My husband and I are extremely excited about having our first child! We both have no idea what to expect though and that makes me kinda nervous but people have babies everyday with no problems right? We both really want to know what it is but we don't care either way we just really want a healthy baby! I look forward to talking with other expectant mothers. I guess thats about it for now...

Week 10: Finally the morning sickness seems to be a thing of the past and I can start to actually enjoy being pregnant! I'm still counting down the days until my second trimester though because people keep on scaring me talking about m/cs! Eight more weeks until I can find out if it's a boy or a girl I hope it goes by fast....

August 8th: Week 11: Just 6 more days until my next appointment! I'm so excited I'll get the hear the heartbeat and I can't wait! I'll be right at 12 weeks. I've noticed I've started to get some massive gas cramps that at first scared me. My baby bump is really starting to show already people keep on telling me I shouldn't be showing yet but I am. I've gained about 4 pounds so far but it looks more like I've gained at least 10.

August 13th: Week 12: Tomorrow I'll be starting week 12 and I'm so excited the 15th I'll be going to my second appointment and I'll get to hear the heartbeat! I really can't wait I hope I get a good report. So far all that has been done is my uterus has been measured and all my blood work has been done. I've been pretty dizzy lately I'm hoping that will pass soon. I can't seem to stand up long at all. I guess that's all for now I'll update after my appointment Wednesday!

Auguest 14th Week 12: Today was great I got my first ultrasound! It was so exciting and I got to hear the heartbeat which was 153. It was moving around a lot and I got my first ultrasound picture I'm so excited! I could've just watched the baby move around for hours!

August 30-14 weeks and 2 days: Today I'm feeling pretty good I'm so relieved to be in my second trimester I thought it would drag by but it really went pretty fast. I'm hoping the rest of my pregnancy will go by fast but that is doubtful since I'm wanting this baby to get here already so bad. My pregnancy acne is getting pretty bad and it seems like no matter what I do I can't get rid of it. I've even got acne on my back which I've never had! I normally keep a headache anymore and I can't bring myself to take tylenol. Well that's it for now I don't have any news really just wanted to update my page a little. I go back to the doctor when I'm 16 weeks.

September 3rd-15 weeks tomorrow: Well I thought my morning sickness was a thing of the past since I hit my second trimester but apparently not. Today at walmart I got really sick and dizzy so my hubby and I rushed to the car. Then I ended up having to stick my head out the window and puke since there was no where to pull over it was just great. I'm probably going to be one of the unlucky ones who has morning sickness all nine months! That's a scary thought! Anyway tomorrow makes 15 weeks and I'll be going back to the doctor September 12th at 2:00 I probably won't find out much and it will be the first appointment that I'll have to go by myself. My hubby normally goes with me but he has to go to school. I guess I'll just have to make sure I make the next appointment late enough so he can be there with me to find out what we're having and not have to miss school. I've been feeling fluttering lately and it's so amazing! I've never felt anything like it before. Well that's all for now I'll add some more later.

September 26th-18 weeks 1 day-Today was finally the day! I was so excited to find out the gender of my baby! I had scheduled the appointment for 4:30 so my hubby could make it and then it ended up he got held up by a bad accident and didn't make it in time :( I had to tell him over the phone. He got to my appointment right as I was getting done seeing my doctor but it worked out perfectly because the dvd didn't want to pop out with my first ultrasound so she told me after I seen the doctor I could come back and get another ultrasound so at least he got to see the second one. My Mom and my sister were with me so at least I wasn't alone the whole time. I was still disappointed that he couldn't be there for the first ultrasound but oh well. I thought for sure I was having a boy because I had dreams it was a boy and everyone else told me they also had dreams it was a boy but I didn't care either way. We're having a girl! We're both really excited my hubby said the chances was 50/50 and I kept on saying I know it's a boy so he got to say I told ya so lol.

