Hi everyone, I'm new to this VIP thing so I'm a little unsure of what I'm doing. I think it's really awesome to read week to week of our pregnancies and to see the changes going on with both us mommies and our little babies!
My husband and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary April 14th - only 6 weeks before our little guy is due to arrive! We are so excited and cannot wait to see him! I knew from the begining we were having a boy - it was everyone else who said it was a girl! I guess you can't mess with mom's intuition!
The first 20 weeks of my pregnancy was pretty terrible, I was constantly throwing up and lost weight. However, every time we had an ultrasound this little one was very active and always growing bigger. We aren't getting any more ultrasounds from my OB/GYN so we are going for a 3D one next week and cannot wait. It is amazing how real they come out!
The anticipation is getting higher and higher and May 28th can not come quick enough!

FINALLY!!! Talk about a major screwup with the doctors there huh?? At least he is finally here and healthy. How are you feeling? Isn't being a mommy amazing? I couldn't stop staring at my son when he was born, I was like ok, when am I going to wake up? LOL. It's so weird to see yourself looking back at you isnt it? He is sooooo beautiful girl. So precious!! CONGRATS NEW MOMMY!!!!

WOW!! That is quite a labor story there! I'm sorry that things were so crazy for you your first time. If it makes you feel any better when I was pregnant with my 1st the hospital didn't believe I was pregnant because they said if I was having contractions every 4 mins like the monitor said then I would be in more pain. The problem was was that I was having contractions like that for almost 8 weeks at that point so I just learned to ignore them. They actually sent me HOME!! I knew I was in labor so I checked myself into another hospital in the city I live in and had my son 4 HOURS later. Can you imagine if I had gone home?? I would have had him at home!!!
Your son is beautiful and now that you look back on it, i'm sure it was worth all the pain and aggrevation! Best of luck to you and your family!

oh so they do fade! i have a few stretchmarks on my upper thigh and boobs from a previous pregnancy (long story) and so i no how the bloody things work, but i thought belly stretchmarks from pregnant buddah bellies would stay lookin mingin. i am so shocked with mine :( i didnt get any since maybe, week 33! i was really excited and thought maybe i was one of the lucky ones that might not get them! but no... obviously my dreams didnt come true! *cries* lol xxx

My guilty pleasure lately has been mint chocolate chip icecream and salt and vinegar chips.
I don't eat around my hubby though b/c it makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason. Possibly b/c I can put "more food away" then him now and I just feel nasty LOL.
I hope it all goes good for you!! I'm jealous. I wish I were at the end too......

This pregnancy has been pretty rough. I had really bad morning sickness and with my husband being a raging prick b/c of work I haven't really enjoyed this pregnancy at all. Sometimes I wish I had waited a little while longer to get pregnant again if at all. But then I see my growing belly and wouldn't have it any other way.
My water broke with my daughter as we were arguing about how I didn't feel right and felt we had to go to the hospital and my husband screaming that he wasn't going to miss work for "this shit." LOL. Then all of a sudden there was a splash on the bathroom floor (literally). He told me that I better not have just peed myself (which I knew that I hadn't).
I'm sure your labor and delivery will go just fine. I did both my 2 natural with only one shot of nubane to take the edge off the contractions. I'm not a fan of big needles in my spine. Good luck!!!! Your baby is going to be beautiful and all the waiting will be well worth it when you hold that baby for the first time. You forget about everything you went through the last 9 months.

thats good to know cause i was a little worried since the doc said about 48 hrs and now its 6 days later and nothing.
i go back to see him tomorrow, so hopefuly not much longer.
i hope i have him natural but to be induced is sounding so good right now!

Good luck with your induction. I practically had to be induced cuz my body wasn't keeping consistent contractions after my water broke :( It sucked, but I know you can do it!!

