I also have VERY dry lips... I have to apply Chap-Stick like every 15-20 minutes... My lips also peel alot and bleed when the skin falls off... Sorry I can't be of more help.

Our last u/s she was 1 lb 5 oz! Oliver's big for his age! Awhhh...
Well, I'll be praying for you that your placenta gets its act together and starts cooperating! Everything will turn out fine.
Our next u/s (next Friday), they are also going to do one of the internal ones....I'm not exactly sure why though. And when she told us (at our last appt), I wasn't really in the frame of mind to ask - because we had just found out the sex, etc. Kinda makes me nervous like something may be concerning to them, but they didn't tell us.?? Brian says no way, that it's just because of the spotting that I had -- but that's been a long time ago...so I don't know. I'm trying not to worry about it.
At least you get to see him more! That's exciting!!!

Yikes! Sorry honey about your lips....fortunately I haven't had that problem, but it sounds really painful. I would just suggest to be drinking as much water as possible...like when you don't think you can drink anymore, drink a little more. Is your skin really dry too, or just your lips? You might want to put a post on the forum asking if anyone else has had that problem and what they did for it....bet you're not the only one.

I know!! Time is flying by now! It's like I can't wait to meet her...but I bet once the pregnancy is over, it will be kinda sad.
No, I think I've always thought I would breastfeed. Seems pretty natural to me. Not that I like to see people whipping the boob out in the middle of a store and doing it - I'm not that natural! Like you, I've always had the big boobies too! We say they're fun for the whole family. LOL Have you looked up any info on breastfeeding and the benefits, etc. Maybe that would help put your mind in the right direction.? I know my doctor asked me if I plan on it, and I said yes, as long as I can (knowing that some women have problems and can't). He said that in most of those cases, he doesn't believe the mother tried long enough and gave up. I've got a few girlfriends that have said the same thing. You have to be patient with yourself and the baby....not all babies latch on right away. And I think we just assume that they'll automatically want to start sucking on it when they pop out! Anyway, to make a long story short, yes, I plan on doing it. I did post a question on quite a few of the 30+ week pages asking about different pumps. I initially thought I would get a Medela (knowing it's the gold star), but then started considering the Playtex Advanced - - there was a Playtex representative at Babies R Us when we registered, and she told us a lot of information about the pump, etc. But, as I expected, everyone suggests the Medela. The only negative thing I've heard is all the accessories you have to purchase to go along with the pump (filters, etc), and that it's kind of complicated to clean and put back together. But, I would think after doing it a few times, you probably get the hang of it. The one I've registered for is $280, so who knows if I'll get it....but I'm going to save up I think. Since I'll have to go back to work right away, I'm going to need to pump those puppies!

Geez girl - you did good! I (surprisingly) haven't suffered from first child syndrome. I got a TON of things at a yard sale a few months ago - everything was in really good condition. I spent $150 and I looked everything up on line when I got home - I would have spent over $900 if I would have went out and bought it all new! Brian wasn't as excited as I was, but oh well. I've been looking at different breast pumps too. I was actually just looking on EBAY. I registered for the Playtex breastpump. But I think I really want the Medela Advanced.... I'm not sure about buying a used one. They say they are a one person use item (for sterilization reasons). Just make sure you buy all new tubing, etc for it. Is it a double or a single? They sure are expensive, so if it works, you got a grand deal! We haven't signed up for classes yet. The hospital offers them, but so does our doctors office. The woman who does it at the doctors office gets more in depth and can tell us more about what to expect with our specific practice. So, I think we'll probably take the classes there. I think they are on Monday nights for 3 weeks. Not sure how much they cost. What do yours cost?

Hey honey! Maybe you could give your mom a nice little hint about the shower...maybe tell her that my mom's throwing me one...or ask her who she thinks is going to throw you one.? I'm sure someone will throw one for you. I would do it if I was there!!! :-)))
Oliver's nursery sounds like it's gonna be really, really cute! I'm so jelous!! You have no idea how ready I am to start on things.....it's probably going to be August before I can start....ughhhhh, makes me sad and anxious.
Still not sure at all what her name is going to be. Maybe we'll name her nameless....no, poor girl. We'll name her something. What a big decision! The pressure! This human will be known by that name forever. No real significance on Grace. I just really like it.
Hate to hear that you guys won't be able to make the trip out here!! Do you think you can make it to my shower? It's going to be August 9th at my mom's in Belleville. Not sure if Jon would have to work - but he and Brian could hang out while we party! I'm not sure how long we'll be there - going to have to play work by ear. But dinner would be great as well. Let me know if you would like to come to the shower - I'm making a list for my mom. Would be wonderful to see you!!!!!!

I know what you mean. I started a bib when we found out we were preggers- - it's in a closet somewhere now. I get bored too easily! I'll probably finish it for my grandchild! I love the ladybugs too! Target has one (not as cute) but that's quite a bit cheaper. We'll see...
Branson sounds like fun - that is a long trip for one day! I don't know how long we'll be coming in for in August. I'm guessing we'll leave here on Wed and have to drive back that Sun....don't want to think about it. Brian's step-mom wants to have a shower for us in S. Carolina, so I guess we'll try and make that trip over Labor Day weekend. That's a 9 hour drive. Who's going to be having your shower? When's it gonna be?
I had forgotten about Target and returns....I'm not exactly sure what the policy is, but can't you only return like 2 things in one year with out a receipt or something? I wonder if you don't have the receipt but it's on your registry...? Babies R Us told us that in the next 60 days (I think) they will be changing their policy to where you have to have a receipt too. I guess too many people were taking advantage or something!
Not sure what we're gonna do this weekend. I've got to keep his butt in the basement and get it done! I'm so anxious to get started on the nursery! It's driving me nuts!!!! I think I'm going to paint it a really faint green color. That will go ok w/ the bedding. Not sure about wall decorations, etc.
We've been looking thru name books....she's gonna be nameless. LOL We (I) obviously like McKenna Grace. We also like Lola and Caroline. I like Anabella too....I don't know! What a big decision!!!!

How are you feeling?
Doing good here. My belly used to be much flatter in the morning - and grow during the day and huge at night. But, now it's big all of the time!! We got registered at Babies R Us, Target and Wal-Mart. I'm sure there are still things we need to add / subtract....
Brian's been busy working on the basement. Don't know where the time is going!!! I've had already and have still a busy week with work! Lots of travel - and by the time I get home I'm pooped!! Whatcha doing this week? Anything good?

Well, we're in Colorado on vacation right now in the beautiful Rocky mountains!! Isn't that enough? LOL Actually we're going sailing tomorrow on Lake Dillion - it's so pretty here....I don't want to go home and 'back to reality'....but, the big day is getting sooooo close!!
