a book called "Baby Bargins" is great... it gives you information on everything... best, better, good.... and ratings and costs!!! Great ideas and things I had no clue I had to get and prepare for!!! Check it out!!

Hiya,
I got a tommee tippee one with a mat that goes under the mattress and will fire off an alarm if there is no movement after X amount of seconds. I got this purely being paranoid but I thought if he/she was upstairs in the nursery and I was downstairs at least I could relax knowing I could hear everything and had the added peace of mind of a movement sensor. You are due a few days before me - how are you getting along?

I get that feeling too, especially when I lie down. Its to do with the pressure of your baby growing and everything pushed up but also the valve to your stomach that usually stops food returning is more lax due to pregnancy and you will find that food will more easily repeat on you.

congrats, george! we are also not finding out the sex. i'm surprised to find how many women are! everyone keeps telling me how much easier labor will be because i'll be so excited to find out the sex i'll just want to push! there are so few surprises in life...i can't wait to be surprised!

Besides filling your bladder, the only things you have to do before your scan is to take a deep breath, think good thoughts, and smile. Sending good thoughts- let me know how it all goes!

So far I've ha a dating scan and my 12 wk scan and for both I was told to empty my bladder 2 hrs before the scan then drink 1-1.5L of water starting 2 hrs prior and to try not and wee again before hand. From personal experience though, just drink 1L. I tried to drink the 1.5L for my dating scan and was so full I had trouble walking and sitting down.
