Hi girls, I am 28 years old and expecting my third child. I have been married to John for 8 years. We have two daughters, Madison 7 and Marisa 2. They are sweet little girls. We are excited about this pregnancy. We are hoping for a boy, but whatever God gives us we will be happy. If it is a girl we will just have to keep trying for that boy. We both want a big family atleast 4 kids. This site is so cool. My sister(shellybelly81) is also expecting. She is due in February. Can't wait to discuss this amazing time in my life with all you wonderful women.

January 4th

1st Dr. appt today. Had u/s and saw the baby. It was dancing and waving to us. It was so cool to see. We also saw the heartbeating. My girls went along with my husband and they thought it was so cool. My youngest is only 2 1/2 yrs old, she was concerned with what they were doing to me. It was cute. My oldest thought it was funny that the baby was waving to us. I think for my husband and I it set in reality that there really is a baby growing in me. It was really cool to see the baby so early. My dr. never did u/s this early when I had my other kids. The dr. said I am 9 wks 5days today. I am so glad this appt is over. I was sort of scared to go in and get the u/s. You hear about all the bad stories out there and just hope your not one of them. I was praying the whole time during the appt. God heard me because so far everything looks great. This is the baby at 9wks 5 days. The head is huge and you can see one hand and the torso. Can't wait for the 20 wk u/s.

January 17th

Tonight I was out shopping for a baby shower gift for my sister and while I was standing there I felt the baby moving. It was so cool. At first I was like what is that it was like a flutter on the left side of my lower stomach. Then it happened again. I was so shocked because I didn't feel the baby move with my other two kids till I was about 14 wks and here I am only 11wks 4 days. It felt so cool, I can't wait to feel it again.

February 8th

I went today for my 2nd pre-natal appt. I heard the heartbeat for the first time, it was so cool to hear, 145 beats. That is slow compared to my two daughters and what their beats were around 160-150. So this is just comfirming in my gut that it will be a boy, plus I have taken two quizes online and they both said boy, the chinese chart said boy and the ring over belly test said boy. My next appt is scheduled for march 4th and the office that does the u/s will be calling me next week to set up my u/s appt, so within the next 3 to 4 wks we will find out what we are having. I am so excited. My weight is 123lbs. I have gained about 2-3 lbs which is good because I never got morning sickness just an appetite so I was worried I was going to gain alot of weight early.

February 15th

The dr's office called today and scheduled my u/s for March 6th I will be 18 wks 4 days then. I can't wait to find out what we are having. I really think it is going to be a boy. We will find out soon enough. I wish we could bring our girls with us but the dr's office I am going to has a no kids rule. Madison came with me for my u/s when I had one for Marisa, she loved it. She was so excited to find that she was going to have, a sister. Oh, well I will just have to tell them when we are done. John will probably cry if they say we are having a boy and so will I. If we find out it is a girl it will be cool to have 3 girls in the house. John will be surrounded by women. We will just have to have another one later on to try for a boy. I still can't believe I am pregnant and going to have 3 kids soon. Sometimes I forget and then the thought enters my mind and I'm blown away at the thought of having another one. Then I get really excited at the thought of having a baby around the house again.

February 17th

I felt the baby moving around while I was laying on the couch. So I put my hand on my tummy and I felt the baby kick me. It was so cool to feel it on my hand and not just in my stomach. I told John next time it happens he better be around. I can't wait to feel it all the time.

March 6th

I went for my ultrasound today. It was so exciting. My husband came with me. We are having a baby GIRL! We are so excited. The whole time I thought it was a boy, but I am glad it is a girl. I know how to take care of girls. I told my husband I wouldn't know how to take care of a boy, how do you potty train them? I have experience with girls. We also have saved everything from my daughters, so we won't have to buy anything except diapers and wipes. We got to see her heartbeating, her legs moving around, her hands and her profile. She is so beautiful. All her organs are in perfect order. Her kidneys are working because her bladder was full. She is weighing in at 8 oz. Her feet measured in at 2.5cm they were so tiny. I can't wait for her to come and I will get to hold her. My daughters are so excited. I think we are naming her Samantha. We like Sam for short. We are still thinking of a middle name. My youngest daughter calls her Mamfa. It is so cute. I will post a pic of her.The ultrasound tech had a good point about the heartrate. I asked her if boys were usually low and girls high and she said it isn't true. She said when they take the heartrate you have no idea what the baby was just doing. They could be sleeping and the rate would be low or the baby just may be done from doing summersaults and the heart rate would be high. She said she doesn't know how that got started b/c it is a myth. It kind of made sense b/c the first heart rate they took of Samantha was really low 145 and then the last two were really high 159. Just thought I would add that little tid bit of info. She also said Samantha was measuring in 2 days bigger than the dr had her age at. So maybe she will come Aug.2nd.

