Hi My name is Melanie I am from Queens, New York I have an 11 year old daughter and now I am pregnant again. I am 8 weeks and I am feeling great. I went to the doctor at 6 weeks everything was OK got to hear a heartbeat and now my next checkup is November 28th. I can't wait!!!!!!.

I am feeling very nervous about starting over again but my daughter is byside herself with happiness.

Today I am 12 weeks, I am so happy to be here I feel so at ease now. Yesterday I went to the doctor to get the down syndrome test done on the baby. I was a little nervous but every thing when really well and from the look of the sonogram the doctor said everything looked normal and that the baby was very cooperative I just have to wait for the blood work to come back. I did get to hear the heartbeat and the the pictures they gave me were great. I am a quarter done two more to go. My next doctors check up in Decemeber 18th (My Mom's Birthday)

Decemeber 12, 2007

Today I am 13 weeks I feel good except for the headaches sometimes and I cannot button my jeans at all I feel like my belly got bigger in just one week. I am very crabby and nasty my poor husband looked up on the internet "How to deal with a crazy pregnant woman?" LOL. I drive him nuts but Thank God he forgives me. I am still very tired if I could sleep all day I would :). Can't wait for the doctors appointment next Tuesday.

Today I am 14 weeks and I feel good. I just finshed my school finals and that has been a weight lifted off my head. Yesterday I heard the heartbeat and that was great the doctor was laughing because the baby kept moving and he said the baby is having a good time in there LOL. He said the baby is kicking even though I cant feel it. I am still moody but I am feeling great. Next doctors appointment is Jan 17th. Baby dust to all the ladies.

Today I am 15 weeks I had a great Christmas and a great week. I think I felt the baby kick me in the side last night. My husband said are you sure that is not gas, but I know I felt a kick. Of course everyone was touching my stomach and I took pictures and I really did look pregnant for the first time. This time next week we will be in the new year and I cant wait. Today I am 17 weeks I feel like it is moving quick. I found out what I am having on January 22nd and at first I did not want to know I am now very excited about finding out :). Last night was the first time I felt a real kick and tonight I have been feeling them here and there. I am still very moody and easily irrated. I told my husband I am dying for one glass of wine just to calm my nerves LOL. WE are moving next Friday and the house is a wreck so that is adding to the irration I am feeling. I get tired here and there but all in all I am feeling great. 3 more weeks and I am helf way there I cant wait. Baby dust to all the ladies :)

So I have not updated in a while so I thought I would it has been a crazy month. I am 22 weeks today and I found out on Jan 19th that my one of my best friends in pregnant with my boyfriend's twin brother's baby LOL. Than on the Jan 22 I found out I was having girl my boyfriend did not take that to well he really wanted a boy but that is to bad for him he will get over it at first I was really mad by how pissed off he was but now I aggravate him by telling him everyday we are a girl not a boy and that his brother is going to have the boy LOL. At the same appointment the woman who told us hwta we were having was a nasty bitch and was really hurting me she also tells me that I am supposed to have three cords in my placenta but I only have two and that she does not see the liver tells me i have to go for fetal echo with no explantion whatso ever. Only that two cords causes low birth weight She looked annoyed that this was her job. I went for the echo and evrything went really well the doctor said she can find everything but when she goes to take the picture the baby moves out the way. The doc said she is very active. I have my montly dr appointment today the worst part is getting on the scale LOL. I have no symtoms except that I am very nasty, headcahes and have trouble sleeping. Thats all I only have 18 more weeks and cant wait to meet my little one then I look forward to meeting my friends baby.. Baby dust to all the ladies

Febuary 14, 2008 - Valentine's Day

So yesterday I go to the doctor and I gained 10 pounds in a month. I was crying so much I have gained a total of 30lbs in 22 weeks this is how much I gained my whole pregnancy with my daughter. I started out at 140 and I am now 170 I have not been 170 since I was 14 years old. I was crying so much the doctor just kept saying 'You had a bad month dont worry about it and that I should stay away from breads and pastas. I was so gung ho in the I dont care what I gained mode LOL until I got on that scale and she just kept going with that iron piece. I dont know if I stressing the weight or stressing how long its going to take me to lose the weight LOL. The Doctor said everything else is normal and because I only have two cords instead of thre in my placenta I will have to get alot of sonograms in the third trimester so he can monitor the baby. My next appiontment is March 19 I cant believe by then I will be 27 weeks. I feel like it is moving so quick I started coming down the weeks instead of counting up LOL. She does kick me all the time only during the day but no kicking at night I hope that means she will sleep throughtout the night :). Baby dust to all the ladies

