Hi there,
I have a Hi-bebe doppler and I got it at 11 weeks.
I have heard the heart beat every time I have listened in and it is really re-assuring.
As long as you search quite low down and be patient, I am sure you will hear it...... although dont panic if you dont !!
I bought mine through an ebay shop, but if you google Hi-bebe, you will find their website. It is supposed to be completely safe.

Hi, I wouldn't worry! Telling everyone will not cause any problems, and the worst thing you can do is focus on the negatives. Sometimes too much information does more harm than good!
My mother is so superstitious she won't discuss any part of the pregnancy with me until I am 3 months, which is next week thankfully!
Trust in your body and believe that you will have a beautiful and healthy baby, don't court disaster by thinking about it all the time.
Good luck, it is such an exciting time so enjoy it!

Hey, I did the same at 5 weeks and then wondered if it was the best thing to do. Now I realise that it was because I get to talk to my closest friends of my fears and apprehensions. Now everyone is helping and supporting me up to my 12th week on thursday. Enjoy your pregnany as I was told because the weeks will fly by and soon enough you will be in your second trimester. You and your baby will be just fine!

Don't worry about it! Stay positive and stay healthy! That's all you can do! I told some people right away too. And every week that goes by the chance of something happening gets less and less! Just relax and be happy and enjoy! Everything will be fine!

There is noting wrong with telling everyone early, it’s a happy occasion and you should celebrate. If I were you I would stop worrying about what could go wrong. I understand what you are going through because I was like that but the thing is those misfortune are one in many thousand.
