The baby's name is Charlie (Charles Robert to be exact). We're so excited and really looking forward to meeting our little boy. Good luck to all the preggos out there! See you on the other side!

Friday, 18 July My thoughts are with you, Dear. Keep me posted. MrsBandBabyB -
Thursday, 17 July Thanks for the feedback. And I think you are right, I think all military facilities operate the same way as long as there are no complications. Just got home from my doctor's appointment. She said everything looks good with me and baby. I measured 36 weeks. She took a specimen for the GBS. I'm not sure when I'll get those results back. She checked to see if I'm dialated...I'm not.
But, my cervix is soft.
She said (by feeling my belly) that the baby probably weighs 6-6 1/2 lbs already. The baby's heart beat is in the 140's. I have an appointment to have a tour of the Labor and Delivery unit next week. And for those of you who knew I was worried, my doctor is seeing me again at 38 weeks and 40 weeks.

Wednesday, 16 July Hi, I saw your post that you are seeing a military doc. Me too. And I'm confused about the visits as well. I have an appointment tomorrow (which is supposed to be my 36 weeks even though I will be 35 and 6 days) and then my next appointment isn't until 40 weeks! I'm going to ask her tomorrow because I just don't think that is right. I mean...hello..tomorrow could be my last appointment and I stil l have four weeks left! Confusing!

Monday, 14 July We're at Fairchild, just across the state from you. We went to Seattle last summer and visited the base - it was so nice! You all actually have stop lights! We really like it here, but it's just small, that's all. Yeah, I understand about it being inconvenient to get one of those people to take care of your animals, but all in all that's what they're there for, to take care of us spouses. BUT, hopefully it won't even come to that! Each day is one day closer to hubby coming home. Good luck to you! dmaines -
Monday, 14 July well thank you your info on the false contractions did help. i am also a military wife. i am a marine wife at only 19. i understand about husbands leaving for weeks mine has been going out to the field training for deployment. my husband is actually leaving the week before my due date.... how great is that!!!!!! i have no friends here in North Carolina. we don't live on base but next to it. sometimes it really sucks being a military wife but at other times i love it!!! Monday, 14 July Hey I just read your reply. I was just about to try for the next two hours to go to sleep LOL. Yes I'm with you, I know labor is temporary give or take maxing out at 12 hours I guess. Motherhood however whooo forever haha. I just hope I do all of the right things I'm incredibly nervous. Also I think you said your hubby is military, same here he's in MS temporarily while I'm in SC.(we are still stationed out of Ms I came to SC to have the baby) He is enlisted but is working on becoming a pilot in the AF. It sucks not having my hubby around while I go through this pregnancy but I understand he's doing all he can to support his family. I do have to call him every once and a while and complain, you know just to give him a taste of this pregnancy loving (all of my aches and pains) he's missing haha. rachbaby -
Monday, 14 July Hello fellow air force wife! My husband is also serving, and is leaving on Wednesday for 2 weeks, so I feel you! Although the other wives (my friends here) will be around should anything go wrong, my husband gave me the phone number of his first sgt., his commander, and many of his co-workers who will still be on base. Also, if you're familiar with the Phoenix spouse program (it's more prevalent at some bases than others) this would be the perfect person to contact if something came up. These women are the spouses of the other pilots/airmen who have been trained to assist spouses with issues when their husbands are deployed/TDY. I would ask your husband or go to your Airman and Family Readniess Center ASAP and find out if you have one available to you. Hopefully you won't need to use any of these resources, but just having their information nearby in case really can ease your mind. =) And I took off my wedding rings weeks ago and bought one at Target too! How funny! sunnshine -
Monday, 14 July I have been lucky with the swelling thing...haven't experienced that yet. My wedding rings are actually looser now than when I got married. How weird is that? I also weigh ten pounds less than I did when I got married, so I've lost quite a bit of weight during this pregnancy. No complaints from my corner, as long as baby is healthy and growing well :) sunnshine -
Thursday, 10 July Excited is an understatement! I was just thinking tonight that I can't wait to get started being a mommy! I look forward to all the feedings, diaper changes, crying, etc. Might be tough, but worth every minute of it. I'm working on packing my hospital bag now...got most of the stuff for it last night. I figure I might want to be prepared, considering that the doc believes he might be here in the next 4 weeks. Gah...4 weeks! So little time! sunnshine -
Tuesday, 8 July My little guy weighs about 5.7 pounds, so we're right around the same. He's a little on the bigger side, but his growth spurt has slowed down a bit. I was told today though that they might be off by a little bit because they can't measure if he has chunky rolls

Monday, 7 July I've been having the bruised foot feeling and bruised palm feeling since month 5, It might be a good idea to have your thryroid checked... those are sometimes symptoms that get masked by pregnancy. ***MDelly*** -
Saturday, 7 June I won't get a 3d ultrasound..i mean I would but it costs to much. But its neat to look at others that are in the same week. I will post once I have the baby and put pics up! Thanks so much! Have a good day!

Saturday, 7 June Hi,
First off Congrats on you upcoming son! I Just wanted to ask what week in your pregnancy your 3d pics were done? They are precious. I just wonder because we have the same due date and I want to know about how big my baby girl might be! lol Thanks.

Wednesday, 4 June Thank you! Her name is Tasha and we rescued her. She was abused and neglected. She has a few issues with small dogs and with some men, but for the most part she is a very affectionate and makes me laugh on a daily basis. I think only dog owners can appreciate how absolutely hilarious these creatures are! katya -
