Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

My baby Ethan threw fits like this from week one and two and it was so frustrating I would cry to then he would finally latch on and all would be fine and dandy!! He got over it and it is like it never happened!! I am sure it will get better!

Hi--are your nipples flat or inverted? That may be why your baby is turing away...It took me almost 4 months to realize that we were having problems b/c my nipples are flat (I mean, we don't just go around looking at other women's nipples--so I didn't know that my nipples were different than anyone else's). Flat nipples poke out very little (unless you're cold). They are pretty much even with the areola. Anyway, if this is the issue, that might be why he's having a hard time getting started. If that's your case, see a lactation consultant for help--you can definately still nurse successfully!

Between 4-6 weeks your milk supply will stabilize. So no worries about being over-full!

since your baby is only 11 days old feeding every 2 hours, even at night, is very normal. my baby just now started, at 11 weeks, to go longer than 2 hours between feedings during the day. she's been going longer than that at night for a few weeks now but i felt like i was nursing constantly for that first month or so. and during a growth spurt (check kelly mom site for when these occur) they'll feed much more often.

Your BM supply should stabilize at around 6 weeks meaning that you won't leak all over the place. When they are this young, you should feed them as often as they want. It is on demand and in the beginning this is about every 2-2.5 hours. Your baby will start to sleep longer at night, but it may take a while. From what I read, some babies sleep through the night fairly quickly (at around 2 months). Others don't, like my baby (4 months) who wakes up 2 to 3 times. Your supply will adjust, but sometimes you will still feel full. Yesterday night I had to pump for some reason because I was nearly engorged.

Honestly, my husband knows better. Yes, I am a jealous wife, but he's also a jealous husband...I would be worried if he wasn't jealous. I do think a spouse omitting the truth is about the same as not telling the truth. If nothing happened and you are comfortable with that, YOU are comfortable, not because your husband tells you to be, then explain to him EXACTLY how it made you feel. My husband and I are both young, but I know and he knows, If he wants to be involved with a female friend, no matter how many years they go back, I WILL be involved or there is something to hide and vice-versa. Trust yourself and don't let anyone tell you being jealous and/or upset is a reason for omitting the truth. Congratulations on baby!!!

Is he young or something??? He was def having a HS moment. 1st of all, you should already know or have heard of all his 'guilt'-free close friends. We all have ex s and if he is commited and secure he should be able to trust you w/ all information. If he wants to say hello to an old friend--tell you & go. dont look suspect by lying and sneeking around. And if you absolutely dont want him going for what ever reason he should respect that too--and vice versa. He just messed up, and you miss him. salvage the day w/ ur fav dinner or treat and get a good movie to wash away ur anxiety and hurt. take care & congrats ;)

Hey fellow Mommy to be!

If you are experiencing the same pains I was, they are round ligament pains. I'm continuing (at my midwife's approval!) to take a fairly rigorous dance class, and I stopped to rest for the remainder of the class last week because of feeling that pain. It felt like it was my pubic bone or my whoo hah that was hurting. Sound similar? I called my midwife the next morning, and she said that as your uterus grows and your hips expand, your uterus starts to sit on top of these round ligaments that hold your hips together (so to speak). A lot of women will feel pain in this area when they reach for something or cough or sneeze (or do a reaching movement while running in place in a dance class... ;o) ) and they usually feel it for the first time around 12 weeks. So I would let your doctor/midwife know, but it sounds a lot like round ligament pain to me! If your doc/mdwf says you are okay, might I suggest prenatal yoga? It's much gentler than regular yoga (which is already pretty gentle) and focuses mostly on stretching out and relaxing your muscles. It'll probably help with your current pain, and will help to lengthen and loosen everything in that area to help you out in your upcoming labor. Plus you meet other mommies to be! It's a win-win! Hope all goes well! Sending lots of LOVE to you and your wee one!

At 20 weeks the sex of the baby can still be tricky,as everything is so small.Yet if your baby cooperates they might be able to tell! Where i am from the hospitals have contracts to not tell the sex of babies.very few do.Due to abortions when the parents dont get the gender they want.So that REAAAALLLY stinks because i have always asked and pleaded to know.LOL.Course i will love either the same.Baby girl dust though!

With my last two pregnancies they preffered to do an ultrasound at 20 weeks because they can see alot more than if it was done earlier, with the babies development.usually ultrasounds arent done earlier unless there are concerns.