I am 23 weeks today and not much has happened in this past week I feel the baby kicking more she goes a little crazy in the middle of the day. I also realized she kicks more when I drink orange juice LOL. My boyfriend still cant feel the baby kicking we have tried everything. I feel her kicking but he says he cant I figure in a couple of more weeks he should be able to. I am getting ready to do my registry on Saturday I cant wait but I cant walk so much anymore without getting really tired so I am hoping this does do not take to long. Well I only have 17 more weeks to my due date I am really looking forward to it plus the weather here will be nicer and I am looking forawrd to that to. Baby dust to all the ladies

Today I am 24 weeks and I had a pretty up and down week. The only good thing was that I did my baby registry and we had a great time. I went with my sister, her boyfriend and me and my boyfriend it was alot of walking but it was great. The past three days have been stressful. I found out yesterday that instead of 12 weeks maternity leave which it what I thought I got I only get 8 weeks then I thought maybe I would come back to work part time after the 8 weeks. I will not be covered for insurance with my union unless I work 35 hours a week. My boyfriend had the intensions of me being a stay at home mom for a year but he has not found a full time job yet and I am stressing like crazy. I know I should relax and enjoy this time but all I can think about it are we going to be able to pay the bills. Also I have never had anybody take care of me I have an 11 year old daughter and I have always worked and never depended on someone else to make sure bills get paid so I am having a hard time with that. I am hoping this week is better than last. I am happy that I only have 16 more weeks before I meet my little one. Baby dust to all the ladies.

Today I am 25 weeks and I can't belive it it feels like just yesterday I was setting up the account for this page and that was 17 weeks ago. I remember looking at other weeks thinking I cant wait to get there and I am getting there. I only have 15 more weeks which feels like a lifetime but is such a short time away. This week has been great because I have finally let go of all the worries about my boyfriend with work and my weight and evrything else because I know God will take care of me because he has a plan. So I am going to leave it in his hands. This week is my boyfriends birthday so I am looking forward to going out to dinner :) then dessert at his mom's house :). I have a WIC appointment on Saturday and I am hoping all goes well with that I need all the help I can get and only 13 weeks from Friday I leave this job. So all in all this has been good I am looking forward to another great week. Baby dust to all the ladies!!!!

Today I am 26 weeks and this week was a rough one. On Thursday my daughter got sick and I had to get her from school and she was in bed very sick with 103 fever for two days on Saturday was my boyfriends birthday and as soon as we left the house for dinner I could feel the cold coming on. By Saturday in the middle of the night it was over for me LOL. I was throwing up and so sick I could not move from my bed for three days and all I ate was crackers and ginger ale. I ended up losing 6.5 pounds and I had a 36 hour migraine. I was taking Tynenol like they were tic tacs it was the worst I have felt through this pregnancy. Yesterday I decided to eat a meal and felt so sick because all I ate for days was crackers. Today I having a stuffy nose but I feel much better so I am hoping my next week is better next Wednesday I do have my docctors appoinment and I am looking forward to that. Today I am 30 weeks I cant believe I am only 10 weeks away until my due date. It has been an ok 4 weeks I feel like they just flew by I had a doctors appointment and I gained another 9 pounds so I am up to 39lbs but I am not worrying about I am just enjoying eating things I like. As for the baby she has been kicking my ass there are days when she kicks from morning until night and then she wont kick all day the next day I think she tires herself out LOL. The heartburn is getting bad, I cant put my socks on anymore and its a pain to bend over LOL. I have so much pressure the hoo hoo that it hurts to turn in bed and to get up. I took my glucose test on Saturday morning it was the most disgusting drink I have ever had in my life I thought I was going to be so sick but I guzzled it in two glasses. I passed the test and I thank god I dont have to do that again. Well I am looking forward to the next weeks and I only have 8 more weeks of work left and I cant wait. One a great note we found that one of my best friends who is having a baby with my boyfriends brother is having a girl to and I am so happy about that because the babies will be 2 1/2 months apart and they will grow up together. Today I am 31 weeks and I am now down to the home stretch. I have to be honest I am getting bored with being pregnant and cant wait for Ava to get here :). I had a sonogram done yesterday because I have to be montiored due to the 2 cord vessel and she is doing great she is 3.7lbs but she is still in breech postition I have another appointment on May 6th and they told me that if she has not turned they will discuss my options. I am happy about the May 6th appointment because my mom will be here from Fla for my baby shower and she can come with me I have ot seen her since August so that is great. I am gaoing on Saturday on have the 3D scans done. I have them done at 19 weeks for the gender determination but I really looking forward to it now because she will be chunkier and will have better features. Not much else going on except for the heartburn and the pelvic pains I am in all day everyday. See ya next week baby dust to all the ladies.