October 6th 2007- I am 19 weeks pregnant and time has been flying by! We've decided to name her Tori Kay. Tori because we just like it and Kay after my Mother. The doctor said everything looks great and she's developing perfectly for how far along I am. Thank God for that I keep praying my baby will come out healthy.

October 23rd 2007-I am 22 weeks today! I really hope the rest of my pregnancy goes as fast as it has been but I'm doubting that will happen. I'd say the third trimester will go really slow. My back has already started giving me a lot of problems if I stand for a long time which isn't any fun. I had another ultrasound last week got to confirm again that she's a girl. I go back to the doctor tomorrow but I probably wont learn anything new since I'm not getting an ultrasound or anything. I don't get another ultrasound for 10 more weeks I'll miss seeing her. Well I hope everyone's pregnancies are going well! I guess that's all I have to add for now.

October 25th- 22 weeks 2 days-Well yesterday I went to the doctor and had to wait over 2 hours to see him just for him to tell me everything looks great lol. I knew I wouldn't find out anything new though. I go back December 5th at 4:00 I have to go at 28 weeks because I'm negative blood type and I have to get a shot lovely huh? I also have to get my sugar test so I'm already nervous and I have awhile to worry about it. Time has really been flying by though it amazes me really. It seems like just yesterday I couldn't stop wondering if I was going to have a boy or a girl and now I've known for 4 weeks! Well that's all I have to add for now I'll add more later.

November 1st-23 weeks 2 days- Wow I really feel like time is flying by only 17 more weeks! I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and they always seem to catch me off guard. I've also been getting sick these last couple of days and I feel like I'm going to throw up but I never do. I've mainly been getting sick at night also which is new. Pregnancy symptoms are really kicking in I think I have about all of them lol. My acne is out of control and my doctor told me not to use anything for it....so I guess I'm just going to turn into one big zit! My friend is having me a baby shower Nov 9th just for my college class which is 9 people all together including me but I'm kind of upset because I told her not to and it's way to early imo. Nothing I can do about it now though she already gave out invitations. I guess that's all I've got to update for now....Hope everyones pregnancies are going well!

November 6th-24 weeks: 16 weeks to go yay! I'm still getting morning sick at least once a week and I've been feeling little Tori move a lot more mainly at night. She can kick so hard now it seems. I don't really have much to update my belly is itching like crazy as I'm typing. I don't go to the doctor at all in Nov which makes it seem like forever until my next appointment but it's just 4 weeks from now so hopefully it will fly by. I'm not really looking forward to that appointment anyway they're going to take blood and give me a shot plus I get the hour sugar test so I'm really dreading it more than anything. Well I guess that's all I have to add for now.

November 14th-25 weeks 1 day pregnant-I've noticed the alarm clock has started to wake Tori up it's so neat. I love her so much already I love to feel her move around! 15 more weeks to go!

November 20th-26 weeks pregnant- 14 weeks to go how exciting! I'm out of the three digits 98 days to go! My feet have been swelling lately and I've been having really bad leg cramps that keep me up a lot at night. Also Tori seems to really enjoy jumping on my bladder. She seems to do it at least once a day. Time is really flying by I can't believe how fast it's going! Saturday the 17th my Mom found a very good deal on a crib, changing table, and dresser it's a matching white set and she got it all for 175! I was going to give 120 for just a changing table so it was a bargain! I think I'm going to have my baby shower sometime around the first of Jan. My church is throwing me one and so is my husbands cousin. I hope everyone's pregnancies are going well!

November 28th-27 weeks 1 day pregnant- Wow I'm in my third trimester it's so hard to believe! My hubby feels like time is going so slow but I feel like it is flying by! A week from today I go to the doctor to get my glucose test and shot for neg blood type. I am really dreading being poked on but she's worth it. My step mother-in-law works at a NIC unit which is the unit for premature babies and it's hard for me to believe that my baby is now bigger than the babies I've seen there. This all just seems like a dream I've always wanted to be a Mother and I can't wait to get my chance! Last night I treated myself for making it to the third trimester by going to my favorite place to eat it's called Cheese Steak and Wing Factory and I got a buffalo chicken hoagie I certainly paid for that with mass heart burn. If that saying is true about if you have a lot of heart burn while your pregnant your baby will have a lot of hair then my baby is going to have a head full! 13 more weeks to go before I find out!

