Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Friday, 23 May I have 2 wonderful kids and am expecting a 3rd in December. I was a heavy smoker, and never really quit until this pregnancy. We had a miscarriage in October of 07, and I think it was because of the smoking. Even though I quit this time, I still want a smoke every single day. I sometimes sit in front of the store and argue with myself about going in and buying a pack. But I just go back to the heart ache of the loss and I go home and suffer, until I stop thinking about it. Honestly, it has gotten better of the last few weeks. Good Luck, I know what your are going thru. mama-sl0p -
Thursday, 22 May Hi, I'm from week 23 and I, too, was a heavy smoker. My bf and my friends smoke all the time as well. For me right when I found out I was pregnant I quit and I have been smoking since I was 14. Maybe try cutting down until you no longer smoke. It's really hard but you can do it :) mariettap -
Thursday, 22 May I wonder if your OB will have something to offer you to help you kick your smoking. It must be tough. I know you're trying hard to do something good for your baby. You'll find your way. springtime -
Thursday, 22 May good luck on the no smoking thing, you can do it. Tmamma -
Thursday, 22 May I don't smoke, but I have others habits I am trying so hard to break and I know how hard it is! Good luck to you. It would also really help you baby if you were not by other people when they are smoking--maybe if you start doing that, that could help you build some confidence to not smoke yourself you know? Good luck! JenniferJo -
Thursday, 22 May I know how you are feeling about smoking. I am still smoking like 2-3 a day and I feel guilty about it but everyone has their vices. I am trying to quit the last few a day but it is hard, especially after I eat. I am still working, so I only take 1 cig to work with me and have it after lunch. As for other people in your life that smoke, just explain to them that you are trying to quit for the baby and ask them not to smoke around you. Not having the cig's with me all the time is what helped me most though. maybe we can be supportive to eachother and quit with eachothers help. :) lil-mish -
Sunday, 11 May Oh, and taking the vitamin with Sprite really helps, too. It must help to settle my stomach. =) lil-mish -
Sunday, 11 May fpookiess, I take either prenate elite or prenate DHA. I have the most sensitive stomach, ever! So far, I have been able to keep them both down (except once when I drank water too fast while taking prenate DHA, but I think that wasa fluke). I take the vitamin at night, usually, and not on a full stomach. - lil-mish mariettap -
Saturday, 10 May Do I get to go first? Yay! Congratulations to you fpookiess! I hope your pregnancy is going well for you so far. You can try out some other brands for your prenatals. Maybe try an over the counter variety and see if you do any better. I'm just taking a Women's One A Day as I always have, but I added a folic acid supplement. Most OB's aren't all that passionate about which one; They hear complaints all the time about vitamins causing heartburn, nausea, constipation, etc. They just want to be sure you're getting some vitamin support, pref w/ folic acid. My old OB used to say if you just can't take anything else then take 2 Flinstones a day. Feel well. happy Mother's Day. :)
