WE HAD OUR SON, NICK, AUGUST 24,2007!!! HE WAS 7.0 LBS EVEN AND 20.5 INCHES LONG. NO STITCHES OR TEARING...EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! MY HUSBAND AND I COULDNT BE HAPPIER. I WAS INDUCED THAT MORNING AND HAD HIM BY 3:06 PM. I WAS IN LABOR FOR ABOUT 6 HRS. MY HUSBAND WAS A WONDERFUL COACH. CHECK OUT MY PIX...OUR SON IS SO ADORABLE!

MARCH 6~ Hey everyone!! this is mine and my husband's first baby, and we're really excited. We found out the day before our 1st wedding anniversary. (huge shock!) I feel huge for 15 weeks!! We had the first sono at 9 weeks and we just got to hear the heartbeat at my last appointment. I have a feeling we're having a girl, but my husband and I have no preference. If the baby is a girl, her name will be Kaitlyn Alexandra, and if its a boy, he will be Nicholas Alexander. Hopefully we'll find out the sex at the next sonogram! I was one of the lucky ones that didn't have any morning sickness at all, but I get soooo tired!! I hear that I should be getting my energy back soon, but when am I gonna stop having to pee every 15 minutes??!! ~Tara

MARCH 8~Well it looks like I'm finally getting more energy!! What a relief. Since I began my second timester I've had bad headaches off and on and my nose bleeds (not gushing), I'm also worried that I might have a bladder infection...I know its normal to pee a lot while you're pregnant, but this is ridiculous. I have my next appointment on the 21st and they'll schedule my second sonogram...(hopefully we'll learn the sex!) At my first appointment they did a pap and it came back abnormal, so they have to do some sort of weird test to see if I might have cancerous cells. Has anyone else had an abnormal pap while prego? When they told me I was really scared, but they said not to worry at all (easy for them to say). They also said that it has nothing to do with the baby's health. ~Tara
March 22~ Well I'm a little over 17 weeks now and feeling the baby kick everyday. Some days I feel it a lot and other days its not as strong. I had my colposcopy yesterday at my monthly appointment because of that irregular pap from a few months back, and everything looked normal. no cervical cancer...what a relief. The baby's heart rate went down to 144 bpm. It was 175 at my last ultrasound! Hopefully we'll find out the sex of the baby on April 18th when we go for our next u/s. We're really excited! My boobs started to leak a little, but other than that everything is great with the pregnancy right now. Love, ~Tara

April 18th~ We just got back from our baby appointment and my 21 weeks u/s....ITS A BOY!!!!! So much for mother's intuition! lol i thought it was a girl! He looked so big compared to the last u/s! his heart rate was 136 bpm this time, and everything was perfect. We're so excited! He was moving like crazy in there! Now I cant wait to pick a theme for the nursery! love~Tara

April 4, 2007~~ Hey everyone...I'm in pain....My back has been bothering me on and off for a little while now, and just within these last few days here, I've been having spasms on my left side of my tailbone. Today I got up and it hurt so bad to even put pressure on my left leg, or roll over in bed without a painful spasm. I called the doctor and they said its probably my sciatic nerve, and theres not much I can do about it besides use a heating pad and take extra strength tylenol....HELLO, ITS NOT WORKING! I really don't know what to do. I'm not even 5 and a half months pregnant yet and I can't live with this pain through the rest of the pregnancy. Its just hard for me to believe theres nothing they can do. If anyone has any tips or suggestions PLEASE share them. I'd really appreciate it. love~Tara