March 20th

First day of spring. Samantha is moving like crazy. I used to only feel her at night when I was relaxing on the couch, but now she is every where all the time. I tried to have my oldest daughter feel her kick but right when I asked her Samantha stopped and went back to sleep. Oh, well four more months left I'm sure she will feel her soon enough. In 2 weeks we are going on the Disney Cruise for spring break. The dr. said this was an excellent time to go on a vacation. The girls are so excited. I got my daughter potty trained by telling her if she wants to go on the mickey boat she can't wear diapers.(You have to be potty trained to go in the kids club at 3 or they have to go in the baby nursery.)So everytime she goes potty she says" mommy I get to go on the mickey boat, yeah!" She is so excited and to be honest my husband and I can't wait to go. We are a bunch of big kids, I can't wait to eat all the food :) I hope I don't gain to much weight b/c my dr.appt is right when we get back. I will have to post pics of us when we come back.

April 10th

My eye started hurting last night so I looked in the mirror and my eye was bright red and it felt like sand got in it. It was so sensative to light and was tearing alot. I went for my prenatal appt and she told me to go across the hall to the eye dr and see what was going on. So I did and they got me in for an appt. My diagnosis Eye Infection. Oh man does it hurt. It feels like sand in my eye and they had to put all kinds of drops in my eye that felt like fire burning then they dialated both eyes. Not very fun. I have to put drops in my eye every hour for a week. Pray to God it goes away, specially the sensativity to light. I could hardly drive home it was horrible. Anyways other than that the baby is doing well. She was moving like crazy when the dr was trying to get her heart rate. I asked her about having braxton hicks contractions this early and she said as long as they aren't in a pattern and no blood is showing than it is just my body practicing for her arrival. I bet she comes early b/c I never got braxton hicks contractions this early. I gained 7 pounds this month. Wow, but she said I have only gained a total of 13 pounds so far and I am doing really well, not to worry. I have to go do my glucose testing this month and than next month I go for my rhogam injection for my RH- blood type.

May 14th

Went for my 28th week prenatal visit. Everything was good gained 7 more pounds for a total of 20 pounds. I had to go to the hospital to get my rhogam inj which didn't really hurt while getting it in my buttocks but all day my butt was sore. The babies hr was in the 150's and she is head down already. Yeah. My appetite has changed this week, I can't eat as much food it feels like it stays in my throat so I guess she is getting bigger and starting to squish my stomach. So I have been eating little meals or snacks throughout the day. With my second daughter I only gained 10 pounds in the last three months and I looked back at my journal with her and I am on the same weight and weeks. So I think I will probably only gain 10 more pounds. My ligament in my pubic area has been hurting when I get up from sitting or push something like a grocery cart. So my husband is going to have to start doing the grocery shopping for awhile till the baby comes.

May 27th

30 wks dr appt. Weighed in one pound less than last appt. I could tell b/c eveytime I ate somethings I noticed I can't eat alot it feels like she is starting to squish my stomach. I am feeling really good. The dr said her hr was in the 140's and my uterus was measuring 30 on target. So everything is going well right now. Next appt is on June 11th.

June 11th

32 wk dr appt. Weighed in at 144 pounds, gained 3 pounds in the last month. Bp was good and her hr was 150's. Her head is still down, and I measured in at 32cm. Everything seems to be going well. Next appt. June 24th. I am getting so excited. We can't wait for her to come and we all get to love her up.

June 25th

34wk dr appt. Weighed in at 148 pounds, gained 4 more pounds but my home scale says I am 146 oh well. The baby is growing and kicking my ribs like crazy. Her head is still down. My bp was 110/61, her heart rate was still in the 150's. I asked the dr about the SPD I have and if I get an epideral if it will take care of the pain while pushing, she said that it should just will feel some pressure but no sharp pains. I asked if I could be induced on my 39th wk and she said if my cervix is favorable it would be fine. Yeah! (my cervix better be favorable!) My daughter who will be 8 in 2 months asked if she could be in the delivery room and the dr said yeah that's fine. She watches birthing shows on TV with me so I think she will do fine.So I told her she could be up by my head so she won't really see anything till the baby is put on my tummy. She wants to be the first kid to hold her. I can't wait. We are so excited.