I have a boy who is 4 1/2 and a daughter is 7 months old. I'm 3 months with this one so we didn't waste anytime LOL. My hubby is active duty. He has been in for 9 years and is a ssgt. We are located in upstate NY while he's on recruiting duty. It's horrible!! I see him pretty much on Sundays b/c their work hours or horrendous!! He goes to work around 7 a.m. and doesn't get home most nights until 11 or so at night. It's hard on me with the 2 little ones by myself all the time so I'm pretty stressed out if you can imagine!!
I feel so bad that you are overdue. I had both my kids at 38 weeks. My OBGYN stripped my membranes with my daughter and said "If you don't go into labor tonight I'll be suprised." Well that night I ddin't have any contractions but sure enough the next morning I woke up at 5 am b/c I just didn't feel right so I got up to go to the bathroom and as I was going to sit down my water broke EVERYWHERE!! I'm serious when I tell you that you will know when it happens. It's like you are peeing yourself but can't stop it, it's disgusting LOL.

yeah i no i have a hairy belly, my bf says im lookin like more than a man than he does, beer hairy belly and cankles lol. i have recently noticed that im gettin quite puffier, like all over my body, especialy my legs, they look like they arent mine! i think tis water and also the heat as well. grr! gay! i have a nice little puddle of stretchmarks at the bottom of my belly, thy look totally rank and i even tryed to hide em with foundation but failed :( growin sum lovely ones on my upper thighs, right at the top too.. yay oh yay 4 me! arent i the lucky one.. oh well my friend is pregnant and shes only 14 weeks, she has this to come and i can laugh at her to make myself feel better lol... knowin my luck shes guna be one of these Bit**s that doesnt get anythin bad! xx

lol yeah i bet! me and my bf were talkin the other day, and were not jus guna be a couple. were guna be a family! omg! wtf!!! yeah i talk to my lil lad, actually i get in a gay mood sometimes and just say "cooey" in a high pitched voice to which he reacts. i dnt know if thats a good or a bad thing!!! wow week 40, id be shittin bricks! i am now and im week 35, nearly 36 (had to add the "nearly 36" part in coz it jus sounds more.... pregnant!) do u have much stretchies? can i ask 1 question... how much bigger do u grow from week 35 to week 40? xx

aww bless but at least u have a definate date and ur not just relying on ur due date to be near enuff acurate coz about 1% of births arrive on due dates probably!! me n the bf like the name kody. i have even said kody to him once or twice coz sumtyms i tlk to the bump haha .. lol! and he doesnt respond, not that i was expecting him to be like "yes mum.. u called?".. but oh well, tough!! xx

I'm trying not to be too all-consumed with thoughts of when I will go into labor, but I'm not really sure if that is possible! I really thought I would be delivering before my due date this time, too, since I had several bouts with preterm labor. This one is proving me wrong, though! My first was 13 days late (yes, the longest two weeks of my life) and my second was 3 days late, so we'll see whether this one decides to be like siblings or not. :) Congrats on a little boy! They are SO much fun (of course girls are, too!) Here's wishing you a labor that stars soon!

Thanks, I'm gonna need all the luck that I can get! As for things going perfectly, well, I'm not so sure that will be happening as L&D already called me this morning and said I've been bumped due to capacity issues. Now I have to wait for them to call me back and tell me that I have a bed ready. Now I'm kinda back to the waiting game, just like I was doing before I found out that I'm getting induced! lol Thanks again though.. I hope the rest of the day works out well.

The length of an NST varies depending on whether the baby is awake/active and how "reassuring" the results are. If baby is moving around and the heart rate response is good it should take 30 minutes or less. If the baby is being stubborn or sleepy, they may use a buzzer to wake him/her up, or have you drink some juice, etc., and wait until they have enough movements within a certain amount of time to interpret the data. The longest any of mine have ever taken is about 45 minutes or so. Hope this helps! (And best wishes!)

My hubby does that too! He'll say something, and if I give him a dirty look or am a smartass right back to him, he's like "babe! I was just kidding =]" GRR! It bugs me. I'm always like No you weren't! You were serious! And then he usually gets punched ahahah.
My next appt is wednesday.. and I'm telling you.. I BETTER NOT MAKE IT THERE! That's the 28th! That's basically June! I better not make it into June, either!

I've noticed a lot more "weird" feelings, too. I wish I knew what was going on! Today, me and hubby went for a long walk in the park. I thought for sure I was going into labor. I was having contractions, and it felt like she was literally hanging out.. I wanted to shove my hand down my pants to make sure she wasn't! It was so weird. And then I'd have these really sharp pains shoot across my lower belly & back, and it was just really hard for me to walk! But I'm still here.. :(
Maybe something will happen tonight!!

u and me both!!! i cant wait to sleep on my belly again cuz i could probably actually sleep for once, well when my baby is sleepin of course! but the day i sleep on my belly i will be knocked out for sure
