Monday, 23 June The same thing happened to me yesterday, only it was from my step-mother in law. We were telling her the name we likefor our girl, and she was like "eww"! I was so mad at her, because I still like it, and if we do end up giving the baby that name, I will always know she hates it! I wish she would just keep her negativity to herself!! When we told her we were expecting, all she said was "November is a horrible time to have a baby" and she went off about how she would probably get sick and all that.
Anyway, I know how you feel. I told my husband that this baby is definitely bringing out the defensive mother in me! akt825 -
Monday, 23 June Not sensitive! Pregnant! The fact that she insulted your choice in names probably hurt. She probably could have been nicer about it.

Friday, 20 June you're sooo welcome! are you in the u.k.? most people where you live don't have baby showers, they might not know what you're hinting at. you'll have to maybe drop some BIG hints! or leave some websites up or something. ;) And yes, it's nice just to socialize w/everyone too!
i've not had a doula. when i had my 1st son, i'd never even heard of a doula. i'd only heard of a doula a few mos ago. a doula won't do a home birth w/me because i'm considered/labeled 'high risk' because i had a c-section w/my 2nd son. i COULD hire the doula to go to the hosp w/me but i already know the midwives (i had the same drs and midwives w/both of my 1st 2 kids).
again, you're most welcome and if i can answer Q's, i'll be MORE than happy to!

Thursday, 19 June Oh my gosh, baby showers are so fun! It is a day dedicated to you & your unborn baby & you are the center of attention. Normally a baby shower should be done at 8months and your friends and relatives come over play games, eat, socialize and you get to open gifts for you baby. Usually someone really close to you would be the organizer. Like for example; your mom, sister, sister in-law and they are incharge of inviting the people, they coordinate the whole thing from food, invitations and games. Sometimes they will do a suprise (that's what my sisters & mom have done for me but I am so unpatient, I will eventually find out when it will he held lol) but if you don't want a suprise, you can help coordinate too. I don't know if they have babies R Us, Walmart or Target in the UK but you can register there and people just go there and get a list of gifts you want and they buy it for you. Someone should definetely do a baby shower for you. They are fun and exciting. Keep me posted & let me know if you have one done

Thursday, 19 June Hello Lady, how are you?? So i had my big scan today...... We're having a girl Poppy Jane, also we have been told my cerclauge will be removed on 5th Oct so bunny can come anytime there after woohoo. Much Luv xxxxxxxxxxx DiamondN -
Wednesday, 18 June So I told the other girl the same thing. You should try a body pillow for the front, a regular pillow for back support and sleep on your left side. I have read not to sleep on you front or back but I can't find exactly why they say to sleep on your left side. I think it must have something to do with the baby resting on an organ or something. I don't know. But that's what Im doing and it seems to be working. I just started puting the back pillow to use. The body pillow has SAVED my sleep thus far. I don't know what I would do with out it. Good luck and I hope I helped you a bit.

Wednesday, 18 June Yeah, I get real stressed out too. That sucks that you still have m/s; hopefully it will subside soon. My big u/s is next Fri and I am Soooo excited! I hope the baby is not shy.lol. I have been feeling the baby move alot and I notice it even more after I eat or drink something. I have still been really crampy on and off; it worries mr sometimes, but the midwife says it's normal. I don't know sometimes it feels like menstrual cramps and I am so tender in my abdomen and in my area; you know what I mean. I have had these damn cramps this whole pregnancy. Well, take care of yourself. bunnyintheoven -
