Hayden and Hunter are now 11 months old, they weigh 25.8 lbs and 26 lbs, both 30 inches. Hunter has been walking for a month, and now he is trying to start running. Hayden is content to watch his brother and crawl around. Hayden has 8 teeth, Hunter only has 4, but looks like he is getting another now. I can't believe they'll be one on the 27th, only 26 days away, so crazy! It has been the time of my life though! Sometimes I get a bit of baby fever, but it fades pretty quickly after a rough day with crankpots who won't nap! We are enjoying summer and my parent's pool, they love going swimming. Anyways, just thought I'd do a little update!

Here are some recent pictures of the boys, the first one is actually from today. They are getting so big and they have carrot faces in the pic haha. The new house is really nice, still unpacking and getting settled though.

Wow it has been quite a while. The boys are now 7 1/2 months old. They both weigh 24 lbs and Hayden is 27 1/2 inches, Hunter is 28 inches. They are BIG boys. Hunter is almost crawling, Hayden is less mobile but he does spend a lot of time on his belly without complaint so anytime now I would expect he will show signs of starting to crawl too. They have both been eating solids since 4 months old because they were just not ever full and we were going through container after container of formula. They love their food and they are now starting to reject their bottles! We are moving into a new house on the weekend of the 18th. Very excited, and that is when I am going to start sleep training the boys. Hayden sleeps through the night but does not nap well. Hunter naps very well but does not sleep through the night. I am also ashamed to say they still sleep in my room, in their infant carseats. They outgrew those at about 5 months old, but they still sleep in them every night. I know you're not supposed to do that but whatever works is what I do, I need all the sleep I can get! Below are some pictures, they aren't the most recent, from about a month ago but I haven't had time to upload pictures lately because of all the packing!

Hunter and Hayden were born August 27th (on Daddy's birthday) at 2:17pm and 2:19pm. Weighing in at 6 lbs 4 oz and 6 lbs 12 oz. Ended up with a csection and I had to be put fully under. It was a horror story nightmare 6 days. Glad to be home. Pictures will be here shortly.
I don't know if I can see a difference in size.. I know the bigger my belly gets the smaller my boobs look haha. I do notice more stretch marks though :( *sigh*
My 37w belly.
I had an ultrasound and doctor's appointment on August 7th. Babies are 6lbs2oz and 6lbs5oz. Big boys! They actually are measuring really big in the head department so I think it may be throwing their weight off a bit. Who knows, I guess I'll find out out when they're born! So my cervix has stopped shortening even though I've been off bedrest for 2 weeks now. Sucks, I think I'm gonna go all the way to 38 weeks. Itz kinda funny because they were worried before I was going to go early. I think my doctor overreacted actually. I guess overreacting is better than underreacting haha. People say movements slow down in the end but my boys are active as ever, especially baby B. I think the only time they're not active is when I'm sleeping, and who knows they could be moving around then but I just don't feel it. I am anxious to get the birth part of this over with. I just want my little guys to be in the world and to be able to hold them and know they're alive and safe and well. I think they've been cooking long enough, time for them to come...... I wish! Hopefully thought they will come on their own and I won't have to be induced, I've heard itz horrible. My OB has been on vacation for the last 3 or 4 weeks, but she's back this week so we'll probably be setting a date for induction next appointment, which is Wednesday. I don't know how much bigger my belly can get!!

Haven't updated in quite a while. Hmm so 3 weeks ago on I think July 25th, I went to the hospital around midnight because I was having some major back/chest/shoulder blade pain and I didn't want it to be anything overly dangerous. I should have just gone to regular emergency but I tried my luck and went up to triage on the maternity floor. They were going to send me down to emergency since it didn't seem as if it were a pregnancy problem, but as soon as I said "oh, by the way I'm having twins" they were like "oh ok, you are definately not going anywhere" YAY. So I avoided spending hours and hours waiting to see a doctor and they start monitoring me right away. They asked me a zillion questions, monitored the babies who were both fine. I was have consistent braxton hicks but I couldn't feel them. My blood pressure was fine, they did an echo something or other to check my heart and all that, it was fine, checked the oxygen saturation in my blood which was perfect. Took blood and a urine sample both of those were fine. Then they did a fetal fibronectin which came back negative. Then I had an ultrasound which showed the everything was fine and babies were fine. So they really had no idea what caused the pain. They think it might have just been babies irritating my diaphragm and also acid reflux/heartburn. It hurt so bad though I couldn't sit/lay down/walk around. They kept me for 12 hours and then sent me home and said to take tylenol if the pain came back. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious, but it hurt like a BITCH.
My 32w5d belly.
I had my baby shower on the 15th. It was so much fun. I can't believe the amount of stuff we got. It was a good turnout, probably close to 30 people.