December 4th-28 weeks pregnant: Tomorrow I go to the doctor and I'm really dreading it because I hate needles but I guess I need to try to get used to them. I've had a pain in my right side all day that doesn't want to go away and it's really starting to bug me.

December 5th-28 weeks 1 day pregnant-I had my 1 hour glucose test and shot. It wasn't very fun at all but I'm so glad to have it over with. I had the hardest time sleeping that night because they took my blood in my left arm and gave me the shot in my right hip so it seemed like either side I laid on I was uncomfortable. I go back December 19th but I don't think I'll find out anything I'll probably have to wait about 2 hours to see my doctor just for him to ask me how I'm doing and that's it lol. I get another ultrasound in 4 weeks so that's exciting! I'm wanting to get a 3d ultrasound but I don't know if I'll be able to or not. I really can't believe I'm in my 28th week only 12 weeks left!

December 11th-29 weeks pregnant: Wow 11 weeks left! 77 days to go until my due date! I'll be holding little Tori before I know it at this rate. She's been really active lately I love to feel her move. She likes to kick me right in the bladder especially at night when I'm ready to go to sleep. I've been pretty uncomfortable but I feel so blessed to be pregnant. I went shopping with my mother over the weekend and I wasn't walking around no time before my back was KILLING me! I thought I could go longer than that without back pain but I guess not. Oh well only 11 more weeks I'm hoping she doesn't want to arrive late!

December 18th-30 weeks pregnant- 10 weeks left! It's so hard to believe I'm starting to get really nervous about the whole delivery part and I still have 10 weeks to worry about it...I'm having to get up a lot at night like I did in my first trimester so it's hard to get a good nights rest and I always feel so tired. She's on a schedule now she kicks me a lot when I'm trying to go to sleep and when the alarm goes off. I love feeling her but sometimes it really hurts especially when she pushes on my ribs. I go back to the doctor tomorrow I don't even wanna know how much I've gained with all the holiday food I've consumed. I'll add more tomorrow if I find out anything interesting but I'll probably just have to wait in the waiting room all morning to find out how much weight I've gained and that's about it.

December 20th-30 weeks 2 days pregnant- Well I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looked good. I had gained a little over a pound since my last appointment but I believe I would've gained more if I hadn't of been sick and threw up my lunch. My sugar from my glucose test was 109 and all my other blood test results came back in normal range. At my 28 week appointment I was told I needed to request a 3d ultrasound if I wanted one so I told them I wanted the 3d and they told me that they give everyone at 4d ultrasound now because they got a new machine! So I'm really excited about that but I have to wait 3 weeks to get one it will be Jan 9th. I was supposed to go back in 2 weeks but since the ultrasound woman was booked up for 3 weeks it looks like it will be 3 weeks before I see my doctor again also. I don't mind though I hate waiting for hours to see him so often just to talk to him for like 2 minutes tops. If it was up to me I would still be going every 4 weeks instead of every 2. I can't believe how time has flown. My husband's cousin is throwing me a shower Jan 4th and I can't wait. Well I guess that's all I have to add for now I'll add more next week.

December 26th-31 weeks 1 day pregnant- 9 more weeks to go! I feel like I'm getting huge and I know all the holiday dinners I've been going to isn't helping matters any. It seems like I can never make myself eat small meals when there's so much good food to choose from.

