Me and the baby are doing great. No complants today , yesterday i was a bit out of it so to speak just felt that perhaps my sugar level went down. But i did eat something and was a-ok. This is my 1st pregnancy so every little thing make me a bit nervous.
Thursday i go to the doctor to get my blood taken so i can get BP(blood pressure) checked. Last Dr. visit i went in and they said my blood pressure was high. They didn't tell me right away they more like under there breath "well this is high let me go get a nother nurse to make sure". Which didn't help, it made me quite nervous hints my blood pressure going up higher,Yikes! Well the dr. then explain to me the concern. During the 5th month of pregnancy some 1st time mom-to-be develop high blood pressure which goes away after the birth of the baby. But mean while it is very dangerous for the baby amd the mother. Also goes by the name of "preclamsia" usaually the mother has a high precentage of protein in her urine.
My doctor checked and i did not have a high level of protein. But she still wants to check my blood for high blood pressure thursday to make sure. Which is good, It just makes me a lil nervous if i do have high BP.Dr. said it would be bed rest for me, Oh man! I have a feeling though im just fine and every things good. I think i got lil nervous in the doc's office which might have caused a higher reading then normal!

Hello Everyone,Test came back for my BP levels and everything was okay. I went to my doctors yesterday and heard my babies heart beat, what a great sound, he is doing good. Me on the other hand am doing well but just found out after all the testing that I have "gestational diabetes". Saturday I will begin my crazy eating schedule.Which is alot healther than before. I never have had diabetes before so this is new to me. The doctor said it is caused by the preassure that the baby is putting on my pancreas. Which after the baby is born I should go back to normal but still must mantain a healthy diet. Now that I have gestational diabetes I do have a 50 to 60 % chance of getting regular diabetes. So it will be a challenge to change my diet and stick to a schedule at first I think the worst will be checking my sugar level 7 times a day with a prick of a needle ,yikes!

Another day another doctors appointment. I am now going to the doctor every week now to keep a close eye on my blood glucose levels. Which with my change in my diet and pricking myself 7 times daily on schedule (blah)I am doing pretty good. Also my lil man is doing well with a heart beat of 140 and is becomming more active everyday.
This week Steve and I are doing the whole registrating for baby things. The more things I see the more I wish it was september already (lovelysigh). My next doctors appointment will be next thursday. Until then i'll be maintaining a healthy diet and living by an alarm clock. Just takes a little to getting use to.
Last night almost pulled my hair out. The bottom of my feet were itchy sooo bad. It sounds gross but there are no rashes redness or anything. Simple goes away during the day its like invisible itching. I spoke to the doctor about it and she gave me some cream but it doesn't seem to work very well. Got any ideas?

139 babies heart beat today. I went to the doctor and they checked all of my glucose levels that i've been keeping up with and in their words "beautiful" good to know. But .. of course theres always a but, my blood pressure was high again so they want me to come in and again take a BP level check. Maybe its the whole white coat syndrome. I am pretty sure my BP levels are a-ok. Yesterday we went for a walk and I experienced my first braxton hicks. A pain going from my belly button all the way down it stopped me right in my tracks. False contraction, Oh how I don't look forward to the real ones, maybe it won't be so bad .... maybe?

Todays doctor visit went well. It seems that Im taking and retaking test after test. The doctor is still concerned about my blood pressure. But I've taking the test and they come back negative and in good health which is very good. The dr. is concerned because high blood pressure (preeclamsia) pretty much develops over night. Thats why im taking it easy and avoiding stressful sistuations and my BP stays low to norm except when im going to see the doctor I think its just my anticipation of it all. My check on gestational diabetes doctor said my numbers are good. My little guy is doing well and moving alot with a great HB all smiles .Well thats my update for this week. Hope all the mommies and mommies to be are doing well ,God bless!

Lately I have been tottally bummed the doctor has put me on bed rest. Come to find out that my test for preeclampsia has come back to close to call. My 2nd test for preeclampsia and or high blood preassure was a 24 hour urine test to see how much protein was in my urine. To diagnose preeclampsia the protein count would be 300 mine was 285 ."Too close" the doctor says so I have to take it easy and stay in bed. My actual BP check at the doctors office have been good and i've been feeling fine. My glucose sugar count on the other hand has stayed the same. But the doctor not comfortable with the numbers so she has decided to put me on a small dose of meds to keep it down. We listen to the babies heart beat and he is doing very good. In 6 weeks we will have a ultra sound and see how the babies developing if the baby is too big because of the diabetes. I will need a c-section at 37 weeks. Goodness all this is coming to me just too fast ahh! Just have to pratice on meditation and relaxation.
