Monday, 21 April Hi there, my pregnancy is going pretty well. I'm definitely hitting the 3rd trimester "tiredness" and swelling, but I really can't complain. Overall this has been a pretty easy pregnancy. Less than 8 wks now - yahoo! Hope all is going well w/ you too! ggfirsttime -
Sunday, 16 Mar It is comforting to know that I am not the only one struggling with weight gain either...It feels like even after I eat, I think about what I'm gonna eat next...so weird. People I know even commented that they have not seen me have this much appetite ever.. I try to limit my sugar intake but it is hard. I try to eat low calorie snacks...and fruits. sassybuttaphly -

Sunday, 9 Mar I just read your comment. I put on a total of 19 pounds and I'm 22 weeks. I gained most of it within 2 1/2 months..I don't know how... My OB doesn't seem to be worried about my weight gain just yet but said I should limit it to 1 pound a week from now on...I work about 12-13 hour days right now until April 15th and also I work 1/2 day on Saturdays. So I feel pretty tired to do any exercise after I come home...it is a challenge. My OB recommended to increase my protein intake which is supposed to make you less hungry. My craving is chips right now, which is sooo bad for you. Good luck! shazia -
Sunday, 9 Mar I'm 5'6' and weighed 129 when i got pregnant. I've gained 15 lbs so far. A fluctuation of about 3lbs is supposed to be normal from morning to night. My OB said, I don't need to eat as much as I have been (though it's hard not to)! I started brisk walking on my treadmill and am *trying* to not eat too much (had cheesecake today, though, so i'll try to be good tomorrow)! Good luck! s presea -
Wednesday, 5 Mar Yay! Glad you can feel your little one move and kick now! :) it only gets better though...last night, i felt my baby's foot move from the bottom of my navel up to the top of my belly - it was a fantastic feeling! Cant wait until next moth to see its foot stick out! haha x buninoven -

Saturday, 16 Feb Hello! My placenta is in the front as well but i can still feel my baby kick when i'm lying down at times. As your baby will get bigger, you will feel it eventually. It will keep moving to different positions anyway. deerwendy -
Saturday, 9 Feb Thank you for your comments about people's reactions to the baby. You are right about people being one way or the other. I just don't get it! I guess if I were 24 or 25 it would be all positive, but over 35 and you are ready to be rolled off to the nursing home and how dare you take a child with you!! I am very excited for this blessing and I can't believe I've been given another chance; not everyone has this chance. My husband and daughters' are very excited (except the little one is not thrilled about not being the baby anymore) and we are looking forward to every new week and every new thing. It is almost like I am a first time mom again with a small fan club.
Maybe it is silly to expect people to happy because I am happy. I guess it will just have to be one of those things you chalk-up to experience.
Thank you again, and good luck and congratulations!! oldie44 -
Saturday, 9 Feb I am glad it is over for you. I am anxious to find my results on Tuesday or Wednesday. These 2 weeks stretch forever! Once this will be behind, the next superimportant step is level 2 u/s in 3 weeks. Maybe then I will be able to relax? I want to hope so. oldie44 -
Friday, 8 Feb How did your amnio go? Seems like many of us went for it these couple of weeks. teenMOMMIE -

Friday, 18 Jan I just read your post. I have been having cravings like crazy. I swear once I start eating I just can't stop! I am craving lots of sweets. Mainly chocolate. It worried me because I read somewhere that craving chocolate could mean I need more protein in my regular diet, but you can't believe everything or it doesn't necessarily mean you do need protein. So I tried to eat more lean meats, but still craving the sweets. So I think this baby is just a sweet lover. I also never really ate much sweets before let alone wanted any. Well, I just wanted to tell you I feel the same. I guess it's our chance to splurge a little and enjoy! Congrats to you on your pregnancy! oldie44 -

Saturday, 29 Dec Congratulations on getting your PhD in Clinical Psychology. I am in a masters program, but my husband has a PhD in Biochemistry, so I have a window into the kind of dedication and perseverance it takes to get that kind of degree. Happy Holidays. :) BriBri1978 -
Friday, 28 Dec Awww, I am sorry to hear that. I had the flu for about a week, just took my last antibiotic pill on Monday. It worked though, I was miserable for a week and a 1/2 though. I hope you guys (you and baby) feel better soon. That's just what my Dr. said too, 'you NEVER stay sick, you call me, if you are sick the baby is sick!' I was scared of meds and didn't call her, just showed up to my appt sick and she tripped on me... Leave a message for firsttimemommysf in the right column where it reads `Add comment`