January 1 2008- 32 weeks pregnant- Well last night was a nightmare I started having contractions around 7 yesterday they got so bad that I went home from my husbands Dad's home we planned on celebrating New Years there but it didn't work out that way. My Mother started timing my contractions and they went from being 3 and a half minutes apart to 2 and a half so I called my husband and he came home and we headed to the hospital around 10:30 I got to the hospital around 11 and had to fill out paper work. I had to get blood work and get an iv and I HATE needles! They also gave me a catheter and that was not fun at all it burned really bad and continued to hurt for hours. It is still burning when I pee sometimes from it. They then checked my cervix and said it was unengaged so I wasn't in labor but you could see my contractions on the monitor and they continued to be steady. They gave me 2 bags of fluids and 2 shots of brethene before the contractions finally stopped. They told me I was dehydrated but I know I drank 10 glasses of water I counted it so that scares me. Me, my husband, and my mother all learned it was New Years from my nurse so I'm hoping the beginning of this week isn't any indication of how the rest of the week is going to go!

January 8-2008-33 weeks pregnant: Today I went to breastfeeding class and it really freaked me out I really just don't know if I'm cut out for breatfeeding but I think I will try to pump even though I'll be staying home with her I just think I'll feel more comfortable pumping instead of breastfeeding. Maybe things will change once she gets here but as of right now I'm really freaked out by the whole concept. Tomorrow I get a 4d ultrasound and I'm so excited about that! My appointment is at 11:30 and my Mom is going to go with us she's wanting to see if Tori is going to have any hair lol. I really can't believe it's already been a week since I was in the hospital having contractions time is still flying by and it's getting near the end so I hope it continues to fly by! I really can't wait to get the whole painful part over with and finally have her in my arms. This going to the bathroom every 10 minutes is really starting to get old and I can't keep toliet paper anymore! Also last night I was spotting a little which really scared me so I went to bed and started cramping everytime I got up I started cramping even more but it wasn't like contraction cramping it wasn't that painful just uncomfortable. I was afraid to get up so I laid around in the bed until 1 today. It seems like the more pregnant I get the more problems I start having but at least I didn't end up in the hospital this time!

January 9 2008- 33 weeks 1 day pregnant- Well I found out today that Tori weighs 4.9 pounds and should be around 7.5 at full term so that's a relief I sure wouldn't want to push out a 9 pounder lol. They said everything looks really good and Tori seems to be average so I'm glad.

January 15th-34 weeks pregnant- So today I noticed I'm getting stretch marks :( I was hoping I wouldn't get any since I haven't until now but oh well I guess I'll just have to deal with it. I'm getting so uncomfortable I just have to keep on telling myself it's almost time I can do it! Just 6 more weeks to go!

January 23rd- 35 weeks 1 day pregnant- So today I go to the doctor and I'm supposed to get checked to see if I'm making any progress towards delivery which really makes me nervous I really want to know if I am though. I really need to take another belly picture but it seems I'm growing out of all my clothes and pretty much all I wear right now is PJs and my husbands hoodies. I'm so ready to meet my little girl but I'm not ready for the whole labor part but I really don't think I'll ever truly be ready for that it's just going to happen. Maybe that's why time still seems to be flying by to me because I'm dreading going into labor! I have another shower this Sunday I'm looking forward to it. I can't believe in 5 short weeks or fewer I'm going to be a mommy!

January 29th-36 weeks pregnant- Wow I can't believe that in one week I'll be considered full term! Of course I won't be lucky enough for her to come that early I'm sure. Sunday my church threw me a baby shower and it was great I'm truly blessed to have my church family I got so much useful stuff. I go back to the doctor tomorrow I've started going every week I get to find out if I have strep B or not I'm hoping I don't although I know it's not a big deal either way because all they have to do is give you meds for it. Well when I went to the doctor last week they said my cervix is closed still and I've made no progress so far I'm curious to see if it has changed since last week but I doubt it has. I was measuring 33 weeks and I asked the doctor about it and he said that at 40 weeks you don't measure 40 and that everything is perfectly normal and I still have the same due date so I guess all that is left is the waiting to see when she decides to come out.