May 9, 2007~~ its 12:39 am....im alone in the house (accept for my pups) and all I want is for my husband to come home from work with a tomato!!!! lol...i have a craving for sliced tomato with vinegar, salt and pepper...yummm....sounds weird but I don't care. Anyway, the "baby doc" moved my appointment up to the 11th so we'll see what happens. I noticed that my bump seems to be growing upward, towards my ribs, rather than out in front of me or side to side. Is anyone else like this? Is it normal? Love~Tara..........................LATER MAY 9~~ wow have I had an eventful morning. Early this morning I was in the bathroom and my back was hurting so bad that I sat down on the floor and could not get back up. My husband had to practically carry me and I was screaming with pain. I couldn't apply any pressure to my left leg and it hurt my tailbone area just to move (felt like stabbing). My husband was so scared that he called an ambulance and I went to the ER. They told me that it was not my sciatic nerve but my Sacroiliac joint slipping due to the hormones that are preparing my pelvic area for labor. Everything is loosening up and that joint is slipping and causing the excrutiating pain. They said that there is nothing they could give me and they couldn't even x-ray me right now but they suggested that i buy a pregnancy support band to relieve some of the pressure. They also did a urine culture and found that i have a UTI! I'm glad they found that out because I had no symptoms at all. They prescribed Macrobid (antibiotic) and then sent me to labor and delivery to make sure everything was ok with the baby. They monitored him and everything was perfect..heart was beating at a steady 138...he was hyper this morning though, moving around like crazy!! After that I went home, finally, able to get some sleep because the back pain was decreasing. I'm afraid that this is only going to get worse as the baby grows...theres no way to tell right now though. I can only hope for the best. If anyone has any suggestions or has used a pregnancy support belt could you let me know how it worked? thanks so much! love~Tara
May 11, 2007~~ Hey everyone! I feel soooo awesome! I don't know what it is but ever since I've been taking the antibiotics from the ER I've had less and less back pain. yesterday and today I had none at all!! Today, at my baby doc appointment, the doctor said that it had to be connected somehow. Who knows, who cares...I'm not complaining! I just cant believe it! The doc told me everything else was great, ordered my glucose test, so I'll have to go to the lab sometime in the next week before my next scheduled appointment. I guess I'm doing everything right as far as my skin goes too, because he said my skin looks really good...and still not a sign of stretch marks. Hope everyones doing awesome!! Love ~Tara

July 9,2007~ I had my baby doctor appointment today and everything is perfectly normal....I was having cramping and I told them I was worried that the baby wasn't moving as much as before, and they did a bunch of tests. First they checked to make sure I'm not leaking amniotic fluid, then they checked my cervix...after that they did a non-stress test, then a sonogram. Everything was perfect, so who knows why I"m cramping...I'm assuming its just BH contractions that are hurting??? I'm very stressed right now, because money is really tight and my husband has way too much on his plate. I worry about him. He's working full time plus overtime 3:30pm -3:00am, he's taking classes online for work that have a deadline, so he can get a certification, plus struggling to remodel our house in his spare time. Now he's out applying for a second job, part-time, until the baby comes....I'm so upset. On top of everything else, we're being taken to court for my ambulance ride back in May. This is the worst timing for all of the things going on...The baby is due next month and theres still so much to do. I miss my husband, and I hate that he has to be the one to worry about everything.

August 2, 2007~ My next bay doc appointment is tomorrow, and I'm now going every week!! yay! I can't believe that Nick is due at the end of this month!! I have been nesting like crazy. I can't stop. lol... I've been waking up with swollen hands and feet these last couple weeks..yuck...I just keep telling myself that its almost over so suck it up. From 34 weeks on I added my belly shots to my pictures instead of putting them on my page. check 'em out! love~Tara
August 11, 2007~ I did the stupidest thing in the world last night...I got the brilliant idea to drink castor oil to try to induce labor...after spending a long night in the bathroom, and having lots of painful contractions, I finally had to wake up my husband and go to the hospital. At the hospital, I told them that I took castor oil and they were like "Ooohh noooo!! Why did you do that!?" I felt like such an idiot. So they put an IV in to hydrate me, and hooked me up to monitors and made me drink a pitcher of water. The baby wasn't moving much and his heartrate was lower than usual for him, but once I drank the water he was back to his old self. They monitored my contractions and they were 4 minutes apart consistently, and they checked my cervix and said I was thinning out (about 70% effaced) and at 1-2 cms..... The doc said the baby was coming by dinner time today. MY husband and I got really excited and started calling our friends and family...My husband left because he was gonna pick up the hospital bags and my mom...we couldn't believe it was really time! they had me all ready and papers filled out...then the contractions started to slow down as i got more hydrated....and the doc checked me again and said I seem less far along then I did the last time she checked me...WHAT??? ARE U SERIOUS?! I was being sent home! I had to call everyone and tell them it was a "false alarm". Disappointment is not the word for how I felt...I was so pissed at the doctor for giving me hope and then taking it away. I lost part of my mucus plug in the hospital and the rest of it tonight around 7 pm... I'm now at home...my husband is sound asleep, I'm sitting here by myself, lonely, with no baby, and a newly discovered bladder infection....fun...damn the castor oil....love ~Tara
August 23, 2007~ I AM SOOO EXCITED!! I HAD MY 39 WEEK DOC APPOINTMENT TODAY AND THEY SAID THEY WILL INDUCE ME TOMORROW AT 6A.M. THEY SAID HE'S READY TO GO SO IF WE WANTED TO IT WAS NO PROBLEM...WE WERE LIKE "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!" I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE GONNA BE HOLDING OUR BABY IN OUR ARMS TOMORROW!! WISH ME LUCK! LOVE~TARA
