/s said there was still a bit of room, as i am a bit small, but who knows! I read ppl's babies have flipped at even 38 weeks, so i just pray i am one of them....lol.! She feels like she is trying to do something down there, she's been moving alot more since my appt this morning....did u notice that too? Anyways i wish u luck and hope ur little one does the flip:)

Hi thanx for your msg on my page! It makes me feel better knowing it turned out ok for someone. I know some babies are small but its just really wierd since my 1st baby was 8lb and my 2nd baby was 9lb so it be wierd if i have a 6 or 7lb baby as my babies have always been on the larger side than average. As long as shes healthy thats all that matters!! (which i know she will be) I know how you feel about the breech thing and even thou your baby has heaps of time still to turn its always on the back of your mind 'has it turned yet'They say you know when they turn but i didnt, there was one time that she might of but other than that it was a guessing game. They do say they usually settle down about 34 weeks but they still can turn right up to d day. Ive also heard people say that the baby turned the day before they were going to have a C-section.You still have time so try not to stress(which i know is eaiser said than done)Goodluck with everything and keep in touch and let me know how it all goes

I had to laugh at your comment on the week 33 board. I felt the same way when I was having my first child. I got pregnant a month after we were married, but the same people who organized my bridal shower helped organize baby showers for me. lol It's funny, but I'm sure you'd do the same for them. :-)

My baby is head up bum down right now, but there is still 7 weeks to turn. My second child was breeched side to side and decided not to unbreech untill about 3 days before her due date, doc decided than to induce labor from start to beginning.. Hang in there, there is still hope..

mommyx2 - Tuesday, 25 Mar
you can have your doc try and turn the baby from manipulating the outside of your tummy...like pushing on certain spots and you being in certain positions etc...and i also know that if the baby is in a good birthing position then it is possible to have a vaginal delivery...as for the c-section...i havent had one but i know that they try to schedule them about 1-2 weeks before your duedate and if you do happen to go into labour before that day then they will stop your labour at the hospital and give a c-section right then :)

lilmomma - Monday, 24 Mar
talk to your doc about all options. in some cases...it is possible to try and turn the baby from the outside...I forget what it is called. Also my friends last baby was bottom first and she had a natural birth. just some options to talk to your doc if you are really not wanting a c-sec. On the other side. I ended up with a c-section with my first....and they are really not that bad.

I was VERY upset with that movie. It was a well done movie, but I just NEVER (pregnant or not pregnant) want to see dead children. To me that's just too much. I think the movie would have been fine if they would have just left out the whole part of the little boy. It didnt fit with the rest of the movie anyway and it was just too disturbing.

Hey! i just noticed that we live in the same city and are due a day apart and we're also close in age! pretty neat :) i read your post on the 30 weeks page and i agree, sometimes it seems like the doctors don't tell you anything, we don't get to have another ultrasound so we've been told, but if i was you i would demand one, i might just do that as ell if i'm unsure of how our baby is.

LindseyMT - Thursday, 6 Mar
The same thing happened to me with my first pregnancy. My regular doc went out of town and so I had to see the other doc in the mean time. This other doc measured me and said my baby's head circumference was too small and all sorts of stuff. Freaked me out! The reason the measurements were off was because my baby had dropped down into my pelvis further. So, there may be no reason to worry. Plus, if you're measuring smaller now than a couple weeks ago... you really think your baby is shrinking? I don't! I bet there's nor eason to worry!

About the glucose test results, they know right when they do it what the results are, so surely to goodness they would have told you if it came out bad- I would just ask at your next visit. I asked my doctor whenever he came back to the room if mine was okay and he said yes- that's how I know that they automatically know the results. Good luck to you!

One of my easiest meals(and my husband actually likes it) is baked ziti. If you don't mind waiting around an hour for dinner to cook itself. I make the super-simple version. Boiled ziti, mix it with meatsauce right in the casserole dish, then spread a thick layer of mozzerella on top and pop it in the oven for 45 min. The last 5 min. in the oven I usually toss a salad with raisins and walnuts to have with it.
P.S. It's really cheap, too.

I don't know if you have a Sams or Cosco's where you live, but I bought a bag of pre-maid Lemon pepper chickan breast, becuase I was feeling the same that you are. Well, it is a life saver. You warm up the chicken breast in the microwave and throw it on a salad or vegetables and you have your dinner. I feed my family of 4 the same. For my to young girls, I boil a few potatoes and serve it with the chicken and veggies. It's a 15 minute meal...Good luck! :)
By the way, you can also make big meals and freeze them for when you have those days...

A fun game is to get baby diapers and put melted candy bars in each one and lable them 1,2,3 etc. and pass them around and have people guess what candy bar is in each diaper fun and a little gross lol

To tell you the truth, my mom and bestfriend are planning my shower. They won't tell me anything about it, other than the date (cause I told them I would kill them if they tried to surprise me!!) I have no idea what they have planned for it. I'm just excited for it cause I haven't been out much since I got pregnant since I have been so sick with it, so I'm excited to see all my friends. Too bad mine isn't until April 5th. I think I'll count the weeks to the shower, and the weeks till the baby comes. I can't believe you don't know the sex! It was killing me to not know. I was literally dying to know. Thankfully, I have now been told by 3 tech's that it is DEFINITELY a boy!! I can't remember, was the baby not cooperating or did you guys not want to know???

Marie - Monday, 28 Jan
I think this game is fun, played it a few year's ago..............you make a list of personal or physical attributes, about 10 or so and have your guests guess which parent you hope the baby gets this from..example, sense of humor, you or hubbby, shape of nose, sense of direction, eye color, etc, get it? It was fun, we did it at my cousins , and we were surprised.

Ya, I'm not all for people touching my belly all the time either. It's kinda creepy, especially when it is your boss!! hahaha, mine would be to afraid I'd smack him if he touched mine. but a lot of people in the office keep touching it, and one day I'm just gonna snap I think!! I know I seriously hope the next 16 weeks fly by! But at least there is baby showers and fun stuff to look forward to now. Take care!!

Forget watermelon! I was really overweight a few years ago, I lost a lot of weight but I still had excess skin on my lower tummy and a pocket of fat right above my navel. Now I've got a large, moderatley hard baby bump, but I still look fat because of that pocket of fat above my navel. It's so frusterating! I just want to have that tiny pouch sucked out so I can start looking pregnant instead of just fat!!!

n1coler0ger - Friday, 25 Jan
congrats on your pregnancy!!!