So it was a pretty successful day, I think I was opening gifts for a good 2 hours. I'm so thankful to all the people and everything they bought it was insane, I wasn't expecting it at all! We got 4 baby monitors so we returned 3 of them which gave us $180 so we'll probably use that to buy a swing. I had an ultrasound on the 16th to measure my cervix and it hasn't changed since last week which is awesome! I guess being on semi-bedrest is doing some good! She also checked to see if they were doing practice breathing, it took a while for one baby, he was being stubborn but she wanted to prove to him that she was even more stubborn than him haha, and finally he showed her he was using his little lungs! I have an ultrasound every Monday to check my cervix and she only does a full ultrasound every second Monday, like to measure them and get their weights. She still checked their hearbeats and organs at this ultrasound which was nice!
I still can't get over the amount of CLOTHES that people got us... I mean it was EVERYWHERE. When we got home we tried to sort through it all but we just didn't know where to start. I think every single person that was there got at least one outfit for each baby, and most people actually got more than one. I'm not aloud to do laundry (doctor's orders) so my mom and sister have been doing it and I think they're almost done... About 7 loads later!
------------------------------------
I had an ultrasound today (the 9th) both boys are now head down! Baby B keeps flipping, 2 ultrasounds ago he was head down on the right, then the ultrasound before this he was breech, and now he's head down on the left! So hopefully there will be no more flipping from him because it is REALLY uncomfortable. The tech said that they're moving well, have lots of fluid growing well and everything looks great. They are now 4 lbs 9 oz (A) and 4 lbs 3 oz (B) and their heart rates are 144 and 147. I think we have decided for sure that Baby A will be Hunter and Baby B will be Hayden. My baby shower is on Sunday, and I have a feeling that my doctor is going to tell me Wednesday that I need to be on bedrest. My cervix was 26mm 2 weeks ago and now it is around 23-24mm. It is getting shorter, but it is still pretty long, so we'll see what the doctor says, no matter what though I am going to my baby shower!!
-----------------------------------
Had a doctor's appointment today (the 4th) and the doctor said that my cervix is shorter than they would like, so I had to move my ultrasound to a week earlier, so now it is on the 9th. I also have to go back and see her in a week on the 11th. I have to pretty much stay in bed or on the couch for the week until I see her again. She said the babies are growing really well and doing fine but she would like them to get a bit bigger before they get here. I'm getting scared now!!! I'm supposed to have another 7 weeks, but who knows now. I'm hoping at my ultrasound my cervix won't have gotten any shorter, otherwise I'm probably going to be put on full bedrest. Well my parents and grandma are getting the cribs and dresser, rocking chair and change table for us this weekend, and my boyfriend's dad is coming down this weekend and he's bringing the stroller and 2 car seats and the playpen, so by the end of this week we'll have everything we need, it just won't be set up yet.
----------------------------------
Had an ultrasound today (June 25th) babies are (A) 3 lbs 3 ounces and (B) 3 lbs 8 ounces. I have almost 7 pounds of baby in me already. Crazy. So if they keep growing like this, by 32 weeks they'll be almost 5 pounds each! Baby A's ultrasound picture isn't the greatest, she was trying to get it of his face straight on but he kept moving and putting his hand in front of his face so you can only see his eye and part of his cheek/mouth and his hand is covering the rest haha. Also Baby B has flipped and his feet are right beside Baby A's head now, Baby A was yawning and getting kicked in the side of the head by his brother. Baby B's profile is adorable I can't wait to hold them! My cervix is still really long she said she doesn't think I will go early at all. So if my blood pressure doesn't rise and stay high, then I should carry these babies to 38 weeks!
29 week ultrasound
I had a doctor's appointment last Wednesday the 13th and my blood pressure was 160/100 so they sent me to the hospital where I spent 6 hours, they did a urine and blood test which came back perfect and my blood pressure settled back at 120/74. The babies were moving around like crazy and it took them about 1 1/2 hours to get their heartbeats recorded together for a full minute. The first nurse I had I didn't like, she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing and she left me with a MASSIVE bruise on my arm because she doesn't know how to take blood, however the second nurse was extremely nice and even brought me a drink, sandwich and cheese, since I hadn't eaten since the morning and it was about 2pm when she got there.
I went for another appointment today (the 20th) and my blood pressure was 130/70 which she said isn't perfect but is good and nothing to worry about. So I'm off of bed/house arrest haha which is nice. Went out to look at cribs and rocking chairs tonight. My glucose test came back and I'm all clear, and my iron has actually risen to a normal level I used to be anemic so those prenatals and iron supplements are doing their job! I have an ultrasound on Monday, looking forward to seeing the babies and how big they've gotten!
