Saturday, 7 June I went in, they were great at the Er, gave me antibiotics, which I knew was what I needed. Just wish that the Ob/GYN department had bothered to call, as it would have taken them all of 10 min to look at me and do the same prescription, ulgh. As was, I had a 2 hour wait at the ER, but it got done! Where were you in Germany? I had a miscarriage here, and they did the same thing to me, but I passed my little unborn one relatively quickly. I think it is more tramatic that way tho, as you have to see... I am glad you were able to get the d&c, I am active duty, and they still sent me home. Oh well, hope all is well with you and your little one! We both got our babies in the end... collsbaby -
Friday, 6 June Summer threw up with the nystatin too. I started just rubbing it in her mouth and not giving it to her in a dropper. Make sure you swab the whole mouth with it and make sure you ae putting it on your nipples too if breastfeeding. I was told to do it way more times a day than the bottle says. Yeast can grow back after an hour and a half so you want to make sure it doens't. The nystatin didn't work for us though. Good luck!! johna -
Thursday, 5 June She was put on nystantin. After a week, I took her back to the Dr. to have it looked at, and I also mentioned that she had started vomiting since she was put on it. My Dr. said she was fine to come off of it. I hope your little one gets better soon. weloveourbaby -

Thursday, 5 June Hi ... my baby girl had thrust too. And we were given the same med. The liquid form which I'm supposed to give 1ml with a syringe! Well my baby spits up lots too and has a sensitive stomach..so what I did was I soaked a Q-tip with the med and rubbed her tongue with it and did the same with the other end of the Q-tip. I wasn't about to giver her the whole doze of the med cuz I knew she'd lose her milk in a second after giving the med. Hope this helps..it worked for me! All the best to you and your baby girl :) weloveourbaby -
Thursday, 5 June hello...I hope your little one feels better soon! what is thrush? luvbeingamom -
Thursday, 5 June Yea pretty much. He was throwing up and had really bad gas. He was bf and never even spit up before that. It was awful. Though nystatin (spelling?) is the best for thrush there are alternatives. My doc was hesatant about giving me something else but i insisted b/c of how terrible a reaction he was having. Plus b/c of his throwing up and gassiness neither of us were getting sleep. I hope she feels better soon! luvbeingamom -
Thursday, 5 June My son had Thrush when he was about a month old. It was awful. I breast fed(feed) so that was an added risk. Plus to make a bad thing worse my son had a terrible reaction to the medication. He was getting VERY sick from it. So we had to try 2 other medications. The best advice is have is wash everything, often. Everytime something goes into babies mouth, clean it. Be it hands, bottles, binkys, breast, whatever. The thing with Thrush is that it gets re-introduced every time it is put back in the mouth. It takes a couple weeks to go away if treated properly. Also if you are breast feeding, i recommend getting a nipple shield ( you can get them from target, walmart, pretty much any baby store. Good Luck, hope your little one feels better soon and that you get some sleep. I promise it gets better!

Tuesday, 3 June hi, I'm Cindy. My little girl is 7 weeks old now and I have been pumping for sometime to build up my stock for work. I have come accross online that if you have a clogged duct it can come out looking like a "spaghetti noodle" when it releases and that it is not harmful to baby. Hope that is some help to you. Take care missygirl -
Tuesday, 3 June Thanks...good to know! Had you dropped? kmfitz -
Monday, 2 June Thanks for your comment!! I'm starting to finally feel better. But i still have times where I feel unexplainably upset--it's the weirdest feeling. It was bad enough on me being pregnant, I thought it would all go away right after!! I hope everything is going well with you :) MommyJewels -
Sunday, 1 June Hey!
I have no clue. I know people can bleed up to 6-8 weeks...but most people it levels off after a week. I am still bleeding a lot and passing lots of clots. I am going to call the doc tomorrow! I'll let you know. YolandaLee -
Saturday, 31 May All newborns want to be held, they want comforting. tell your hubby thats normal. if you leave them to cry it causes them great stress. Do what your instincts tell you ! Good luck monica9 -
Friday, 30 May i wonder if it does have something to do with the reductions. I also hate when the itch is on a part of my boob that I cant feel. Hopefully it goes away soon for us. monica9 -

Wednesday, 28 May I know how you feel! I am torn between wanting him to be an older baby who can play, but knowing I need to enjoy this infant time because it will end up going by so fast. My hubs is very helpful in the evenings, thank god. I feel for you being alone. My hubs had to work late twice since the baby was home and I was so anxious. I feel like it helps to get out of the house a little each day. We go walk around Walmart or the mall just to pass some time. My sister is about to deliver her second, and her husband works 5 14 hour shifts per week. I don't know how she does it all by herself either. Just know you aren't alone. Anyone who is honest will admit they feel the same way you do. nina -
Wednesday, 28 May Hiya - I felt the same as you when my little girl was 14 days old. Some days were worse than others I must admit. My husband realised and gave that extra bit of support which helped. He did some night feeds so that I could get some rest and I also think that giving yourself time to recover and adjust is needed. I was quite hard on myself in the beginning and I felt rejected when my baby wouldn't stop crying.
My baby is nearly 5 wks old now and I do feel alot better, I still have my moments, but I am told that it is natural.
If you suspect that you have more than the blues, you need to see your Doctor for advsie.
Happy times are ahead and it does get easier. Do some things that you enjoy.

Wednesday, 28 May No problem, I am here if you want to talk. nmck -
Wednesday, 28 May gabymom- my baby was 10 weeks early. After 5 weeks in the NICU, he came home almost 2 weeks ago. I was dying for him to come home. I did not realize how totally overwhelmed with the constantness of his care. I am not specifically sad, but have definitely had anxious times. A lot of anxious times, and trouble sleeping. I hear you! rabekah -

Love the hand on the head! She looks totally relaxed. What a beautiful little girl! I'm sorry to hear the kyro made her throw up. My daughter seemed to like it (I think it's sweet tasting) Did the dr have any other suggestions? I guess they are to little for juice, right? I've seen baby prune juice (YUCK) but that would definitely get things going. I don't know how old they have to be before juice, I think they are still to young....not sure????
