I am a 24 year old elementary school teacher from New York City. My husband and I have been together for 7 years, married for 2.11 years, and are expecting our first child on August 18, 2008 after almost a year of trying!
It has already been a roller coaster ride for us. I spotted twice in my first trimester, and found out I have an increased risk (1 in 85 or 1%) of having a child with Trisomy 18. Normally, the odds are about 0.02%. We are counting on detailed ultrasounds, not amnio, to help us see that our child is just fine. We are going with the our-child-is-99%-healthy attitude first!

I get the same thing, my stomach feels sooo tight. It gets this way when I am really active. I don't think they are contractions, but I don't know. Let me know what you find out... I have been having small pains, I thought that was what BH was...