My 28w6d belly
I went for an ultrasound today (June 4th). The babies are both 2 lbs 3 ounces. Weird that they're the same weight! That means I have almost 4 1/2 lbs of baby in me already! Their heartbeats were 136 bpm and 141 bpm, which she said is good. She told me that my cervix is still really long so no worries there but then she said starting next ultrasound (I go every 3 weeks) she'll start with an internal to get a more accurate measurement of my cervix since it is so important to keep an eye on it when carrying multiples. I am not looking forward to that at all! Baby A is head down, woohoo! That means I get to avoid a c-section... Well at least for now! Baby B is heading head down but is still laying pretty much straight across my upper belly. So all in all everything is great. I went to the doctor last week and my belly is measuring at 32 weeks, I'm gonna be BIG by the end of this.
My 25w3d belly.
I had my third ultrasound on May 16th. They had to do another anatomy ultrasound because they weren't able to get a good picture of twin A's heart. Fine by me! Haha, happy to see my babies whenever I can. They are perfect, heartbeats were 141 and 150, they weigh 1 pound 10 ounces and 1 pound 9 ounces. They are pretty much the same size now which is cool, they've caught up to each other! Haha. They're positioned kinda of in a ying yang, or.. 69 hahaha, whichever way you'd like to picture it. I feel them kick all the time now and my boyfriend was able to feel them kicking from the outside for the first time last night, they finally cooperated, they usually would stop moving and kicking when he put his hand on my belly.
I met my obgyn today the 17th. She is really really nice. She told me that as long as baby A is head first we can do a vaginal delivery which is perfect because I do want to at least try and experience that. She said that I have to have an epidural though incase an emergency c-section is necessary, so that kinda sucks cause I wanted to go natural. She told me that there will probably be a hugeeee amount of people in there when I deliver, about 4 or 5 people per baby, the anesitheologist, her and her team and then a big old whack of students/residents. So she said to leave any shame I have at all, at the door when I get to the hospital cause it won't be a private affair at all! Haha.
I will be having an ultrasound every 3 weeks now, I'm excited about that.
23 week ultrasound
My 21w4d belly.
So we told my parents and they were really really excited. They called everyone they knew and the phone has been ringing off the hook. Such a relief not to have to hide it anymore. And they're going to let us live with them until the babies are a bit older, which is good because a new house and 2 babies would be crazy stressful. We were having a hard time with names but I think we're settled and their names will be Hunter Ivan and Hayden Richard. My boyfriend has been practising yelling the names "Hayden get your butt over here!" "Hunter, knock it off!" haha super cute.
So I came home from work on Thursday and there were 2 big gift bags on the dining room table, I looked inside and there was tons and tons of baby stuff in them. Then last night my dad came running into the living room with two HUGE shopping bags FULL of baby stuff. I think I've got about 20 outfits already! Plus little socks, toys, soothers, barf blankets, bibs, etc etc. Oh and 2 cute little tiny Ottawa Senators jerseys, so adorable! I told my parents NO MORE BUYING STUFF, then there won't be anything left for people to buy at my baby shower. But I was thankful, I wasn't expecting it either! So I've got their clothes hanging in the closet, don't have a dresser to put socks and stuff in yet but that will come eventually. I feel my boys kicking regularly now and I've noticed the kicks have been getting stronger. And sometimes they'll kick for like 10 minutes straight, I don't know if maybe they're fighting in there and I can feel all their kicking or what, but itz pretty neat!
19 week ultrasound.
Our first ultrasound was February 27th, I was 12w4d and we found out that there were two little babies in there! Huge shock! Twins!
There are a lot of weird connections/coincidences with this pregnancy. My uncle and grandfather both passed away in January, my uncle had twins, the babies are due on/around my grandpa's birthday, and the babies are two boys. It is weird how new life begins eh?
Found out April 13th that we are having two little boys. We now face the challenge of naming them! We have decided their middle names will be Richard and Ivan after my grandpa and uncle that just recently passed away.
We are telling my parents this coming Sunday, wish us luck! We both live with them, so hopefully we won't get booted out because twins = expensive! We are going to ask my neighbours to be the godparents, they are like my second set of parents and have been there for me every step of the way through my life and I'm sure they will be overjoyed!
I've got 2 sisters and a brother so I know these little ones will be spoiled rotten, not to mention they'll be the first grandchildren for my parents and my boyfriend's. Lots of free babysitting too! My brother is only 12 so he'll be a young uncle which I think will work out great with the babies being boys!
12 week ultrasound
I like this one it is cute and funny.
