Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that I won't be on as much. Nothing is wrong, I just do better when I visit here every 4 days or so instead of everyday. We are well with the exception of my husband working 6 days a week and not having any family time. Today (sunday) is supposed to be our day together, but he's at work. I'm hoping he's feeling okay when he gets off and maybe if it's not too late, he, Mo, and I can go for a drive and then later him and I to a movie. Work is cool and I'm only one month away from starting school. I know what I want to be when I grow up....A TEACHER! I don't want to be a server when I'm 50. I only need 4 courses for my AA and then I can start my work for my BA in elementary education. I'M SCARED TO DEATH, but I know if it's meant to be, G-d will see to it. Mo is 7 months old now and is an official crawler! He only scoots every now and again. He was standing up in his crib this morning and I just about died! He was more on his toes, but it was so cute! Looks like he may be walking soon. I haven't breastfed in nearly a month and a half and it's odd, I do miss it. What a closeness Mo and I had while I was doing it. We still have that bond, but breastfeeding made it even more special. I haven't had a period in about 3 months now, but I did bleed for about a day and a half last month. I'm going to talk to my OB if I don't see a cycle once I hit the green pills on my BC. Of course I'm not pregnant, no signs whatsoever. And I know what they mean when they say, once you've been pregnant, you know instantly the next time you are. I took 2 tests over 2 months and of course BFN and I'm okay with that. I want to enjoy Mo for a little while longer. And this house just isn't big enough for another little one. Our stimulus check arrived on July 7th and it was SO NICE to finally receive it. Money was low and now we're on the high end once again and I'm hoping it stays that way for a bit. Well, let me go, my little man has been in his activity center long enough watching Baby Einstein. He's such a good boy...even if he does wake up at 2:45 in the AM and doesn't go down again til nearly 4AM! Oh I was MAD this AM because I was SO tired. I put him back in his crib because I was upset and a few minutes later hubby stepped in and took over. I didn't hear him again til 6am and I was okay with that. Got him a bottle and he fell asleep about 30 minutes later and we BOTH slept til nearly 8:30!
Hope all you guys are well. Be blessed and take care!

Elijah is beautiful!! He's so alert! Everything is going great for us here...we couldn't be happier! So how are things going there?

blessedbaby - Friday, 18 July
Thanks! Being a new mommy is wonderful and tiresome. I don't know about you but I am sleepy. I'm surprised I can type this message. I love him to death though.

phonics - Thursday, 17 July
I gave birth on the 6th. My labor was 7 hours and painful with the epi as well. They said it was pressure. Pressure my behind! lol. I went into labor at 7:41 with painful contractions out of nowhere. They started at 7 minutes apart and in 30 minutes were 4 minutes apart. I was in the hospital on the floor when we got there and they had to pick me up and put me in a wheelchair to get me to the labor room.

I am ok though. Still a bit sore in most of my muscles if I don't take my meds. Didn't get off to a good start nursing so I am having a hard time building up my milk supply.

How are you doing? Tell me about your labor.

BTW - Your little man is adorable!

Did you have the baby yet if so details please is hot still in your area? I am sooo tired of the stupid smoke

Mo turned 7 months on the 4th of July! Where the heck did the time go??? He's such a BIG boy now! Although we had trouble in the Walmart buggy today. Don't think mommy had his little belt placed correctly. He fell to the side twice, but luckily never hit his head. He's in his new Britax car seat and it's SO much easier getting him in and out. I wanted to buy myself something for my birthday on Friday, but Walmart didn't have the DVD I wanted so I purchased some more clothes for Mo. If I can't buy for me then I will ALWAYS buy for Mo. I got him a puzzle that makes sounds when you put the pieces back in. It's so neat. It's called Farm Animals Puzzle. Got it for $10 at BELK'S.
I hope all of you are well. Take care!

Congratulations!

congrats!!! so i see spicy food really works, huh?? my doc told me to eat spicy food. maybe i should try it!! LOL

Nesspop - Tuesday, 1 July
I made Spaghetti Bolognaise, Coconut chicken curry, Curried sausages, Chicken Chasurre, Lamb shank & vegie soup.

It is Winter here, so it is easy to cook up warm meals. If you are in the states or Uk it would be warmer so I would be eating lots of salads & fish or bbq meat. Quiche can be eaten warm or cold. pasta salads are also easy.

Hope this helps

It's a thought, but my mom is going to come up for a week after the baby is born and I'm not working and I barely sleep now, so I'm pretty used to it. Plus, Danny will be sharing responsibilities, and let's not forget, I'm sure I'll have the in-laws around a lot too to bring food over if things get that hectic!! I don't know, we'll see. It's almost time for both of us, for our sanity, I hope its sooner than later!!!

I am hanging. That is all I can say. I walked around for a few hours at the zoo yesterday and still nothing. She is being so stubborn! I have everything that I need, but there are a few things I would like for the decorating of the nursery. lol funny. My left side aches. I think she is sitting on or playing with a nerve somewhere. It hurts when I walk and then I have to keep it from going to sleep. I will tell my doctor about it today.

niseybear - Sunday, 29 June
Oh hi! . I see your due date is right around the corner....MY BIRTHDAY! Yes, it was a blessing to have our son born on Chanukah....it will always be his birthday in Jewish terms no matter when it falls in December. He was born the Jewish year of 5768 on the 25th of Kislev which is ALWAYS the first day of Chanukah. His "Gregorian" birthday is Dec 4th so he'll get to have 2 birthdays.
BOYS are FABULOUS little beings! You're gonna love it! Mommyhood is treating me VERY well! Thanks for asking! I have to leave the nursery now, my son has woke up 3 times since I've been in here and it's 10PM at night.

CarrieE - Saturday, 28 June
Hi! Good to hear from you! My husband is actually a production planner in sales operations for Under Armour, which is an athletic performance company (rival to Nike). I am a vocational specialist in the rehab dept at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. I work with patients with disabilities (brain injuries, etc) to help get them back into the workforce. It is a great hospital, but its much further from my home than my hospital. I just like the peace of mind of knowing my hospital is literally minutes from my house.

I just finished up washing all the baby clothes and putting everything away...took me so long!! We went to Pottery Barn Kids today and bought the last item we needed for the nursery...her rug. Now the nursery is complete!! I took some pics earlier that I'm going to post online. Once I get them up, you'll have to let me know what you think. So what theme is Elijah's nursery? You gonna post pics of it?

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that even though you arn't having any contractions, there is still hope for you. I had my son a week and a half early and I hadn't had a single contraction prior to that. My water simply broke. My daughter was three days early and the same went for her, I'm not feeling a ton of contractions this time around either but when I went to the doc at my 36 wk apt. she told me that I was 2cm dialated and 70% effaced aready. Go figure! i hope it works like that with you!!

proud mommy of two - Wednesday, 25 June

Yes i feel the same. My mom who's a family practicion said its due to your back being head down and so low. She said she couldn't even go to the bathroom because i was smashing her bowels... I hope that helps.
