Hello! Congrats to all of the new mommies out there! I am so excited that my hubby and I are pregnant with our first baby. Our due date is February 24, 2oo8. We found out the good news on June 20th. My husband and I saw the heart beating for the very first time on our 2 year wedding anniversary on July 9th. That was the BEST present that we could have ever asked for. :)
I would love to hear from any of you who are having their first and especially those of you who are expecting on or around February 24, 2008. I don't know about you, but I am extremely fatigued and nauseous. Does anyone have any tips for the nausea? Congrats to you and I hope that you and your baby are healthy. :) Take care of yourself!

Today my hubby and I went to the Dr. We are 10 weeks 4 days along. Our little one is looking more like a little baby now! :) It's amazing!!! We were able to get a videotape of the u/s and we could see the heart beating! Our due date is still Feb. 24, 2008. I am so glad that the morning sickness and headaches have went away. Thank you to everyone who has given me advice. I really appreciate it! Keep me posted on how each of you are doing. I'd love to hear from you!

Today we went to the Dr. for our 14 week check and we got to hear the heart beat for the first time! Yeah!!! It was so precious! It took a little time, but there it was loud and clear. My hubby and I are so excited and happy! Our Dr. said that it took a little bit of time because our little one was moving around. He/she is already a good swimmer! Haha! :) So we will go back in three weeks for bloodwork and then we go back at 20 weeks for an u/s. We can't wait to see our sweet little one again. :) I am so glad to be done with the m/s. I feel so much better and I have so much more energy than I did before. I feel like I am a grazing cow though, it seems that I am always in search for food. Lol! I have gained about 3-4 pounds so far. I hope that all of you are doing great! I'd love to know how you are doing! Please keep in touch!

Today was such an amazing day!!! My hubby and I went to the Dr. for our 20 week u/s. It was so exciting to see our little one! The last time that we had an u/s was at 12 weeks so it was so neat to see how much our sweet baby had grown. We were able to see the profile, spine, arms, legs, fingers, and toes. :) Words truly cannot express how wonderful it feels to be looking at your unborn baby moving around and to know that this tiny little baby was created from love. It's a miracle! I started feeling little flutters in my belly a couple of weeks ago, but now I can really feel them. At first it was like a little butterfly fluttering around, but now I can really feel the little kicks. I love it!!! When I feel them I let my hubby know so that he can try to feel it. He hasn't felt it yet, but I know that it won't be long since the Dr. said that our baby is about a week ahead of schedule as far as development goes. Yeah!!! Soon, daddy soon...... :)

Today was such an exciting day! My hubby and I went for a tour at the hospital where we will be delivering our sweet little baby. The women's part of the hospital just opened in July so everything is sparkley and new. They have the rooms set up like luxury hotel suites. Complete with flat screen T.V.'s in all of the rooms. They also have a chef who prepares a delicious steak and lobster dinner in celebration of the baby's birth. All of that is nice, but most importantly they have all of the state of the art medical equipment. It is nice knowing that they have everything at hand in the event that we would need anything. When we came home I was sitting and I started to feel the baby kick and I told my hubby to put his hand on my belly and Whoop!!!!! He got to feel the baby kick for the first time. His facial expression was so cute. His face lit up with amazement! Yeah!!!! Now every time that I feel the baby kicking I tell him so that he can feel it. It is such a beautiful experience and we are so happy to be experiencing every minute of it :)

Today we went to the Dr. for our 28 week check. Everything went well. The baby is about 2 and1/2 to 3 pounds and the heartbeat was good. I did have to get the Rogam shot for Rh factor. It wasn't so bad, just a little pinch and a little bit of a sting. No biggie. We go back to the Dr. in 3 weeks on December 26th for another check and then in 2 weeks after that we get to have the 33 week ultrasound. :) We can't wait to see our sweet little baby again! Daddy and I have been having so much fun feeling the little and sometimes big kicks. Lol! I hope that everyone is doing well. I would love to hear from you!

Happy New Year!!! Wow! So much has happened in the last 2 months! As I am writing this I am laying in my hospital bed. Where do I start? Last Thursday (December 28th) started out as a regular day. I spent the morning running errands and buying things for the baby. I met my hubby for lunch. We actually ate at home, because the plummer was coming to fix the water in the guest bathroom. I went to the bathroom and out of nowhere I started bleeding. It scared me so much! I yelled for my husband and we called the Dr. He had me come straight to his office. He did an ultrasound and saw that the placenta was still low lying. He arranged for me to stay at the hospital for the night so that they could monitor the baby. We also we had a Doppler sonogram done by a specialist. From that he could see that I have placenta previa (meaning a part of my placenta is covering the cervix). He also saw that a part of the placenta is detached. Up until this point we were hoping to have a vaginal delivery, but it is not even an option now. The good news is that our baby looked good and he said that he/she is almost 5 pounds. They gave me 2 steroid shots that are used to help the baby's lungs dev. in case we were to have to deliver early. We spent the night at the hospital. It was a very difficult night. I couldn't sleep because I was so worried. The bleeding stopped so my Dr. decided to discharge me with orders to be on bedrest at home. So, we left the hospital an went straight home. I got home, took a shower, ate lunch and rested the rest of the day on the couch until about 11:00 pm. We went to bed and then I woke up at 2:00 am. I couldn't sleep so I decided to get up. I ate some pretzels and drank some Sprite. I was wanting to get my bag packed for the hospital and get the baby's bag packed too. I went to the baby's room and carried a few of the small containers of baby clothes into the living room. I sat down to watch some tv and at about 5:00 am I felt something warm between my legs. I got to the bathroom quickly and I was bleeding alot. I was terrified!!! Without going into great detail let's just say that I was bleeding alot and it was coming out fast. I yelled for my husband and he brought me the phone. I called 911. I was in the bathroom and the dispatcher told me to lay down. I layed down in the bedroom on a towel. They told me to feel and see if the baby was crowning. Thank God that he/she wasn't. The ambulance showed up and I was rushed to the hospital. That was the longest ride of my life!!!! They didn't let my husband ride with me so that was even more distressing. When I arrived at the hospital they immediately started an IV, took blood, hooked me up tp the fetal monitor, the contraction monitor, checked my blood pressure, my temp., and did a vag. check. I also got another Rhogam shot since I lost blood. I was very scared, but it was so reassuring knowing that I was in the hospital and that they were taking such good care of me. My Dr. came to see me at around 8:30 am and discussed the situation with my husband and I. He said that if I were to bleed like that again we would have to do an emergency C-Section. Thankfully the bleeding slowed and stopped, but I was so drained emotionally and physically because I had only been able to sleep about 5 hours in 2 days.