Today I am 32 weeks pregnant with only 8 more weeks to I more looking forward to not having to work anymore in 6 more weeks. They know I am leaving and not coming back so I already trained someone and they put me in a room and have me doing work that is not in my job desciption and that no one else wants to do. I did decide to take the day off today because I cant stand being there and I had no one watch my daughter who is on spring break. I will bring into work with me tomorrow but they told me they would appreciate it if I found someone to watch her on Friday. I told them then I guess I cant come in. They can't fire because I am in the union and I am leaving on 6 weeks plus the girl I trained is leaving for greece for 2 weeks and they need me there she comes back 3 days befire my last day. If everything works out with this job for my boyfriend I wont even stay the extra days. I did have a great day off me and my daughter went shopping and we had fun I also had a doctors appointment and I only gained 2 pounds nothing compared to the 10 I been gaining every month. I am have sono in may 6 and a checkup on the May 7th so evrything is running smoothly with the baby. See you next week and baby dust to all the ladies :)

Well today I am 34 weeks time is flying :). I went yesterday afternoon for a sonogram and I was told that Ava only put on 1/2 in 3 weeks when she should have put on at least a pound or more I was told I to come back to be monitored. The doctor did tell me she was healthy I knew that this was one of the side effects of having a two cord vessel. I went last night and the babies heartbeat is great I have to go to the doctor and be monitored twice a week and I have a sono in 2 weeks if the sono shows that she is not getting bigger they are going to induce me. They want to push it to at least 36 weeks so I will be 36 weeks at my next sono appointment. So it looks like I am going to have this baby sooner then expected. I did tell me job that I will probably not be here until June 6th as planned they took it well but I can see they were annoyed well too bad for them. On a good note my babyshower was last saturday we had a great time I got so many wonderful gifts and my mom bought the crib it will be here in two weeks. I am going on Saturday to pick up the rest of the things I need for the baby and I am so excited about that. I am going by myself and I love doing things by myself sometimes because I really get to take my time. Baby dust to all the ladies.

So today I am 38 weeks pregnant and this is probably going to be my last entry and so much stuff has happened in four weeks since I last updated. I went for the sonogram and they told me she only gained 1 pound (4.12lbs) I was a liitle disappionted because I was hoping that was a 1 shot deal. So now they been having me go to the hospital 1 day a week to get monitored with sono and 1 day a week to get montiored with my doctor. Its alot of appointments but I feel it makes my days go by faster. I went last Wednesday and they did tell me if she does not gain enough wait they are going to induce me. I went to my doctor on Friday and I was told I had an induce date of June 19th. That date we have 2 graduations and one is my nephews and the other is my boyfriends step brother but my sister said dont worry we will work around it and my boyfriends mother said she will be there because I come first and that her stepson has a dad and he can go. I really needed to hear those things because I felt really bad about. On Sunday I was not feeling well and on Monday when I went back to work I was feeling worse. I went to my doctor that evening and was told I was totally thinned out and 1 cm dilated and that I could go at anytime but I still decided to finish out my work week because I could use the money she also did a quick sono and said the baby is still at 4.12lbs and that most likley when the doctor checks that on Thursday they will keep me but I said oh I thought my induce date was on June 19th but she said I wont make it till then anyway. But who knows I get a different story every time I go so I packed my bag and put it in the car just in case. As I am writing this I am starting to feel really uncomfortable. So most likely the next time I update it will be my birth story. Thank you ladies for being with me since 8 weeks I dont know where I would be without you. Baby dust to all