February 6th-37 weeks 1 day pregnant- So today I go to the doctor at 4:15 so far nothing has changed in my cervix and I'm making no progress so we'll see what they say today. I tested positive for group strep B but the doctor reassures me that it's nothing I will just have something ran through my iv to make sure it isn't given to the baby. Now that I'm considered full term I can already tell I'm getting more impatient I really want to meet my little girl! I know since this will be my first that I will probably go to 40 weeks and possibly even over *sighs* Oh well it still won't be long! Only 3 more weeks to go until my due date!

February 12th-38 weeks pregnant- This pregnancy was going by so fast at the beginning now it seems to be dragging by. I feel like a ticking time bomb every time I stand up I keep hoping my water will break well at least when I'm home and standing up I hope for that. I really don't want to have to be induced I'm hoping to meet my little girl before I'm 41 weeks which is the longest my doctor will let me go before inducing me. I go back to the doctor Wednesday. Last Wednesday I was dilated to 1 and still had a thick cervix I'm hoping for some more progress at my next appointment or even better it would be nice if I had her before my next appointment but I really don't think that's going to happen...2 more weeks until my due date!

February 19th-39 weeks- So yesterday I went to the doctor because I thought I was leaking fluid so they told me to come in and get checked out I was only there a total of an hour which really shocked me since normally I am at the doctor for at least 3 hours every time I go. Anyway so my blood pressure was a little higher than normal and apparently they didn't know why I was there so they checked to see if I was dilated before they knew I needed to be checked to see if I was leaking fluid so they checked but said it was hard to tell because of the KY jelly. They said that they didn't see any and that I need to come back in 2 days because my blood pressure was a little high. I had an appointment for then anyway so I just kept my appointment for tomorrow and I'm hoping they'll end up inducing me I'm so tired of being pregnant but I'm not getting my hopes up. One more week until my due date!

February 20th- 39 weeks 1 day- I went to the doctor today and they said my blood pressure was a little high so then they made me lay on my left side and they took it and said it was a lot better. I told the nurse that I just wanted to be induced I was so tired of my feet being so swollen and being so miserable so she didn't change my blood pressure on my chart. Then I seen my midwife and she told me I needed to take a 24 hour urine test which isn't very fun at all! I have to pee in a bright orange container until 8pm the next day and then I'm going to take it back to the hospital. At first she was going to get me to come back to the doctor after that but I told her I really wanted to be induced and so now after I take my pee container back they're going to admit me and start softening my cervix! They're going to induce me at Friday at around 6am. I'm so excited I can't wait to meet my little girl! I hope she won't be too stubborn!

Baby Tori Kay is here!!
She was born at 2-22-2008 at 2:25pm weighing 6 lbs 6 3/4 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. (sorry the pictures are so big couldn't get the resize to work may try again later when I have more time)

Birth Story: I was 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant when I went in to the hospital to be induced we arrived at around 8:30 that night and it took quite awhile to finish up all the paper work then they began to soften my cervix at around 11 which made me crampy all night. They then inserted another tablet at 2am which made me start contracting and it was beginning to really hurt. I was at the point of tears and they asked if I wanted anything for the pain when I was dilated to 3 so I said that I did and they gave me something that made me feel pretty drunk. Not long after that I was dilated to 4 and was ready for my epidural. He poked me twice before getting it right but at that point I was so excited that I was getting close that I didn't really care. The doctor then came in and checked me and I was dilated to 5 then they came in an hour later to check me and I was dilated to 9! I was shocked I thought it was going to take way longer than that. In a matter of minutes I was ready to push the nurse coached me through until the baby was crowning and then the doctor came in and he made a "mild" cut and out she was I only had to push for 20 minutes to bring my beautiful baby girl into the world. The worst part of the whole process was the gushing of blood that happens after you give birth it was no fun but it was all completely worth it and I'd do it over again in a heart beat.
