I went to the ER last Sunday because I started spotting...scared me bad! They did an ultrasound, so I got to see my little baby move and saw the heartbeat...I cried of course because I was so relieved that I wasn't miscarrying again. They told me I had a small tear behind the placenta (sub-hematoma hemorrage (sp?)). When I went to my doctor for a follow-up appointment on Tuesday, they told me it was just a hematoma, which is a blood blister, near the placenta. This is better news than having a tear. :) I also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! I cried again...of course. I'm really excited that the pregnancy is going so well!!

Well my hubby and I started TTC again last month, after getting the ok from the doc. After one try, we're preggers already!!! We are both extremely excited. I'm feeling pretty good about this pregnancy. I hope all goes well for us!

It's been a long time since I have updated. I changed docs. The receptionists at my old doc are very rude. Anyways, I saw my new doc last Monday. He gave my hubby and I the oky doky to get busy again!! We're so excited...hope it all works out this time!!

I had my post-op appointment yesterday. Doc says I'm healing good. It turns out the lady who originally told me the results over the phone was wrong. It was high-grade (CIN III) after all. But he's pretty sure they got it all the first time. I have to go back in on August 11 for a pap. If it comes back normal then he's gonna give us the OK to start TTC again. I'm getting anxious!!! Hopefully my pap comes back normal. :)

I had my LEEP done Friday the 18th. It went really well. I had no pain at all (except from the nurse trying to take my blood). Afterwards, I felt really good, kinda like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Strange huh? When I called the doc's office a few days later, they told me my results just came back and that it looked good. They said the dysplasia ended up not being high-grade like they thought, and that the margins are all clear. I'm not exactly sure what they mean by the margins being clear, but I'm thinking it means that there weren't any bad cells in my uterus (cause he did another D&C with the LEEP). Anywho, I go back to the doc's on Friday, May 9th to talk in more detail about my results. I'm hoping he'll be able to tell me that hubby and I will be able to start TTC again within the next couple months. I'm getting real excited, but it will be better when I get to see that BFP again!!

My LEEP surgery is scheduled for April 18th. It's outpatient so I'll be back to work that following Monday. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that he gets it all the first time so I won't need a second surgery!! Wish me luck.

I went to the doc yesterday to discuss what kind of surgery he's going to do to get rid of my CIN III. He's going to do a LEEP because I don't have kids yet and I want to have 3. He said the LEEP holds the same risks as a cone biopsy but are less than those of a cone biopsy. They're going to set up the surgery and then call to let me know when it is. So, now I'm just waiting for that call.

Thursday I got my colposcopy results. I do have high-grade cervical dysplasia and they're taking me into surgery. I have to go see the doc on Friday the 14th to find out exactly what they will be doing to me and to schedule the surgery day.

AF finally came yesterday...I'm actually quite happy about that because it means my body's well on it's way to being normal again. One more cycle and we might get to start trying again...depending on my colposcopy results that I still haven't gotten back.

Well I was kind of expecting AF yesterday. She didn't come. The nurse at the hospital told me AF should be right on time after my miscarriage. I've had very light crampy feelings/spotting off and on a few days ago, but it stopped. I think that must have been from having the colposcopy done last week. Yesterday I noticed light pains on either side of my lower abs...like maybe my ovaries. So I'm thinking that maybe I'm ovulating now instead of two weeks ago...who knows. All I know is that I HATE not knowing when AF is going to show up. My hubby and I did have sex one day about 2 weeks after the miscarriage. We weren't trying to get prego again yet so we used precautions. But I guess there's still that chance. Hopefully AF will show up soon so I know that my body's getting back on track and we can start trying again...pending the results from the colposcopy, and/or any procedures I might need done for the dysplasia.

I had a colposcopy done this morning. My doc said that it looks like the dysplasia is at least moderate but probably severe (high-grade). The good news is he said it doesn't look like carcinoma, but I will most likely need to have a cone biopsy or a leep done. The lab results should be back in about two weeks so I'll know more at that point.

2-weeks after M/C: I had my post-DNC visit at the doc today. I found out that the pap test done at my first prenatal visit on January 7, 2008 finally came back...and it's abnormal. I have Cervical Dysplasia though we're not sure how far advanced it is. The lab labeled it as "Moderate to Severe Dysplasia or Carcinoma". The problem is that all the lab people are new and they have been over-exaggerating their diagnoses lately...so he doesn't completely believe that it's as bad...he thinks it's probably low-grade Dysplasia. He ordered a colposcopy for next week. I go in again on Valentine's Day for the procedure. Hopefully I'll get some sort of result that day to kind of put my mind at ease. My biggest worry is that it's gonna be hard for me to conceive and/or carry a child. I'll update again after the colposcopy is done.
