Before you were conceived I wanted you. Before you were born I loved you. Before you were here an hour I would die for you. This is the miracle of love.

My name is Cheryl and I've been with my husband since I was 16 and we have been married since October, 2006. We decided to start trying to conceive in April '08 and in May '08 we were pregnant! Unfortunately I miscarried at 5 weeks. We were advised to wait 3 months before TTC again. We waited 3 months and on October 20th, 1 day before our 2 year wedding anniversary, we had a positive HPT! Yet another tragedy... when we went for our routine 8 week U/S and our baby only measured 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat. I had a missed miscarriage, we were shocked as everything seemed fine! 1 week later I had a D&C. It was the most challenging year of our life!

Another pregnancy blessing was brought to us the new year of 2009 . On February 23rd we had a surprise positive pregnancy test, as we had only been trying a few weeks!

Guess Three Times A Charm because on October 24, 2009 we welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby boy!

Hey Cheryl - I love that picture of you and DJ. He's so cute!! I hope things are going well for you guys. I miss you ladies. I've just been so crazy busy since Eli was born. It's hard to find a free minute some days. I so wish I was home with him all the time. My work is being pretty flexible with me right now, and they gave me a laptop to use so I could work part-time from home. But honestly, work is the last thing that I want to do when I've got my little guy right next to me. And of course, when it's important that I get stuff done, that's when Eli decides to get fussy. It's been a rough couple of months, but I think I'm getting better. I'm just SUCH a worrier. Every little thing has me running online looking to see if this or that is normal. Arrgghh. Poor Paul. I think I was really starting to drive him crazy. But luckily I'm calming down a bit. Eli just had his 4 month check up last week. He's 13 lbs. 14 oz. and 25 inches long. He's getting so big to me, and yet everyone is always telling me he's so small! And that baby laugh...I could just listen to that all day. I don't think there's anything so contagious as baby laughter. Miss you!

It's a relief to know that the nap nanny means there are tons of us out there with the same problem!!!!!!!! Otherwise this wouldn't be created or being sold for so much! I checked out ebay too...i'm trying to figure out how long you can use the nap nanny!

So if you do switch to a car seat here's a couple things that worked for me...first i slept on the couch for about 5 days...with the car seat right beside me on the floor...it was a great transition because when he would wake up and be fussy he could see me, and i would rock the car seat a little to get him to quiet down...he got use to waking up in the car seat so he didn't panic...also i used a receiving blanket to cover the straps...i was paranoid he would get caught in them, plus it looks more comfy..i tuck the blanket into the sides and under the handle...after a week or so i moved the car seat into my bedroom and kept it by the bed and then i moved it to the crib...where it's been for a few weeks...i know i'm not helping the situation but in the day time he takes 3 naps a day so i usually put him in the car seat for 1, hold him for 1 (he LOVES to be held to sleep) and put him in the crib without a car seat for one...seriously our kids can be roommates in college...yours in his swing and mine in his car seat :0/ good luck tonight! i put him back in his car seat for the night...i'm exhausted and he is too...i'm going to try the training every other night so we aren't too tired!

Ladies, I think Madelyn is teething?!?! She's just 3 months... but she is chewing on her gums and yesterday through a huge fit... I think she was hungry but everytime I tried to nurse her she screamed like I was hurting her :( Hasn't shown any signs today excepting the gumming thing... which is weird. Is this even possible at this young age? What are the other signs?

i may have found a solution for us!!!!!! The Nap Nanny! It's $$$ but it's ideal for babies who like to sleep in a swing, car seat, or on your chest...i'm so tempted to put the money out for it since this is our first and we could probably reuse it!

ive tried every way possible, ive tried lotions, ive tried pumping, and it all hurts so very badly. The hospital said he was latching right, but idk. it hurts so bad! im gonna keep trying till i cant anymore, so hopefully it will work out

car seat is out of the crib...and i'm miserable...however, he did sleep for 1.5 hour stretches in his crib last night! of course by the time i would get him settled down and back in the crib i would only get about 45 minutes of sleep...i did give up halfway through the night and ended up on the couch with the car seat so got a couple hours of sleep in this morning...how can a child like a car seat so much?! how is your little one doing???

Oh I know what you mean with the belly kicks! That's why I sleep on the couch when I get home from work. I only get about an hour before he wakes up, so I want it to be a good hour, lol. It makes me sad too that my husband sleeps on the couch. But at the same time...he's always slept on the couch. He always falls asleep watching tv. It might be different if I didn't work nights and we actually slept at the same time. Actually...probably not. I'd want my husband on the couch still, he snores too loud! Yeah I'm still nursing. Wesley is a little boobie monster. He is so funny when I lay him down to nurse him, he knows what's coming and is searching for the boob before I even lay down, lol. How about you? Are you still nursing?
